Svegliatevi con un'alba mozzafiato sulle splendide acque cristalline del porto Elizabeth! Quando si è pronti a colpire la spiaggia, si può letteralmente saltare dalla porta di casa nella soffice sabbia bianca dei Caraibi! Non solo è l'acqua calma e chiara, ma la vista comprende bella Stocking Island. Dato che questa villa fa parte di Palm Bay Beach Club, si ha anche la possibilità di nuotare in una piscina, anche con vista sul mare, a pochi passi dalla villa. indoor / outdoor ristorante / bar del beach club, Splash, è a pochi passi modo pure.

La spiaggia è tranquilla e appartata; tuttavia, se si preferisce un posto- ancora più privato continuate a camminare verso nord, e in circa 3-5 minuti vi ha colpito 2 altre spiagge, entrambe bellissime e sereno (vedi foto).

La villa è completamente arredata in stile tropicale, con una cucina completa di servizio, una zona pranzo, soggiorno, 1 camera grande, e 2 bagni. C'è anche un tavolo e sedie sulla veranda coperta, che è perfetto per ogni pasto all'aperto (raccogliere qualche take-out da Splash se non avete voglia di cucinare!). Diversi ristoranti, tra cui la frittura di pesce locale (un luogo ideale per provare l'autentica insalata conchiglia!), Sono raggiungibili a piedi.

Il Beach Club offre un bus navetta gratuito per George Town, dove è possibile rifornirsi di cibo, visitare il mercato della paglia e negozi, o prendere un taxi acqueo a Stocking Island. Il Beach Club offre anche (gratis) l'uso di kayak di mare. Quando si è pronti ad andare exploring- ci sono diverse mezza giornata / tutto il giorno escursioni in barca disponibili che vi porterà a visitare numerose altre isole, tra cui i maiali di nuoto, iguana isola, e tante altre belle isole disabitate che compongono il 365 isole delle Isole Exuma.

Absolutely loved our stay at Diamond Palm. The unit is exactly as pictured and the pictures don’t even do the location justice. We absolutely will be back. The hosts were so kind, responsive and some of the best we’ve ever had. They were accommodating and always made sure we were equipped to have the best vacation ever. We will be recommending this unit to all of our friends/fam. Thank you so much!

The Hideaways itself was very accommodating. The pool area, waterfront beach access and Splash being on site was all great. The interior unit itself was mediocre, but we were limited on options booking somewhat late, so we had agreed if it was clean, cool and comfortable, we would be fine because we explore and don't stay put throughout the day. Upon arriving, the ac unit was completely off and the musty smell and mildewed paint was a huge turn off to start our vacation. I carry air freshener with me, so we made due. There are no simple "extras" for convenience, which again was fine because I over prepare, but compared to the adjacent units, I would not choose this rental again. With the funds from our visit alone, some VERY simple "upgrades" like fresh paint, updated cushions, a little cooler, tips on exploring, decor, etc would greatly improve what could be a really fantastic property. The island, people and water are so beautiful and overall we were happy with our stay, but just a few "little things" would make this unit worth coming back to.

Nice small sized resort

Nice laid back place. Everyone very friendly. Nice beach, bar and restaurant. Unit I had was in need of updates. Found out no house cleaning half way through trip, garbage pick up, fresh towels.

It's available from the resort, but at an extra charge by them. If we included it, our rates would be higher. We think its best to allow the guests to decide. You said it was in need of updates. Steps from a beautiful beach

This unit at Hideaways was great! You cannot beat the location. The employees of this little resort are so friendly. The interior of the cabin is a bit dated, but the location is all that matters. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. We loved it. The owner was amazing. We visited during spring break week and our flights were canceled. She went above and beyond to help us.

The location was fantastic, and the host, Rachel, was wonderful in assisting us with the reservation and any questions. Ocean was so amazing! The unit itself was okay; functional with all the basics with a bonus second bathroom. And while the towels were nice, the unit is due for an overhaul. Might have been a nice welcome to have a first jug of water on hand (have to buy by the 4L jug for 5.50 USD at reception), a starter set of shampoo/conditioner/lotion, cushions for the outdoor table chairs, and lounger cushions that weren't falling apart or grungy. It also would have been helpful to have a list of local information or resort rules in the unit, especially the number of the unit manager, Cleo. Maybe some folding beach chairs...We are not snob-type vacationers, but this week at Diamond Palm was our last stop after a week of travelling and I'd hoped it would be a little more welcoming. The Hideaways Resort was relaxing, the daily shuttle into Georgetown was very handy and the people were wonderful.

