Stunning 300 degree views overlooking English & Falmouth Harbour, Antigua!

My husband and I have been holidaying in Antigua since 2000. We fell head over heels with Antigua immediately, with its slow pace, beautiful weather and fun loving people. We even got married in English Harbour in 2003! Having stayed in various different areas, my husband and I knew Southern Cross was the property for us the moment we sat on the veranda and saw the spectacular view of Falmouth Harbour and the Caribbean Sea.
We have poured our hearts into our fabulous second home, my dear old mum and our grown up children love to visit too and we even have a couple of grandchildren running around.
Redesigned and extended in 2015, to a luxurious standard, to make it the perfect home with modern amenities and personal items we have scoured Antigua and other countries to find to add our own homage to this beautiful island.
Exploring the island with new visitors has been a joy of discovery. For such a small island it really packs a punch, such stunning beaches, good restaurants and fabulous water sports.

Antigua is a very social place, but once in the property with the gate closed, your own private oasis awaits. Soak up the glorious Caribbean sunshine, dipping your toes in the pool and looking out over the sea. If that becomes too hot, relax under the outside veranda or in the spacious open plan living area with floor to ceiling shutters so you can choose how much breeze, sun and view you wish to have. This property is uniquely placed to provide sensational views of both the sunrise and sunset, it's hillside location ensures an uninterrupted view that you won't forget. Antigua is known for having 365 beaches, one for each day of the year. This property is the perfect place to use as a base to explore as many of them as your heart desires.
Whether you love water sports, cooking, reading, walking or simply sunbathing, this property is the perfect place to meet all your needs. The kitchen has been designed for keen chefs and also has an outside B.B.Q area. Envisage yourself cooking breakfast watching sailboats bob past.
The house is versatile, great for a group or for a couple. It's spacious, well appointed and the patio surrounds the gorgeous infinity pool which has an original cannon on either side. There are mosquito nets in every bedroom but quite honestly, we have never used them as the gentle breeze and hillside location mean there are very few mosquitos. You will, however, see many hummingbirds dipping in and out of the water in the 4ft wide copper bowl full of lilies bursting with colour.

The property has 2 cats that have taken up residence since being abandoned by their mother in the garden. They are quite vocal but shy and once you have been assessed by them, they will keep you company for hours. However, they are not allowed to stay in the property overnight.
Southern Cross is ideally located to enjoy the local night life, close to many restaurants and live music to be found in Falmouth. If a quieter evening is preferred, just sit by the pool and watch the sun go down over Fort St. George, enjoying the orange glow of the sunset as the night stars emerge.
The beaches are safe for swimming and the beautiful fine sand and turquoise water make it a unique and ideal holiday destination.
