Perfect Vacation House

The Beach House is in the perfect location. The owners were very friendly and easy to work with. Lots of close eating places with delicious entrees! Beautiful season to visit Door County! Next trip we will definitely try to stay at the Beach House!

Great location.

The property was clean and beautiful location right on the beach. The house was fully stocked with everything you would need. I wish you didn’t have to bring your own towels and sheets but everything else was great for our family.

Quality Door County lakeside stay!

Great place that felt like home away from home. Jim was a great host. Very attentive and made sure everything was taken care of. Paddleboarding into the sunrise was a treat in the mornings. Would definitely stay again!

The property is beautiful and wonderfully appointed for comfort and enjoyment, clean and quiet. The cottage is quaint and the beach with chairs is awesome. Amazing views!!!

Amazing views!!! The kitchen is well stocked. Comfortable furniture and beds. Great outdoor seating. The owners really have thought of everything. Convenient drive to all points of interest. Must try the pizza at Mike's pub and grill.

Serene Summer Home

We had a lovely time. The home is beautiful, very clean, and has many amenities. The view of Lake Michigan was outstanding. We loved wading in the water. Very quiet and peaceful. We look forward to returning! A must stay!

Wonderful

This was such a great stay. The house is very nice and the location is incredible. The beach is wonderful and perfect for kids. It was really nice for the kids that there was so much shallow area in the water. We had a lot of fun with the paddle board too! The house was cozy but still provided plenty of space. This is definitely a place that will be on our list for future vacations.

A hidden beach treasure

This beach house has a best view! Jim and Linda’s property was a perfect fit for 4 adults and 2 kids. We were greeted with beautiful furnishings and lots of amenities like beach toys, puzzles, outdoor seating and dining, and an upper end kitchen (to my delight). The posted photos were accurate. It’s a great location for a vacation. Thanks!

Spectacular View

The house sits right on the lake making for breath taking views and access to the beach. The house and grounds are well kept with numerous amenities. You can tell the owner takes pride in keeping the property clean and maintained. We walked the beach, built fires, paddle board, kayaked, and visited numerous orchards and wineries. The weather was gorgeous and the leaves just beginning to show their colors. We enjoyed our stay and would return again.

Has everything!

We totally enjoyed our stay! The kitchen had everything we needed and more, including space for multiple cooks. When we weren’t at the beach, we enjoyed the view from the window. But most of the time we were having a meal at the patio table or relaxing on the beach watching our granddaughter play in the sand. Plenty of sand toys, inflatable small boats, paddle boards, and comfy chairs. It was nice that the water was pretty shallow for our five yr old. Gorgeous sunrises!

Great stay!

House was as listed and photos current. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen. Firewood was supplied which was a huge plus as we used the indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit daily. Beautiful view, steps from the water. The house is not within walking distance of shops/restaurants but only a short drive to other areas. Due to COVID and social distancing we cooked at the house and took long walks at several state parks. Had a great, relaxing stay and will rent again!

We loved living the lake life!

Both young and old loved our stay at Cedar Shores. It was everyone's first time in Door County and Cedar Shores was a well-positioned home base. We went on epic beach walks, saw wildlife, had bonfires, rented a paddleboard and sometimes just sat and listened to the waves. It was such a treat to have the lake right out back! The house is well-stocked and clean. We had 4 adults and 2 kids and had plenty of space. The host is very communicative and helpful. If we ever return to Door County, we'd book this home again.

This rental home is well-equipped and provides a wonderful Lake Michigan front stay. The yard and beach are incredible. Our group thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here "again", as we had stayed previously a few years ago. At that stay, linens were provided. It was assumed they were provided again, but the listing clearly states they do not provide sheets, towels. The owner was so gracious to reveal a secret area with extra sheets, towels for our use. This was greatly appreciated-Thanks, Jim! Excellent communication with owner. The only observation for improvement might be more detail to cleaning of ceiling cobwebs, ceiling fan - Especially with the generous cleaning fee charged.

Incredible place!!

We LOVED the home and location. We traveled as a family of 5 (one newborn!) and 2 grandparents. It was absolutely perfect. The beach and lake right outside were incredible. We even saw the northern lights at night! The sky was dark and stars stood out. It was magical. Highly recommend! The only thing I didn't like was having to bring our own sheets and towels. This is not something I'm used to with rentals and felt unnecessary for us to have to pack all of that in addition to our normal. That is my only feedback! Thanks!

Perfect Cottage in Door County

We stayed at Cedar Shores June 5-9. The cottage is beautiful and well maintained. Super clean and the beds are VERY comfortable. Any pots, pans, dishes, spices, etc. that you would need to cook a meal are there and well stocked. We really enjoyed watching the pelicans out on the water. There were a lot of small dead fish on the shore, which smelled pretty bad so we didn't spend a lot of time on the beach. Other than that, the beach is amazingly beautiful. I really liked all of the accessibility features in the cottage such as the grab bars in the shower, the railing on the back step and the railing going down to the beach. My mom has mobility issues and we really appreciated all of those being there. Communication with the owner was top-notch. I would definitely stay at Cedar Shores again!

Cedar Shores cottage

Cute cottage that was very well stocked. Very clean upon arrival. Owner was very communicative once all was confirmed. If I needed anything I was able to text, call or email. Can’t beat the views or sound of the waves rolling in. We were lucky with the water level to able to walk the beach along the lake. We would definitely stay at this property again.

A Little Slice of Heaven

Jim and Linda have created a warm, family-friendly space that is a little slice of Door County heaven. Very clean, well-stocked, thorough directions and contact with owners. Close to everything! Highly recommend!!!

Excellent vacation home

We really enjoyed our stay. Jim provided so much communication leading up to stay and was available for our minor concerns while there. The house is beautiful and back patio is incredible. We can't wait to return.

5 Day Get-Away

The property was better than expected. The flow of the house allowed for gathering, but allowed for privacy. It's great for families or friends. The yard was magnificent with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Very comfortable place to stay!