Location location location!!

Beautiful property at a very beautiful central location!! George Town just 3 min drive away. Little exuma 40 min and Coco plum beach also 35 min away. Jolly hall beach just 10 min walk and kids enjoyed the most at that beach. Oh and and if that's far away for you, you have your own beach exactly 10 steps away !!Villa itself was beautiful with nice big 1 room and 2 bathrooms with good size kitchen. It even had a coffee maker and all utensils available. I had the best sunrise view every morning and hideaways offers stand up paddle, kayak that was cherry on the top. Very friendly staff and a great bar in hideaways was a perfect bliss. If I ever come back to Exuma I am definitely staying here again !!

30th Anniversary

Our Villa was right at the waters edge like the web site states. The best surprise was how great the snorkeling was just outside our door. From Turtles to giant puffer fish, we saw it all. The unit itself was clean and had what we needed for our stay. Stocking Island is a short boat trip to experience Sting Rays and we recommend Coastline for the all day boat trip if you want to swim with sharks, pigs, see Iguanas, snorkel in a Grotto, walk an enormous sand bar and experience some really good local food. We are going back ASAP.

Great location, excellent, kind, caring staff

This place was located in the perfect place. As close to the middle of the island and very close to Georgetown, a fantastic deli/meat market run by very nice people, several grocery stores nearby, if they don’t have what your looking for, they politely refer you to another one, possibly even a competitor. Liquor/beer stores nearby. The sun coming up right outside our door over the water every morning and was the perfect place to have our coffee every morning. The staff, the staff, what can I say. They were all so accommodating, courteous, polite. They were fantastic. We have many places we want to travel, but if/when we come back to the Bahamas, we will definitely come back here. No Need for a Sandals or any other resort, save your money, you can make your own food and eat out at the small local eateries. This place is intimate, and perfect for everything you could want. Splash bar and restaurant was located on site and took all but 30 seconds to walk to. You may expect a bar or restaurant to be somewhat loud but you can’t here a thing from there when your sitting outside your room. You only hear the gentle breeze and small splashes of the water on the beach. This was an excellent find and I’d recommend it to anyone coming to the island. Oh and be sure to buy some cat food at the grocery store and feed Rosie. She would sit outside our door and wait for us every morning. 😃

Extremely poor management. Overpriced. Misled about leaky roof among others issues. Received a little refund from owner. Not enough. Tried emailing VRBO three times without a response. Definitely, needs upgrading. This place can be great if they wanted it to be.

3 Star MAYBE, but this one needs work.

While George is a very nice guy, I selected this property due to the glowing reviews. WHOOPS. I'm not going to bore you with stories of beaches and pigs. Instead let's discuss this unit at Hideways. You'll notice there is only ONE photo of the interior of this place. We found out why entering it. I asked a couple of times for additional photos and George didn't know how to attach them. :-/ It all started when my wife opened a kitchen drawer and was greeted by the biggest palmetto bug we've seen in years! We are from Florida, so we know all about these creatures. The INSIDE of the freezer was RUSTY and the outside of the fridge wasn't much better. In the living room is a very tired and hard futon while the couch next to it was just as gross. Fabric is a poor choice for a beach rental. At a minimum, some washable throw covers would be a better option. The front desk gave us large sheets to cover the couches. Later that night, upon crawling in bed, we found a soaking wet pillow. It didn't take much investigating to discover the air conditioner above the bed was leaking condensate onto the pillows. Legionnaires disease anyone? We ran the front unit and left the bedroom unit off for the entire stay. I believe the resort is responsible for the poor threadbare bedding linens and odd brown stains on the sheets. EWWW! The pillows are only about 2inches thick and hard as rocks. The king size bed is pretty hard, but if you've had a few drinks, it's passable. Again, I would guess the resort is responsible for cleaning this place and changing the linens so that is probably something George might want to talk to hideways about. The towels were fluffy and soft. The lack of a dishwasher is not a big deal, as the hot water is nice and hot, just rusty looking..... :-/ I couldn't get confirmation from George if there was a blender here so I brought my own. Glad I did, there is one, but I wasn't using it. The resort is what it is, we didn't use it. There was a concert there one night and it went until 4am! Even the neighbors were complaining about the noise. Speaking of noise, there is some place down the beach that cranks base every night until midnight. Quiet place? NOPE. This one needs some work, I don't expect sandals at this price, but I've stayed on Grand Cayman for less money in nicer and cleaner places. Thanks George, we have fun where ever we go, but we won't be back. BTW, you can hear the bedroom toilet leaking water once the music stops.

