Great spot along the river. Supplied kayaks! Home was clean and had everything we needed. Close to many hikes. Great area.

Enjoyed the hot tub and made good use of the stove after a long day out. Very comfortable & would recommend taking advantage of the watercraft and river access!

Beautiful spacious property. Plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. Great for bicycle enthusiasts, hiking, sightseeing, canoeing. I highly recommend the Hungry Trout restaurant for very fine delicious dining, a bit pricey but well worth it, a short drive from the house. The owner stocks the home with many fun outdoor activities/games. My family truly had a wonderful week at this riverside paradise. (Bald eagle sighting across the lake on and next to red building)

Great location with easy access to Whiteface, Lake Placid, hiking. View from the deck to the Ausable River is lovely; peaceful, great place to read or relax. Though there is a dock, access to the river is tricky if you plan to launch a kayak or canoe. Kitchen is well equipped; deck and yard are large. Beds very comfortable. The property is a bit overgrown. House smaller than expected from the website photos. The gazebo/screened porch were not useable; needs a good cleaning and some repair as does the front porch. Overall though, a pleasant place to stay.

Hi Jack, thank you for taking the time to give us direct feedback on what we could improve. The yard was definitely a challenge this summer with staff transition and heavy rain. We have made some adjustments and the space is now extremely well manicured and any overgrowth has been cleared. We also identified a vent issue with the dryer that was causing dust and have had that repaired. I am sorry things were not up to standard during your stay. We will continue to strive to address any issues along the way for future travelers or yourself if you choose to come back. We also have a brand new hot tub. You are welcome back anytime!

First of all the question that I look for answered is "would you having experienced the house want to come again?" Yes I would. It is located with easy access to both Whiteface and the High Peaks to the South. Both summer hikers and winter skiers will love the proximity to the trails and slopes. The house is spacious and has large areas to support many people or a large family. It was clean, well furnished, and both AC units worked very well. The hot tub was a family favorite. Our host was very responsive and cordial.

My gosh, we couldn't have a picked a better house for our first trip the Adirondaks. We spent out mornings riding bikes at the local bike park, afternoons exploring nearby hikes and beaches and our evenings kayaking on the river behind the house. The house had two sitting areas which was nice because the kids could hang in one place while the adults settled elsewhere. The kitchen was well stocked with pans and utensils which made cooking easy. There was a grill, a large backyard and a deck that was perfect for watching the sunset. My family of 5 enjoyed our stay immensely, especially kayaking to the town beach and riding bikes to the nearby ice-cream stand. Peak summer vibes.

Excellent location for skiing Whiteface mountain. Literally a 5 minute drive to the base. Very comfortable and spacious. Hot tub and gas grill was great!!

Loved the location and its pet friendliness. Our dog enjoyed the large yard to play in and hiking nearby trails. The hot tub was great after a day of hiking and cycling. Jennifer was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Would definitely come back to stay again.
