Fantastic holiday!

Beautiful house and a nice heated pool. Everything is available in the house and may be used. It is quietly located. We liked that. All the space in the garden. The reception is fine on arrival and English is spoken. Very friendly people also the owner of the house. The area is beautiful and there is plenty to do. The beach is 10 minutes away by car. The only point of improvement we have are the beds. These are 1.40 cm. We are not used to that in the Netherlands. We had a nice holiday with great memories. It is highly recommended.

We had a lovely time staying at Sallenelles.The house is a lovely home with modern facilities. we were very comfortable and relaxed. We found the passive performance of the house very good and inspiring and easy to manage. The pool is amazing and everything in the home worked well. We visited all the major ww2 sights / beaches and also spent time in Merville Franceville which was a short drive away. A handy supermarket is also there and good restaurants right near the beach. our longest drive was to Utah Beach, about 1 hr 15 mins away. This didn't feel like a chore or a long time as the roads are so good to drive on. For any family who has a avid bmx fan, the pumptrack is perfect. Our daughter was lucky enough to experience a ride on the beach courtesy of the local stables - les crin de la baie. Helen and her husband were very welcoming to her. Overall this house met all our needs and made a good base for exploring the coast and a little further inland. Being near the ferry port was also very handy. Great communication with the owners before, during and at departure.Highly recommend.

Perfect relaxing holiday

We spent a superb week in this fantastic house. The pictures on Vrbo do not do it justice. The pool is a good size and sits in a well maintained and spacious garden. The pool was both spotless and always warm and the owner’s brother came in and cleaned the pool a number of times during our stay. The bedrooms are all light and comfortable and there is so much living space in the open plan downstairs area and a large conservatory between the house and pool. I’ve never stayed in such a well equipped rental and everything was high spec and of the highest quality. It’s a very quiet neighbourhood and was perfect for our lazy relaxing holiday. The local boulangerie is an 8 minute walk away and has a great selection of breads and cakes and she was super friendly whenever we went in (which was everyday). There are plenty of good walks to be had and lots of cycle paths if you want to go to the nearest town. Perfectly placed for visiting Caen and all the D-Day beaches too and we drove through some picturesque towns and villages that we didn’t have time to explore. The owner and his brother couldn’t have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful and their English put my rusty French to shame.

Très joli maison bien entretenue. Sejour très agréable, et super piscine bien chauffée. Nous avons été accueillis avec des boissons fraîches ce qui a été très apprécié.Quelques ventillateurs aurait rendu notre séjour encore plus profitable car il fait très chaud dans les chambres.

Parfait

Maison vraiment très agréable à vivre avec aussi une très belle piscine. Le propriétaire est très sympathique et a répondu à toutes nos attentes.

Très belle maison

La maison est spacieuse, très agréable et parfaitement équipée, il ne manque rien. Elle est située dans un petit lotissement très calme sans vis à vis. La piscine chauffée permet de se baigner même si la météo n est pas complètement favorable. Très bon accueil du propriétaire. En bref, nous avons passé un très bon séjour.

Belle maison moderne - pool agréable

Maison moderne avec tout comfort. Pool très agreable même si pour nager des longueurs cela est plus court que dix mètres a causes des escaliers. Ce qui était très beau - il y avait beaucoup d‘oiseaux dans les buissons la soirée.

Beautiful house in a great location

Lovely house with all mod cons. House is in a very quiet neighbourhood which is close to a gorgeous seaside town called Merville-Franceville-Plage, which has lovely restaurants and a great sandy beach with lifeguards. The house is ideally located for exploring D-day memorials. The Pegasus bridge is two minutes away and the D Day beaches are all within an hours drive, as is Caen Memorial Musuem. The pool is kept at 29 degrees and there are noodles and inflatables for babies. The kitchen has everything you might need including a coffee machine and a kettle (a rarity in France) for morning cups of tea! The family is very welcoming and Jean Marc's niece spoke incredible English.

De belles vacances dans une belle maison

La maison est idéalement située dans un quartier calme et est très agréable. Avec la grande cuisine et son grand salon, la maison offre de beaux espaces de vie. Très confortable et très bien équipée. Les chambres sont grandes ainsi que les salles de bain. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour. Les alentours sont magnifiques et offrent de belles balades. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants, chaleureux et très gentils. C'est avec grand plaisir que nous reviendrons séjourner dans cette belle maison !

Séjour très agréable

La maison est très lumineuse et très agréable à vivre. Le propriétaire très sympathique. Il y avait tout ce dont nous avions besoin, notamment dans le coin cuisine. Le seul petit bémol : le fait que la maison soit dans un lotissement. Malgré tout, pas de vis à vis (joli jardin) et calme assuré.
