Welcome to Apollonie Cabin at Wauhatchie Woodlands, a Timberroot Rustic Retreat.

Trains & Noise:

Chattanooga is a city known for its railroads. There are active train tracks that border the property to the north and I-24 is about half a mile away. Please note that light sleepers may be affected by the ambient city and train noise. Each cabin has been equipped with a white noise machine to help minimize any disturbance.

Pet Policy:

Pets are NOT allowed at this property.

If you want to travel with a pet please ask about our pet-friendly properties. Any evidence of a pet during your stay will result in a $100 fine, due to non-compliance to our stated policies.

No Smoking:

Smoking, vaping, and the use of e-cigarettes is prohibited inside Timberroot properties.

Not only does smoking leave behind unwelcome odor and residue, but it can be extremely dangerous in a 100% wooden home. You may smoke/vape outside on the deck. However, please ensure that windows and doors are closed so that the smoke/vapor does not enter the building.

Cigarette butts should be fully extinguished and disposed of properly in exterior trash receptacles. Any evidence of smoking/vaping or smoke/vapor damage or odor inside the property or cigarette damage/debris on the exterior of the property during your stay will result in a $150 fine, due to non-compliance with our stated policies.

Pests:

We take great care to ensure our properties are free from pests. Our properties are regularly treated by professional pest control and our staff takes preventative measures to keep pests out.

However, as our properties are located in wooded areas, it is possible for guests to encounter insects and/or small woodland creatures like mice. If you do encounter an unwelcome pest inside your lodging, please contact our Guest Services team immediately so that our grounds team can address the problem as quickly as possible. We ask that guests help us prevent pests by keeping doors and window screens closed and maintaining proper cleanliness during their stay.

By booking with us, you accept that encountering insects and woodland creatures is a possibility and that no refunds will be issued for such instances.
All of our cabins are equipped with keyless entry systems that make check-in and check-out a fully automated process. Full instructions will be provided prior to your check-in date.

If you have any questions, comments, or experience any difficulties during your stay, our team of dedicated, locally based Guest Services representatives are on-call and available to help from 8 am to 11 pm every day.

Spring Break Getaway
We had a great time here. Very clean unit. Central to everything that we wanted to do. Feels like you are secluded, but just minutes away from downtown. Only downside was there is a train that runs all through the night and is occasionally pretty loud. It wasn't too bothersome though. We would stay again.

This was the second year that we stayed at the cabin. This is a great half way stop, as we travel from Michigan to Florida. We love the tiny cabin and the hot tub!

Wonderful Place to Stay
The photos of this property do not do it justice! It is way more beautiful then anticipated. The cabin was much larger, was adorable and had everything we needed! Very quaint and cozy! We will recommend this to everyone! Check in and out was very easy. Thank you for providing us with a great place to stay! ~ J & J

Informazioni sull’host

Host: Timberroot Rustic Retreats

Immagine del profilo dell’host
I have loved world travels my entire life; though as father of 8 kids, our movements have been more limited of late. I am an entrepreneur and business owner, lover of history, plants, nature, my faith, philosophy, and my family. We love Chattanooga for too many reasons to list, but also cherish variety and the beauty so many places in the world have to offer.

As hosts, you will find us responsive and accommodating and eager to share the treasures of our town and learn the treasures of your own. We know the trails, many waterfalls, parks, restaurants, and attractions of Chattanooga quite well and are willing to be a resource for our guests, offering an intimate knowledge of the area.

As a traveler, on business I tend to work, read and rest if I can, and prefer to travel with associates or family when I can. As a vacationer, I am eager to share and celebrate the diversity of creation and humanity with my family and to give them an explorers heart, a warmth for difference, and a bit of zeal for travel too. I prefer National Parks to cities, but cities carry their own attraction. I prefer mountains to beaches, forests to fields, and local to corporate or suburban.

Perché ha scelto questa struttura

This was an old trailer park. We saw great potential for it, as a gem of a natural setting so incredibly close to the city. We offer a natural escape right on Lookout by the beautiful city of Chattanooga with unique and modern rustic comfort for the perfect mountain side stay.

Starting in the back, Apollonie (named after our French Host Daughter), boasts a back deck with Adirondack chairs and your own private hot tub. The Master hosts a queen bed, four closets for hanging clothes, lots of drawer storage and TV. Just out of the master is the washer dryer combo unit on the right and the full bath on the left. A step further we enter the kitchen, full stocked for cooking/dining with an electric range, microwave, stove, full-size fridge, cabinets and a bar. The living room and kitchen are open space with the main TV across from the pull-out sofa. This listing can sleep 5 people, but the sofa does not have bedding included unless requested. The loft has two twin beds. Clearance in the loft is low, at just 4' - it is a sleep loft, not a stand up and walk around space.
