We absolutely loved our stay at the Lakeview Farmhouse! The home is charming, beautifully decorated, and had more than enough room for us to spread out and relax. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked, which made our stay even more comfortable. Lyndsay was so friendly and welcoming and encouraged us to explore the farm, which we really enjoyed. And the morning sunrises were absolutely spectacular! Such a special place! we would happily stay again.

My two boys, ages 6 and 13, my parents and I had a wonderful MEA break on Lyndsey's family farm. The interior of the house was spacious, warm and welcoming. We loved the decor, the comfortable beds and the piano! What we especially enjoyed was being part of the working farm right out the backdoor. We played with several barn kittens, petted and milked the cows and got to know a lot about the process of running a raw milk dairy farm. Lyndsey's dad even took my six year old on a long tractor ride taking hay to and from the barn out to the cow pasture. The view from the property is spectacular, and we also enjoyed hiking from the property. My only suggestion would be to provide a tv in the living room where guests could stream their own movies/shows. Overall, it was a great stay, and we are hoping to come back soon!

This place is a hidden gem. We stayed here this past weekend and it was the perfect fit for our family with kids. Getting to experience life on a working farm made the trip: the kids petted kittens and calves, saw the milk cows, and watched the chickens roam. It gave the whole visit a special, memorable feel that a typical rental just can't match.Big kudos to Lindsay, our host, who was fantastic from start to finish. She has done amazing work renovating the farmhouse, and it shows: the space is comfortable and full of character.This stay made us fall in love with Grand Marais. We will absolutely be back.

Excellent host, beautiful home, and peaceful location on the farm. I didn’t even realize when I booked, but there is no tv, which I found to be perfect for my family to disconnect and enjoy time with each other!

We had a wonderful time on the farm! We had 7 adults, 3 kids under age 4, and 1 dog - and it was the perfect space. Lyndsay is an amazing host. The house has everything you need and the land is beautiful.

The farmhouse could not be any more beautiful or comfortable. Lyndsay and her family literally thought of anything and everything you could need to enjoy your stay away from home. The location is lovely with an awe-inspiring view of Lake Superior and just a short drive down to the cutest lake town perfect for strolling. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and would love to come back again to experience the farm in all the different seasons!

We had a great experience. I was uncertain about the fire and smoke situation but we went ahead and we’re happy we did. The house was lovely and very roomy. The setting was beautiful although the smoke kept any lake views at bay. The cows mooing nearby was fun. Lindsay and her family were friendly and helpful.

We had an absolutely wonderful time. I would recommend this location anyone. Lyndsay was an absolutely wonderful host. The house was clean, tidy, and excellently decorated; it had a charming farm feel. Every detail was carefully considered. We got up early every morning and watched the sunrise over Lake Superior. The location felt remote, but it was a short drive to get into Grand Marais. We will go back the next chance we get!

The host was gracious and shared all the important information regarding check in / out. The home was fully equipped with everything necessary for comfort and functionality. The home worked perfectly for our family of 9 (ages 3 to 71)!

Perfect family vacation

We had such a good time at this rental. The farmhouse is beautiful and had all of the amenities we needed. The family loved visiting the animals and easy access to farm-fresh eggs and dairy too. Just a short drive into downtown Grand Marais, which was easy.

We loved our stay at the Farmhouse! Lyndsay was an absolutely amazing host and the house had plenty of room for our family of 5 and my in-laws. Everyone loved waking up and coming home to the cows, especially our kids. The house was clean and kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. Location was great being just a short drive from downtown Grand Marais. A truly unique experience in the North Shore and we hope to be back again next time!

Great Rental

The house was great! The owners were great and very attentive. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed (and then some). The beds were very comfortable. The house was beautifully decorated and perfect for our Girls Weekend!

This stay was amazing!!! We had all the bridesmaids getting ready and take photos for the wedding party here. Lyndsey was super attentive and so sweet. It was lovely to have the livestock around as we were shooting photos. Definitely recommend.