Thanks for the review. Sorry it didn't meet your expectations. Most people like it there. We will talk to the resort management and ask them to address your suggestions. We were there in November and I didn't notice the issues you mentioned. We pay to have pest control several times per year. You are the first to complain about the furniture. It was fine in November. I'll check it out next trip. Was the view ok for you? How about the fact that you were only 15 steps from the beach? We try to make our rates affordable. You would not believe how much it costs to own there! I appreciate your comments and hope you will return to Exuma.

Oasis Beachfront Villa

A hidden gem! Wonderful spacious 1 bedroom villa that opens up to the beach. The property part of Hideaways Resort with 20 or so units, so the resort and beach feels very private. There are mostly older couples and families, you won’t find any drunk millennials here! The turquoise beach is shallow and ultra private. You can go half a mile out into the ocean with the water up to your knees. Best of all, there were a total of 5 people sharing the beach with us! For even a more pristine beach with crystal clear water, Jolla Cove is a 10 minute walk around the corner, there were just a handful of people there as well as stingrays. The 1 bedroom villa isn't quite what you would expect as a "villa", it's part of row of units. It's spacious and clean with 2 bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen with pots/pans/culinary, microwave, stove, oven, and regular full size refrigerator. Sadly there's no dish washer or washer and dryer. There’s an option for same day dry cleaning. The resort is bare bones with limited amenities - a fitness center without treadmills and limited shuttle services. Definitely not Sandals! There are no beach umbrellas and the resort offers for rent poor quality snorkeling gear, so bring your own snorkeling/scuba diving gear. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and nice, she even gave us a hug at the end of our stay. Definitely made up for the lack of amenities. Given the size of the room and privacy and low price point, the VRBO is a steal! The location was great conveniently in the heart of Exuma. It’s a 5 minute drive to the downtown area Georgetown and a 5 minute walk to Fish Fry, the casual local hot spot. Although it's conveniently located on the resort, Splash has expensive bar food and sugary cocktails. You can get much better food off the resort in Georgetown at Driftwood Cafe or cook your own meals from the grocery store, Exuma Market. We highly recommend renting a car! We rented a car right across the street at the agency Thompson's Car Rental (which is closed on Sundays). We explored the Southern part of the island and idyllic Tropic of Cancer beach as well as the Northern side. Note that room cleaning and breakfast aren't included and there’s airport pick-up, you can request by calling. We were able to find a cab easily from the airport. The host was responsive and got back to us promptly or so regarding the address and check-in process. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back!

Great place Perfect location

The condo was clean, comfortable and right on the beach. The personnel running the resort are helpful and friendly. Other international guests made stay interesting as well. A 5 minute walk to the North is Jolly Hall beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. This place has everything that makes the Bahamas a great place to spend a relaxing vacation.

Nice size little apartment on the beach.

This is located on a nice sized resort of sorts. The property is very clean but not fancy. The house is more of a condo and is very oceanfront. Like 35 feet ! Everything was clean. If you're expecting resorts like Mexico or Dominican republic or Atlantis in Nassau this will not be the place for you. I would highly recommend a car rental to get around to all the beaches and restaurants. The resort does offer transportation to Georgetown . Jolly hall beach is a short 5 min walk along the beach and across a small driveway. It is pristine White sand and wonderful clear water. We saw 4 people on the beach during our stay. The people on the whole island are kind and caring. Food can be a challenge to find but ask anyone and they will point you in the right direction.

Wonderful stay at Palm Bay

Beautiful view, comfortable bed, nice kitchen. All we could ask for on this quiet island with really nice people. We went on an Aquaquest excursion with Anton and Brandon. Saw the sharks, pigs, iguanas, and Thunderball grotto. Did Sunday at Chat and Chill. Went to Santana’s and Big D’s. George’s daughter had great recommendations. Exumas did not disappoint...

Relaxed and friendly

This was definitely a great place to enjoy beach, local eateries and still be close to George Town. Will absolutely stay here again.
