Oakleaf Hideaway è un cottage recentemente ristrutturato immerso tra gli alberi su 20 acri privati in cima a Lookout Mountain. Con sentieri privati, cascate e 2000 piedi di facciata su Straight Creek, il cottage è il luogo perfetto per rilassarsi e ricaricarsi. Situato a soli 1,5 km dal centro visitatori del Desoto State Park, il cottage è vicino a tutto, compresi Mentone, Little River Canyon e Ft. Payne.

Camera matrimoniale:
Goditi la serenità dei boschi e dei tramonti dorati dal comfort del lussuoso letto King con lenzuola a 600 fili. Le porte-finestre conducono al grande ponte posteriore con una buca per il fuoco.

Il master dispone anche di una zona salotto con un antico divano francese, un armadio principale, una cassapanca e un bagno padronale con lavatrice e asciugatrice di dimensioni standard.

Stanza degli ospiti:
La camera degli ospiti ha due letti singoli che possono essere uniti per le coppie. Questa camera luminosa e ariosa offre splendide viste sulla foresta e dispone di lenzuola lussuose, tendaggi e un murale incorniciato con legno di fienile locale invecchiato.

Cucina:
La cucina dello chef ben arredata presenta ripiani in blocchi di macellaio caldi, una grande isola rustica, nuovi elettrodomestici nero-inossidabile con fornello a gas e numerosi dettagli costruiti in legno da un vicino fienile del 1800. Scaffalature aperte segate a vista da una fattoria di famiglia vicina danno vita a un arredamento bellissimo e artistico.

Soggiorno sala da pranzo:
Il salotto a concetto aperto trasuda intimità e calore. Pavimenti in legno di rovere raschiato a mano, pareti con accenti in legno, camino lavato a calce e stufa a legna renderanno piacevoli anche i giorni più freddi. Una smart TV 4k da 40 pollici ha app Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime e Apple TV. Porta il tuo accesso al tuo provider TV preferito e goditi una serata al cinema. Mentre pensiamo che i giorni migliori siano quelli trascorsi fuori, abbiamo WiFi veloce e copertura LTE / 4G. Il soggiorno dispone anche di un divano letto estraibile con un nuovo comodo materasso in memory foam.

La sala da pranzo ha sei posti a sedere (ne abbiamo spremuti 9 attorno al tavolo) e forniamo anche porcellana e servizio per sei.

La porta d'ingresso è dotata di un lucchetto digitale e ti forniremo un codice prima del tuo arrivo.

This was the third year in a row that my wife and I with our fur baby have stayed At Tranquility and it’s been the best place we’ve stayed all 3 trips. Has all the amenities you would want or need. Bed so comfortable and clean. Well stocked kitchen. Remote and yet convenient. Close walk to clear stream and waterfalls on the back. And I could sit on front porch for hours. Deer walking through front yard. Heard turkeys gobbling this trip. We would recommend it to anyone.

Little River Cabin

This was great location, right between the Desoto Park and Little River Canyon. If you're looking for private charming cabin that's in the middle of everything in the area, this is the place. We will be staying here again.

Pet friendly. Ramp is wonderful for access to those with physical limitations. Comfortable furnishings. Beautiful seclusion. Blissfully quiet. Clean. Homey. Fantastic bed and pillows. This was a perfect place to rest and relax. Although there is a television and games and lots of things to see and do in the area, this is a peaceful oasis from a busy world. It’s perfect to read and write and rest!

Expectations Exceeded

Everything in the VRBO description was spot on, but better. We felt like we belonged here. A/C went out the first night and the owner had it repaired the next morning! We absolutely loved staying here…the personal welcome note, the dog goodies and attention to every thing to make us comfortable made this a mini vacay that we’ll treasure forever.

Wonderful stay

We had a great time. It’s very convenient to the state park and a great place for runs. The house had some great touches and the screen porch was great for reading and relaxing. The host communicated every step of the way and was very helpful when we left a couple of things behind. The dogs loved it too.

We absolutely loved this house. It was so neat and clean. The location is great, you are in between Mentone and Fort Payne. The screened in porch was the best. The host was exceptional. Would highly recommend.

Marriage getaway

Great get away. Home is perfect! Piano/guitar was a surprise for my musically talented hubby. Love the Roman shades, easy to raise and get the full pic of outdoors. The Christmas decor was nice and cozy.

Very clean and great location

The cabin was very clean and the location was great real close to the state parks . The outdoor area was a little overgrown and the keypad to get into the cabin was very sensitive and took several tries each time to get in. But overall fabulous place to stay and super clean and great location.

So relaxing!

This is a beautiful woodsy cottage close to the town. It has a wonderful layout, and is decorated beautifully. Everything was neat and clean. The side porch was perfect. The back deck could use a little work, but it wasn’t too bad.

Perfect Getaway!

I’m not sure which was more perfect the gardens in front of the house, the front porch, screened back porch or that the pictures of the house didn’t show just how comfortable this cabin is. The only thing missing was more time in our schedule to stay longer. We hope to be back soon!

Hidden gem!

We absolutely loved staying at Oakleaf Hideaway! The owners haven’t missed a single detail. The kitchen has literally everything you need. Beds are comfortable and the property is so unique and special. So close to Desoto State Park and Mentone. We’ll definitely be back!

Perfect Get Away

This is my first time to rate a Vrbo property after many stays. This cute farmhouse was like a home away from home. Everything was so well stocked especially in the kitchen. It’s the perfect place to unwind and get a away. Everything was so clean and well kept. We will definitely be back ❤️

Hidden Gem

We had a wonderful stay at this woodsy hideaway! Everything was perfect from the excellent directions to the super comfy king bed. The pictures do not even do the place justice. Wonderfully appointed kitchen with everything we needed. We really enjoyed relaxing on the screened in porch listening to the birds and even saw a few deer pass by. Close to great hiking at De Soto and Little River Canyon. Highly recommend!

We live in Orlando, Florida and fell in love with the small town of Mentone, AL where we host guests at our cottage.

Perché ha scelto questa struttura

We fell in love with the land before we fell in love with the house. We wanted some elbow-room and we're set on finding some land with extraordinary natural features. Once we walked by the small waterfall and down to the creek, we were sold. The house needed some love, and after about a year living in the home making it our own, we want to share it with you.

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

Without question, the land is special and we think you'll agree. We still love to get out and explore the property. We cut a couple of thousand feet of trail to make it easier to navigate, but we like to go off trail and find new spots. There is a 12' waterfall behind the cottage that flows down the mountain into a creek in the holler.
