From your private patio and exterior dining area, you have a view of Backbone Mountain. The St. Augustine lawn complete with shade cover is a lush backdrop to your view. Multiple birds (including painted buntings and cardinals) find their way here to enjoy the feast and fresh water.
The property is located 1 block east of Lake LBJ with a queen bed, pull out sofa and fully stocked kitchen as well as a propane grill.

A sanctuary for people, pets and birds!

An amazing peaceful weekend among the quiet of the country and the music of the birds who are living their best life at the Nest! Cindy thought of everything, anticipated every potential need in the most comfortable, fresh and clean, orderly setting. Truly a retreat. The beautiful backyard with lights made the evenings even more enchanting. We are looking forward to staying there again!

Picturesque Mountain View

Our visit was such a fun getaway! We so appreciate that they were pet friendly and our two dogs could join us. The fenced yard was beautiful & safe for our dogs. So peaceful & relaxing! We were able to see deer & so many birds & a squirrel ! There’s a short walk to the lake as well. Hosts were very friendly & helpful. The lake house was beautifully decorated & equipped with everything we needed.We plan to visit again !!!

Eclipse stay

Really enjoyed our stay. Picked it due to the location for the solar eclipse. Met friends at Ink Lakes State Park for it and only had to drive 6.5 miles to get there. Couldn't have worked out any better. The accommodations were perfect. Everything was well stocked and clean. Cindy was great. Upon arriving we were greeted by two red cardinals - had never seen one before. Nice bonus. Secluded location with total peace and quiet. Great place to just sit outside and relax. Highly recommended!

Our time

It was so pretty and tranquil out there.Fresh country air helped us sleep well.The Cardinals and deer the night time sky was nice.Great scenery around Kingsland. We appreciate all the people there super friendly.

Don't Pass This One Up!

We enjoyed everything about our stay and really enjoyed meeting Cindy, her husband, and grandson. We were impressed with the details and care they put into making our stay comfortable. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed. Our dogs loved having a yard to play in. We enjoyed the mountain view and watching the deer. I highly recommend staying here. The location is absolutely perfect. We look forward to coming back!

Quiet Anniversary

My husband and I were looking for a nice quiet spot out of the way to spend the weekend together for our 1st wedding anniversary. This was the perfect spot with beautiful views, birds and wildlife everywhere. This place is very pet friendly and our two dogs enjoyed the fenced in yard to run around in. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Thank you for your hospitality.

Peaceful and relaxing stay

We absolutely loved our stay at The Nest! Cindy was so easy to communicate with and offered us wonderful hospitality. The little barndo apartment is super cute, clean and well-stocked. The fenced yard was perfect for our dog too! We couldn't have asked for anything more!

Perfect Getaway

We were very happy with how clean the property was and how nice and quiet it was outside. The home is just the right size and the fenced in backyard was very nice with us having our two small pups with us. Only minutes from Kingsland with restaurants and a grocery store and a winery is just up the street. Great communication and hospitality! Would definitely recommend if you need a place to stay in the area. We are hoping we can return again one day soon we we don’t have a wedding to attend!

Great for bass fishing

We fished a 2 day Basschamps and this property was perfect! Covered parking for the boat, great location away from town and secure so didn’t have to worry about unloading gear or electronics.

Great Weekend!

Lott's Nest was neat, clean, comfortable and well laid out. Also nicely stocked. Cindy was available and very helpful. We enjoyed breakfast at Hooper's and the burgers and live music at Boat Land.

Quiet and cozy

Easy to find in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of space. We enjoyed coffee on the porch overlooking a hay field. Short drive into Kingsland, would definitely stay again.

This was an amazing place to stay! Cindy is a wonderful host and the accommodations were immaculate.

I could not ask for a better place to spend for a weekend getaway! The accommodations were amazing, Cindy is a wonderful host, you are minutes from good outdoor fun, delicious food and only an hour hour outside of Austin if you want to go into the city. Highly recommend!!!

Quaint & Cozy Pet-Friendly Getaway!

My wife and I had a great long weekend getaway at The Nest at Lott’s Landing! It was our first time taking our feline friend Mickey on a road trip. Cindy was a great host- she is super responsive, accommodating, and was more than willing to allow our feline friend! As difficult as it is to find a pet friendly place to stay, we were super grateful that Cindy welcomed our family with open arms. With or without pets, this would be a great getaway for any couple looking to enjoy the Hill Country!

The Perfect Getaway

The Nest was simply charming! It was the perfect impromptu getaway for my husband and I to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. The weather was nice, so we spent most of our time on the patio. We watched the deer mosey along the fence, and the birds flutter around. Our dog was in heaven. She had so many new sniffs, and new places to roll. I think she needed the vacation more than we did. Cindy was a fantastic host. The bathroom was something to get use too, but after 22 years we should be able to hear each other potty. ha ha We will defiantly return, and recommend anyone to visit.

A breathe of fresh air

Lott’s Landing exceeded our expectations. It was a great two days to get away from the city and enjoy the quiet neighborhood and small town feel. We loved watching the deer while hanging out in the well kept back yard. We had one initial challenge in getting connected to wifi, and the host was quick to get us some assistance. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get away, spend time on the river, or visit some of the local wineries. Two thumbs up from us.

Dream Vacation

The property is wonderful, inside and out. Everything you could want is provided, The patio is so comfy, and the scenery is just as beautiful as can be. The property owner is absolutely charming: there when you need her, and respects your privacy. It is a perfect place to stay, and if I could buy it, I would. I give it all stars available plus many more!!

Peaceful and perfect for two

We enjoyed our weekend getaway. This apartment is perfect for two. Clean with all of the amenities you need. Cindy kept great communication and even went the extra mile to provide us with water in the fridge upon arrival. We can’t wait to return for future trips!

Nice Hill Country Weekend Getaway

This is the second time my husband and I stayed at this amazing place! I enjoyed sitting out on the back porch viewing the beautiful mountain in the back drop of the open field. There were so many red birds and finches chirping away in the morning. I loved watching the deer graze out in the field. The inside was very clean and well stocked. Cindy was so nice and helpful. Thank you Cindy! I will definitely recommend this beautiful place to stay to my friends and family.

We found our forever property and cleared it with a vision in mind. We lived in an RV for a year while clearing the property and creating the infrastructure. We then added the shop building and an apartment; which is where we lived for 2 years while building our forever home. The apartment now is available for travelers to come and enjoy the hill country, the lake, fishing, wineries and shopping.

The property is peaceful and overlooks Backbone Mountain which is the backdrop overlooking a manicured hay field. The wildlife is abundant including deer and all types of birds. Great place to curl up and read a book and relax enjoying the gentle sounds of nature.
