We had a group of 8 including a 9 year old staying at the Moog House for four nights. It was plenty of room for us all. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking. House temperature was perfect. Very interesting house with lots of books and character. We saw many types of songbirds, wild turkeys and even a mother bear with four cubs!!!

Great Destination!

The Farmhouse was beautiful and we got a lot of use out of the massive and comfortable front porch, watching some summer rain storms. We had a lovely stay!

Love the uniqueness and charm of this old house. Ben was super quick responding and accommodating. Can’t beat the location. Be sure to check out Lookout Observatory (right up the road) for some short beautiful hikes. And the farmer’s market (right down the hill).

Excellent stay! Host was great. House great. 5 adult males comfortably fit with one sleeping on couch. We didn't have firewood and owner responded right away and had it delivered. Beautiful modern kitchen and bathrooms. Beautiful old hardwood floors

Property did look like the pictures and outwardly did look clean and tidy. Upstairs neighbor was nice, but he smoked pot. The smell from the pot was very heavy when we would come back from being out. We do not smoke so it affected the trip in a negative way. Otherwise it was a good place to stay.

Christmas with family

We loved our Christmas here with our adult children and their partners. We were able to spread out and enjoy different activities like cookie decorating and board games. Already considering booking next year

40th Birthday Trip

My friends and I came to town as we all turn 40 in the near future. We had an excellent time exploring Asheville and it was super easy to get everywhere we wanted to from the house. The house itself was great as we had enough room to spread out and space to gather together when we wanted to hang out and enjoy the company. Would book again!

Great house and location

We had a girls weekend in Asheville and picked this house for the size and location. The location was perfect for everything we did. The house had 4 nice sized bedrooms. The house was very clean. We had a snafu with our arrival instructions but the owner jumped right on it once he realized there was an issue. We will definitely book this home again.

Family gathering

Loved the space; loved getting some idea of the history of Moog. We walked to the popular Farmer’s Market and there’s good food and custard ice cream within walking distance on Merriman. Biggest forest of paw paw trees in the back! Amazing to see.

As far as location, sorry you had trouble finding the farmhouse, this is the first time we’ve had a guest not be able to find it, we would have been happy to give clearer directions via phone as it’s only 1.5 miles from downtown. Amazing place to stay

We had a wonderful time staying in the Moog farmhouse. Easy access to all our activities. The beds were super comfortable and we had everything we need. Ben was amazing and very responsive to our inquiries. Our only surprise was there’s a tenant upstairs and downstairs. I probably just missed that on the listing.

We had an excellent stay at the Historic Moog House. The home is beautiful, full of character, and provided plenty of space for our group of ten. One of our favorite features was the large backyard with its lovely gardens, as well as the spacious front porch where we spent many relaxing hours throughout the week after exploring Asheville.A unique highlight was the two-story greenhouse connected to the house off the back porch. During a rainy afternoon, I sat there listening to the rain and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. It quickly became one of my favorite spots on the property.The house was comfortable, welcoming, and well-suited for a larger group. Our only minor concern was the parking. We had three vehicles, and fitting them all into the available spaces was a bit tight. However, this was a small issue compared to everything else the property had to offer.Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return. The Historic Moog House was a wonderful home base for our Asheville vacation.

Perfect Bike Adventure

The farmhouse was a perfect retreat for Yankees visiting to ride bikes up Mount Mitchell. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and the AC units were fabulous. The wildlife visiting the property was such fun to watch! The turkeys were hilarious hanging out in the trees, and a bear strolled by on the road one morning! The host was an excellent communicator through the process and we all enjoyed our stay very much. Heads up for folks visiting from flat areas--the steep curvy driveway to the farmhouse was daunting the first time down, but you learn pretty quickly how to navigate the terrain.

Lovely stay

Check-in was easy. The property is in a woodsy area and slightly difficult to locate but it is worth the trouble because it feels secluded and the views are gorgeous with equally lovely walking and running trails nearby. The bedrooms were comfortable and we all slept well. The kitchen was well-stocked with appliances and eating utensils and it was immaculate. It was over 90• while we were there but the front porch was shaded and comfortable and the a/c did an excellent job cooling the house. Not within walking distance of downtown but the drive is an easy 10 minutes. My group of active women aged 40-75 had a great time and would happily stay at the Moog House again.

Farmhouse

The house was in need of some work..I swept the porch and cleaned off the outside furniture and the top of the porch rail that had marine from other peoples cups etc...I really did not like opening the bathroom cabinets and finding I guess whatever other guests had left in the cabinets. The drain did work in the bathroom sink..we tried to tape up the front of the kitchen sink but that whole cabinet needs some work,,I did not want to put this online but I guess I expected much more for the money. That being said our party was great and the location was very good for us.

Excellent stay in Asheville

The Moog house is excellently updated and furnished. Beds are comfortable, and host Ben is friendly. Location was fantastic for trips into downtown. I would absolutely go back!
