Very pleasant house, relaxing setting, breathtaking view of the Mont Ventoux

Rented house, in the heart of a small village in Ardèche, quiet environment, ideal for a relaxing holiday.

You will discover the 130 m2 dwelling, with a sunny 85m2 terrace on which there is an outdoor and private swimming pool (4.90m by 3.40m and 1m20 high), from which you can enjoy the view of the garrigues and the Mont Ventoux. Garden furniture for 10 people (6 armchairs + 4 chairs), 2 individual sunbeds and 1 double sunbathing area will be at your disposal, with its barbecue and plancha.

A house with a modern decoration and entirely air-conditioned, with a fitted kitchen and its central kitchen island (6 high chairs + 2 high stools) open on the living room. It is equipped with an American fridge (freezer, fresh water, ice cubes), oven, dishwasher, hob, extractor fan, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster.

The dining room table for 6 persons is also open to the living room with access and view on the terrace and the outside. A reading and relaxation area (where guides to the region will be available) with 2 armchairs is available.

The living room with its meridian sofa, its large flat screen television (1,64m) and its coffee table will be able to receive you.

The house has 2 bedrooms with double beds and dressing rooms. It also has a master suite with a 160cm bed and an island bath. A direct access to the terrace is available from the suite. Linen, sheets and blankets are provided.

A double sink bathroom with a walk-in shower. Towels and flannels will be provided.

Separate toilet.

The garage, with washing machine, bicycles available (+ bicycle seat) (free service on request), a cot and high chair for children (free service on request).

The house is for rental use only. New bedding and appliances.

Many activities and tourist sites await you during your stay:
- Gorges de l'Ardèche and its national nature reserve (9 min away)
- Vallon Pont d'Arc (canoeing, accrobranche etc.) (22min away)
- Visit the natural caves of Chauvet (23min away) and the Aven d'Orgnac (33min away)
- Cévennes
- Sea (1h25 from the Camargue)
- Several hiking trails, fishing, mountain biking etc.
- Pont du Gard (1h away)
- Avignon (1h away), its Palais des Papes and its many museums
- Nîmes (1h15 away), its Arena and its historical centre

Great place to relax and enjoy the region

Malika is a very kind and good host and the house is really a very good place for a family to stay. A nice terrace with a great view, a pool, a whirlpool, enough rooms for a family of 5.The region offers great adventures and lot of opportunities for nature photography.

We enjoied the stay the modern residence. There We found everything we needed. Its in a very nice Location with many Activies around. Communication in english was Not easy but very pleasent with perfect service :)

Great stay

We had a lovely week at the house in Bidon. Easy communication with the owners (in French or English), friendly reception with goodies, well equipped house, spotless clean upon arrival, great pool, spacious with 3 bedrooms. Nice location with proximity to all Ardeche highlights. House is exactly as advertised, maybe even better. Airco was a plus during the heatwave. With jacuzzi and heating it must also be a good house in winter/fall with ample of outdoors nearby (but for us too hot to walk this summer). Cannot think of any down side of the house and would definitively book again.

Great place, great view, great stay!

Really very nice place to stay, if you want to be remote from city life and dive into nature and the Ardéche region. The host (Malika) gave us a very warm welcome, together with her daughter who had a good command of English and that made it very easy for us to understand everything and ask questions. They also very quickly responded to some addtl. requests we had. The one and only little disadvantage was that the house only had one toilet, which can get busy with 5 people in the morning, and that the toilet seat was not properly fixed and actually not fitting the toilet. Everything else was really very nice and pleasant surprise. We loved the ever changing view on the Mont Ventoux in the far distance, and the fact that you had a complete unobstructed view with only green green green nature from the terrace. We as a family very much enjoyed it. One caveat: there is only one restaurant (and no supermarket, no bakery) in the little village, so you have plan ahead.

Terrible non-stay!

