Thank you for your review Barb. For future reference here is a short explanation; September is hurricane season, which means that the weather is warmer than usual. The way on the island to get circulation in the house is by opening windows. Not something we're used to in the USA. But homes on the island are designed for this purpose. On another note, there are 2 moveable standing fans available plus there is a ceiling fan and an AC in the living room. I will look though to see if there is anything we can improve.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. While we regret that several of these issues affected your stay, we wish they had been brought to our attention while you were at the property. We live nearby and have a responsive maintenance team, and in most cases we would have been able to address them promptly so you could fully enjoy your vacation. The cleaning issue you mentioned, including the item left behind in the bathroom, is completely unacceptable, and we sincerely apologize for this oversight. We have reviewed this with our housekeeping team and implemented additional quality-control checks to help ensure it does not happen again. Regarding the ants, this is unfortunately a seasonal reality in the Caribbean, particularly during the dry season. Even with regular professional pest control treatments around the property, ants can occasionally find their way indoors, especially in homes designed to take advantage of the island's natural breeze. For our guests' convenience, we provide insect spray, and the exterior of the property is professionally treated every month. The animal droppings on the pool deck were most likely from iguanas, which are common throughout Curaçao, especially around gardens and pools. While we do our best to discourage them, they are wild animals and can occasionally visit the property despite our efforts. We would also like to clarify one point regarding electricity. We do not charge guests simply for using the air conditioning. Electricity is included up to 60 kWh per day, which is more than sufficient for normal use of the entire house, including all air-conditioning units. Only unusually excessive consumption beyond this generous daily allowance may incur an additional charge. The shutters in the doors on the main floor are fully adjustable and can be closed to help keep the cool air inside while using the air conditioning. We would also like to address the comment regarding the home's temperature upon arrival. As part of our standard preparation, the house is thoroughly cleaned and secured before guest arrival. Because of Curaçao's tropical climate, we generally keep the windows and doors closed after cleaning to help maintain security and keep insects outside. Guests are welcome to open the windows to enjoy the island breeze or use the air conditioning according to their personal preference during their stay. Since your stay, we have invested significantly in improving the property. Over the past few weeks we have: Repaired and adjusted all doors and windows. Repainted the entire main floor and apartment. Fixed the lighting issues. Completed a deep clean of the entire home. Upgraded much of the interior furniture. Upgraded and replaced all patio and pool deck furniture. Completed another professional pest-control treatment. We genuinely appreciate guest feedback, as it helps us continue improving the experience we provide. We are confident these improvements have made the home even more enjoyable, and we look forward to welcoming future guests to experience the beautiful, relaxing Caribbean vacation that our property is intended to offer.

thanks for your kind words John, much appreciated! I am sorry to hear some games weren't complete. I will ask the property manager to make sure she will remove those. I did bought new ones though, but they weren't in the game room but in the cabinet under the phone ;(. So I wish I knew so I could have told you. Sorry for this.
