Welcome to Mountain Retreat! You will love this newly renovated home with a large great room and a fully stocked kitchen with brand new appliances. Additionally, each of the 3 bedrooms all have their own full bathroom. This home is located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by cool pines and is close to Shopping, Hiking trails, nearby Lakes all within a few miles and a park only walking distance from the home that has a Frisbee golf course, Hiking Trails, Softball Fields and Tennis courts all within walking distance.

Place left so much to be desired. Extensive cobwebs on all the exterior windows, deck looked neglected and there was a large hole where one could step in and break their ankle. Master bath had standing water in the tub when we arrived, grime and dirt all over the baseboards shower curtain was gross and stained . Second bathroom tub was so stained one would not even wash their dog in it. Furniture felt unclean, lots of dust bunnies and hairs on furniture. TV in living area was so tiny it was difficult to see the screen and the sectional looked frayed and was highly uncomfortable. We were glad we brought our own blankets to sit on the furniture. Host was very uncommunicative. Wife developed an unexpected reaction to a major surgical procedure she recently had done and needed to return home and see the surgeon. We tried to communicate several times with Host and no response. We were hoping to get some type of adjustment as we booked 6 nights. Regardless of medical incident we could not stay in a place we felt was unclean and neglected, plus unsafe. We also felt the property pictures were not displayed properly. Very disappointed with property, Host and VRBO.

We did not receive the messages you mentioned, and we’re sorry for any frustration that caused.
Since receiving your review, we have completed a full inspection of the property, addressed the items noted, and confirmed the home is in proper condition for future guests. We also reviewed our communication systems to ensure messages are coming through reliably.
We genuinely wish your stay had gone differently and hope your wife is recovering well.

Our family had a great stay at Mountain Retreat! It's so close to the Show Low city park and pool and Safeway. It was a great homebase for our hiking adventures also. Would highly recommend! recommend

Perfect for family of 7!
My wife and I stayed here with our 5 kids to attend a memorial service for a family member. The house was beautiful and larger than it appeared in pictures. Walking distance to a great park. Definitely recommend staying here.

Location was good.
Spent a week at the property and we enjoyed our stay. It had plenty of room for a multigenerational family vacation. The yard was perfect for the kids to play and the park down the street was amazing. The windows do let cold air in so keeping the house warm got challenging at night but there was also space heaters provided. I would stay here again if the need came up.

Great getaway in Show low
We were in town for a youth baseball tournament and made a long weekend of it. The mountain retreat was the perfect place to stay!! It was steps away from the park, and close to everything (dining, stores, etc). Great closely wishing at Fools Hollow and just a short drive from Rainbow lake, our favorite Fishing spot. The house was perfect for our small family, we could’ve had a couple more and been just as comfortable. It is updated nicely and very comfortable. We will definitely try to stay here again! Brian was great to work with!
