The location was incredible, on a cliff above the ocean, and a short distance from town. It was clean, and our guests loved the hot tub.

The view was beautiful and the kitchen was well stocked. The owner let us check in early, which was nice. The temperature was a bit hotter than we had imagined during the day, so it made the rooms a little hotter in the evening without AC but the heater worked well for the chilly nights. The hot tub was leaking, so we had to keep the hose in there in order for it to stay filled up but it was hot. Overall, we would stay here again.

Thank you for staying and taking time to review. We understand your feedback. I do want to note that the hot tub is pending repair with parts coming. We would rather our guest top it off here and there than take the amenity away completely. It will be fully address in November. As for AC, it is a rarity to find a home here on in Brookings with AC. It is also rare that AC is needed here in October on the coast. Please ne aware the listing clearly states NO AC, perhaps that was an oversite on booking for an amenity need on your end. We are shocked that those two items caused a dramatic decrease in rating, but are pleased the home was clean, stocked and all other amenities in the home were up to standards for your stay. Thank you again for staying!

The view is as advertised: stunning! Beach access close to the house is tricky, but there are also close by public beaches. Well stocked kitchen. Appliances are old and not superb. Not really a problem for us!

This is a lovely place, not only the home itself but the neighborhood. Hot tub overlooking the Pacific? Wonderful! It's also a perfect starting point to explore the area.The house was clean and also well supplied with towels, linens, and some kitchen supplies like coffee and spices. Even a crock pot and rice cooker. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home, stunning view, can walk to the beach in a few minutes (can drive too). One of the best rental homes I’ve been to.

Beautiful cottage overlooking the ocean. Equipped with everything you need. Quiet area with nice hot tub. Great place to sit back on the deck and watch the sunset as the sound of the waves lull you into sweet relaxation.

This is now my favorite rental....everything was clean, comfortable, and well thought out. Small comforts like a magnified mirror in the restroom or nice cooking pans in the kitchen. The only tiny negative is the no dogs policy...but the friendly dogs next door were delightful.

We absolutely loved our stay here. 2 little boys, my wife, me. It is peaceful and charming. Well appointed kitchen and a great amount of space for a small family. The only slight downsides included 3 different dogs roaming the property every day (all friendly neighbor dogs, but did leave some unwelcome deposits), the broken screen door (I notified the owner), and an unusual amount of cobwebs for a property that is so frequently used (also notified the owner). Still, would certainly stay again. Thank you!

Overall the place was suitable for what we needed. Three adults and one child fit comfortably in the rooms. The location was nice with short drives to town, beaches and parks. The house could use a deep cleaning to get rid of the cobwebs on the lampshades and dust on top of the wall hangings and fridge. Most of the jets in the hot tub did not work. The property is managed by a company and not owners, so they were not responsive via the VRBO app. They had their phone number and email listed for any issues that arose, but I like to keep everything on the app for the record and transparency. All in all, it was a nice rental, but could be cleaned up a bit.

I appreciate the review and feedback. I have alerted our cleaner with your cleaning feedback for some additional dusting- glad the home was otherwise very clean and sanitized. As for the hot tub, it is fully functional and the button for the jets has settings, perhaps you did not click them all as it has been checked since receiving this review. We have issues with VRBO App (since it joined with Expedia), we leave our phone number and email for quick responses and easy contact as we are local and more than happy to address any issues at any time of the day/night, we wish you would have followed up if you did not have an immediate response via app.
