Good Enough, But Poor Communication
The condo was a nice enough place to stay and we would consider going back. Comfortable bed, gorgeous view and close enough to town to walk to. Our problem was the check in process. I received so many emails and texts about the stay, I figured one of them HAD to have check in information in there, especially by the time we arrived at 8:30pm. When we arrived, I went through everything and we had never been sent the information. The guest log in interface from the property manager (not VRBO) had a section for check in and all it said was “Make sure you have your information before leaving!” Nope - never received the email. I called the number numerous times hoping someone would pick up.. Left a voicemail, no call back - not even after it had been resolved to offer an apology. I finally found a different number through VRBO and he was able to help me. Why use an interface that provides EVERY detail, like WiFi, directions, check out, etc., but not check in?I know this was probably a freak accident, and sure I “should have made sure to have the information before leaving home” but that is information that has always reliably been easy to find through the VRBO app or email by the time check in is allowed, so I didn’t think much of it. All in all, it was a good enough stay we would go back but communication needs some work!
