Escape to the lake! Enjoy private waterfront living at this home on Lake Leelanau, just a few steps to the water. Guests enjoy the entire home, large private lawn, and on-site kayaks, canoe, paddle boards and other watercraft. Sandy, shallow water make using these amenities a joy.

Whether you are sitting by the fire pit, watching the kids kayak along the shore, or enjoying a nice cocktail on the deck, you cannot help but feel relaxed at Cedar Lodge!

Cedar Lodge on Lake Leelanau is located on the tip of Fountain Point, and boasts substantial waterfront, with a sandy beach, dock, tie-down buoy and more.

Reservations during summer months generally require 7-day stay; in June-July reservations run Sat-Sat, and in August they run Sun-Sun. Let us know if you want to stay longer than a week!

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was extremely private with lots of lake front. Mooring buoy was nice for the boat and it was great to have our dog.

Perfect Getaway

The place was perfect! The location was secluded enough to relax but close enough to town and attractions to stay busy when we wanted. My daughter and dog loved exploring the property and beach. The house itself had everything we needed...except coffee - which we figured out before the first morning, so no problem there. Communication with the hosts, Brian and Julie, was easy, efficient, and friendly; they seem like lovely people.

Cedar Lodge - Year 3

We love Cedar Lodge and all it has to offer. Julie and Brian are wonderful to work with as is Ken, their handyman. The property is unique with so much outdoor space for everyone, including your dog. They think of everything you may need both inside and out so don't worry about packing anything but your clothes and swim suits. The kitchen is especially well stocked! Plus there's so much to do in the surrounding area. Wonderful vacation spot as noted by our third consecutive year at Cedar Lodge.

Cedar Lodge Vacation 2023

This is our 2nd year at this property and we can't wait to go back. It's definitely a 5-star home that has everything you need. I always pack a "lake tub" with what I think are must haves. It stayed in the van; everything was there and then some. The property is truly amazing and keeps everyone entertained on sunny and rainy days. The area is perfect for day trips (not that you really want to leave) but Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes are nearby as are tasting rooms and good restaurants. Brian and Julie are terrific hosts and stay in touch before and after your stay!

5-Star all the way

Super clean house, ample yard for our dogs, great clear water with perfect depth for swimming and playing on the supplied boards/kayaks. Nice kitchen, fully furnished better than I have ever seen with quality equipment/utensils. No air conditioning was a concern, but the lake breeze was great for even the 80's we had. Great to disconnect from the world for a week.... great hosts, very nice thanks!!!

Comfortable, charming cottage

Great overall experience. Cedar Lodge is very clean & well maintained, well equipped, both inside & outside with games, boats, kayaks, etc. The location is excellent. The expansive property is directly on the water & the views are beautiful. The congenial host is responsive.

Summer 2022

This was, by far, the best property we have rented on an inland lake. The home was wonderful and stocked with everything you could possibly want or need (and them some). Julie and Brian, our hosts, were very responsive both before and during our stay. The location is outstanding, the property and all that was provided to assure a fun time was amazing. We will go back!!!

An Idyllic setting

The house and property is right on Lake Leelanau , and is set back on a driveway in the woods so is very private. The lovely lakefront had a large lawn for picnicking, a dock, and boats to launch. The interior of the house looked brand-new, and was very clean and attractive with a theme in the décor of lighthouses and ships, which was fun. The beds were comfortable, and we slept well. The kitchen was very pretty, and was well-stocked with dishes, pots and pans, and every utensil you could imagine. There is so much to do, and we hiked in Sleeping Bear Dunes down the road on M22, and visited the charming towns of Leland and Northport. We had our dogs, and there was plenty of yard space to walk them. There is a nice deck overlooking the lake and we ate dinner out there. The host seemed to think of everything we might need to make a happy vacation. Overall, we had a wonderful time!

Great Week Away

This property was perfect for a week at the lake. The place was clean, very nicely maintained, and the location was ideal. Very close to Leelanau, and minutes from Leland and Sutton’s Bay. Even possible to kayak up to the Boathouse for some wine tasting! The outdoor space was one of the better features in my opinion. It was large enough for our kids to run around and with play frisbee, football, hide and seek and tag. It also has great views going north and south along the lake. Perfect Location

Wonderful stay! This is the perfect location with privacy right on the lake. We rented jet skis and had an amazing time. House was clean and everything is provided. Restaurants and grocery store is close by. Owners were really nice and made it very easy! Would love to return!

Private & Relaxing

It was a perfect private get away for my family. We enjoyed the privacy of the property and felt we had our own oasis for our week long stay. Our kids had a blast playing in the shallow water, using the paddle boat and kayaks while my husband and I relaxed on the deck or the dock. We enjoyed having a fire pit for evening fires and Making s’mores. The property is very close to town so easy to get to a grocery store and several places for ordering food. We also rented a pontoon boat for several days and it was very easy to make arrangements with the local sport company. We loved our stay so much that we plan to come back next summer. The owners were very responsive and checked in with us to make sure our stay was going well. Being next to fountain point was nice as our kids enjoyed walking over to the play set and we loved the fact that the house is in front of a no wake zone so the noise from boats on the lake was minimal. For us, it was the perfect spot!

The house sits on about 1.25 acres, and is situated a few yards from the water. We have lots of open space, with room to run around and set up fun activities such as frisbee, cornhole toss, or whatever other outdoor activity you can imagine.

Since we are located on the tip of a point, we have extensive shoreline with multiple water access points through a beautiful treeline.

Guests can use our kayaks, pedal boat, canoe, SUP or jon boat (approved life jackets are provided).

We have preserved a wooded cedar tree area in the center of the property, which provides shade and beauty.