We arrived at the property on time on the appointed day only to find that instead of the 2 bathrooms indicated on the listing there was only one bathroom! One toilet, not the two that were referenced on the listing. The Host, Malika was not present as she lives 30 minutes from this house and does not speak English. Her studnet daughter Celia spoke some English but could not explain why the listing says two bathrooms yet there was only one. Her explanation was that there was a bath tub in the master bedroom (indeed there was, about two feet away from the bed in fact) but no additional room or toilet, just a door leading into the garage! The only toilet was located about a 60 foot walk away through the kitchen and the living/dining room -- which, for two people in their late 70's was quite a hike in the middle of the night in a very dark setting. Speaking of which the nearest grocery store was a 25-30 minute drive away and there was only one restaurant in this small village and it was already closed for the season (on September 16) and the nearest place to eat was also 25-30 minutes away. We could not figure out the heat and the house was cold (about 60-62 degrees F) and we had to call the daughter again to ask her to return to the house to turn on the heat. We stayed for about an hour, did not unpack, called VRBO and asked what we should do and eventually left. We drove nearly two hours out of our way to this location, it was a very unpleasant experience!

Hello, First, there are two bathrooms: one independent and one in the master suite. In French, a bathroom doesn’t necessarily include a toilet, which is why we specified they are separate. As for the communication, even though Malika wasn’t present, her daughter spoke to you in English. She understood you, and you understood her. We apologize if our non-native English wasn’t perfect. You mentioned “60 steps” between the kitchen and toilet? We didn’t realize we owned a castle. It’s actually 5-10 steps between the kitchen/living room and the toilet, and only 2 steps from two of the bedrooms. As we explained, the nearest store is 10 minutes away, with a bakery, butcher shops, and a tobacco shop. The mall is 30 minutes away. You are in the countryside, not the city. Célia returned a second time to explain the spa, not the heating. The heating works fine; it just took 5 minutes to warm up after being unused for 6 months. If you had waited, you could have avoided these false claims. Finally, you’ve been the most unpleasant and rude guests we’ve ever had. Célia even helped with your bags, though she wasn’t obligated to. Age and experience don’t justify aggression. We hope no one has to host guests like you.

Das Haus, Ausstattung, Pool waren super. Die Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin hat sehr gut geklappt.Die Wegbeschreibung zum Haus stimmt allerdings überhaupt nicht, der Link bei google maps ist falsch. Hier kommt man auf zwei Schotterwege als Sackgasse in einer anderen Gegend. Wir haben 30 Minuten gesucht und erst nach einem Anruf bekamen wir die richtige Beschreibung und Adresse.

Super accueil

Malika est une personne tres gentille et bienveillante pour ses hôtes. La maison est tres belle ,d'une propreté irreprochable et tres bien équipée. Tres bel emplacement a Bidon ,environnement paisible et magnifique. Ne pas hesiter , allez y les yeux fermés.

Magnifique maison pour des vacances en famille ou entre amis

L Ardeche est riche en paysages différents. Superbe route entre Bidon et St Martin D Ardèche avec des vues sur les gorges incroyables. ST Remèze est aussi à découvrir. Nous avons passés de superbes vacances

Kort verblijf

Het verblijf was super, ruim verblijf, ruime kamers, overal goeie airco, alles aanwezig en proper. Prachtig uitzicht, proper zwembad Jacuzzi was opblaasbare maar zelfs daar waren we blij mee. Dit verblijf was jammer genoeg een door reis verblijf voor ons maar had gerust langer mogen duren

Super vakantie gehad!

De ontvangst was heel hartelijk en vriendelijk. De communicatie vooraf en tijdens ook. Het huis is tip top in orde, alles is er. Vidon is een heel rustige gemeente maar op 10’ rijden heb he alles. Mooie streek om te bezoeken en vokdoende tips en info gekregen van Malika! Top! We bevelen dit ten zeerste aan!!

Parfait

Maison très agréable, lumineuse et spacieuse. Très bien équipée (terrasse, piscine, jacuzzi, barbecue, trampoline, babyfoot et jardin) et belle décoration. La literie est bonne. Ma propietaire est pleine de petites attentions. Je recommande !

Mooie vakantie

Onze vakantie in het huis is heel goed meegevallen. Het is gelegen in een rustige buurt en de bezienswaardigheden/natuur bevinden zich in de nabije mooie omgeving van de ardeche. Een aanrader. En als we een vraag of probleem hadden stond Malika direct paraat ! Chapeau !
