Secluded Lake Front Property with private hot tub!

This review of false information is provided by Lisa's daughter, Samantha, who admits in all her messages, that she is the one that falsely identified herself as Lisa throughout our conversations during their stay. After we were notified of there being a potential bed bug in the home we had our pest control company come out immediately. This guest stated that they would not be staying for the remainder of their trip due to them finding a bed bug. We communicated to them that this has never happened and that we take the cleanliness of our home very seriously. The pest control company stated that he found no traces of any bed bugs throughout our home what so ever. He even gave us a written statement that our house is not infested as this guest has stated. After the treatment was completed the pest control company explained that the home was not to be entered into within 4 hours as this is the law. Also it was told to the guest that the treatment doesn’t have a guarantee that everything will be killed on this treatment. The guest acknowledged this and agreed to stay outside the home until it was safe to enter. Later that day the guests said they would stay again since they didn’t get any bites from the first night. They even invited additional guest to the home that were not on their reservation knowing they could potentially be exposing the home and other people to the situation. As far as the security cameras, we only have exterior cameras to protect our guests and our home when the security system is armed. When it is disarmed, the exterior cameras go into privacy mode. The only camera that doesn’t is the doorbell camera, which the guests granddaughter kept pressing to notify us that someone was ringing the doorbell. From this video footage there were no signs of bite marks on her as stated above. There is also no camera pointing at the hot tub in our home. Our camera’s point toward our deck areas and our driveway. The guest would also not send us any bite marks on the guest as she stated above until after she got home. After we refunded her money for the night she didn’t stay, she then requested a full refund which we declined for several reasons. 1. Being this is a smoke free home and there was smoke smell and cigarette ash in our kitchen, bathroom sinks as well as on night stands and trash cans. 2. She voluntarily stayed after she suspected there were bed bugs (which none were found). Then she invited additional guests to the home after the accusations. 3. The guest could not provide any photos of the bite marks until after she left the property though she stated they were bit up at the property. 4. They were educated on the risk of potentially staying prior to staying additional nights. They still volunteered to stay. 5. After being caught up in their web of lies, we felt there was not a warranted reason for a full refund as this is a common scam that people have been trying to pull in the VRBO and other major rental vacation communities. We have lots of reviews on other major vacation rental sites as we have been renting out our home for 2.5 years. We have not had any issues with bed bugs in that time. We have over 100+ reviews that can justify the cleanliness and pride that we take in our home. So these allegations we do not take lightly.
