A real delight. Very cozy but roomy. Artist flair and nature views abound. Lots of neat sitting areas. Very well cared for and appointed. One could easily live there. Love to come again someday.

Thank you! We so appreciate your observations. Our goal is for our guests to be comfortable in a place where relaxation and appreciation of surroundings can happen. We lived there for 10 years and then our mother lived there for 10 years and then our apprentices lived there for 10 years and when we retired, we thought we would invite travelers to share in our collective experiences. The hosts were the kindest and sweetest people. The property was well kept and it had everything we needed! It’s in a nice area and easy to access. The hosts were very responsive and I would book with them again!

Our stay was phenomenal! Perfect for unplugging from reality and just enjoying peace and quiet. It was very calming and expertly detailed with instructions on all things relevant to the property. Any questions we had were solved with quick responses through messaging and solutions to follow!

Our hosts were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay special. They reached out the night before our arrival to ask if we needed any groceries, and Karen even picked up coffee and creamer for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. They are truly kind and accommodating people. We use Vrbo for all our vacation planning, and this was hands down our favorite experience yet. If we return to North Carolina, we will definitely be booking with them again. Also, for anyone traveling with an electric vehicle, they have a charger attached to the house, which made our trip so much easier and stress-free. Highly recommended!

Loved this little cottage in the heart of the smokies next to the beautiful Lake Fontana. Everything was wonderful and cozy with everything you needed to relax and enjoy nature and rest and relax after day tripping around the mountains. Karen and Bruce great hosts.

This was my first time ever using Vrbo, and let me tell you it was so easy. Karen and Bruce communicated everything very well to include directions ahead of time since Google Maps takes you an incorrect way. The house was perfect and charming, the area around the house is beautiful, and it’s a perfect location to get to many places around the area. The bed was super comfortable and the house was fully stocked. I will definitely check for this house first if I’m ever in the area again.

The farmhouse was absolutely charming with handmade pottery and braided rugs throughout! I enjoyed listening to the babbling brook on the deck every morning while drinking my coffee and cozy bonfires at night. If we are ever back in that area we will definitely want to stay at Yellow Branch Farm House!!

Spring break getaway

My granddaughter and I went to the area for spring break. We enjoyed discovering the nearby sights and going on hikes. Very relaxing!

Perfect fall getaway

Our stay at the farmhouse was wonderful. The house is very comfortable and the hosts have thoughtfully taken care of every detail. There location is ideal as it is quietly secluded yet within short driving distance of hiking trails and other local attractions. We will absolutely be returning!

Drive Tail of the Dragon + Mom relaxation time

We had a great time and Bruce and Karen are phenomenal! The house is in a spectacular location and has been maintained beautifully. The kitchen is well stocked and the house is just perfect.

Great get away

The farm house was very rustic and had a unique charm to it. It was quiet and secluded. My friends and I had a nice peaceful weekend fishing on Lake Fontana and the surrounding area.

A true hidden gem ! Place is beautiful if you love peace , harmony , serenity and nature.It’s absolutely gorgeous.Surrounded by nature all the time !Definitely a place you want to come and cook and spend wholesome time with family ! Karen and Bruce are ever so kind and helpful and the cabin is cosy and comfortable. They’ve thought of everything, and the setting is divine. The location, in the trees, was really special and we just loved sitting on the porch listening to the birds and the stream. There are amazing walks nearby and a fabulous artist community all around. The house has games and dvds and binoculars, the kitchen is really well equipped and the beds are super comfy. Yellow Branch Farm is a home away from home we’ll never forget and hope to come back to.

Peaceful and warm!

My fiancé and I came up for a car meet on the tail of the dragon, we had an amazing and peaceful stay. All the amenities were set up and ready for us, they provided hospitality above and beyond. Very generous and communicative hosts. It was cold outside but nice and cozy inside the house! No complaints, would 100% stay again!

Lovely and so relaxing!

I, along with my daughter and grandson stayed at Yellow Branch Farm for two nights in June. The house was beautiful and more than we expected. Karen was so kind and helpful, giving us ideas of what to do in the area.

Thank you Karen and Bruce for letting us stay at the farmhouse! It was perfect. Clean, well equipped with lots of charm. We enjoyed grilling and playing scrabble. One of the best stays we’ve in a while.

Peaceful and Relaxing Farm

We stayed for 5 days with my two boys and enjoyed it a lot. The two dogs Pearl and Cleo were really friendly and my kids enjoyed to play with them. We had a chance to taste fresh milk and my kids enjoyed making pottery. Karen and Bruce were really nice hosts. We recommend this place for people who like peace and wilderness.

Thank you! The farmhouse is down a country road, quiet and restful, surrounded by woods and pastures, close to Lake Fontana. Wilderness would be the Smoky Mountain National Park which is very close by. We hope you will return.

Recreation and relaxation!

This cabin is a gem! It was well stocked with loads of character, fantastic deck and front porch to enjoy nature. The surrounding property is beautiful and so peaceful. Super easy access to Fontana Lake and a short drive to Tsali recreation area for mountain biking and hiking. The cheese (Yum) and pottery were the icing on the cake! Thanks for a great stay, we will be back!

Perfect farmhouse in the mountains

We thoroughly enjoyed the farmhouse. It is rustic, lovely, and full of charm and special touches. The location offers the perfect amount of peaceful tranquility and is still close to the outdoor activities we did at the NOC. The kids loved the cows and loft, and the cheese was delicious!
