Shauna and Mario are the best VRBO hosts west of the Mississippi (tied with our favorite hosts east of the Mississippi)! The apartment was clean and fully stocked with anything you could want, including copious snacks, fresh eggs, and wine. The bed was comfy. Shauna was incredibly easy to work with. We’ll be back!

This was the second time in the past two years that we stayed at this property. We purposely scheduled this most recent trip out West to run through the Denver area so we could visit with the owners, Shauna and Mario once again. And just as before, we were welcomed with open arms and a clean, comfortable, cozy place to stay. All of the amenities you would want are there. Since we'd been there before, it felt like coming home. Thank you, Shauna and Mario, for all that you do for all of your guests. It's plain to see how much time and effort you put into caring for us and making sure we have everything we need. We hope to see you again soon and we'd love to return the favor of your hospitality should you ever venture to Virginia!

Perfect home away from home

We stayed here during our Colorado trip, due to Larkspur being a central location to our various activities. The hosts are very kind and communicative, the apartment is comfortable and well appointed, and we felt at home while there. We even got to pet some of the cats, which helps when we’re away from our own! Would definitely stay here again on future trips.

A perfect vacation experience!

My husband and I stayed at Shauna and Mario’s place for two weeks and we absolutely loved it. Shauna and Mario are gracious hosts, their apartment is spacious and charming, and the farm animals are very entertaining. The location is perfect as there are many interesting things to see and do within an hour or two in any direction. We had a fantastic time and were sad to leave our new friends and this idyllic spot.

All the animals, especially the alpacas, are missing your presence in their pasture, as you read your books in the sunshine. Fantastic people to stay with!

Shauna and Mario are the sweetest and most wonderful people to stay with! My wife and I stayed in the apartment under them for our honeymoon and they made us feel very welcome. The apartment was absolutely wonder. Very clean with anything you would ever need. We plan on staying with them again whenever we go back to Colorado.

Relax and enjoy!

This was so much more than we expected! Beautiful location, amazing hosts, within 30 minutes all of the Denver area. We were greeted with fresh eggs from their chickens, very private. Can't say enough good things about this, truly a hidden gem. I will definitely go back!

Country Living for Families

We had a wonderful time staying at this country apartment at Centennial. The place is very roomy and the beds very comfortable. The views of the Rockies were gorgeous. The farm animals made the stay extra special for our granddaughter. She really enjoyed playing on the grassy backyard and spending time visiting resident chickens and goats and petting farm kitties and dogs. Our hosts were a pleasure to meet and always welcoming and helpful.

Thank you, Esther! We loved having the four of you here! Your granddaughter was really fun to be around ~ being able to teach her things about “farm life” ~ she was so receptive, and such a big help! And, I loved talking with Jim about his philosophical ideas, he really broadened my mind! And, Esther, I can’t believe how clean you left the apt! It was almost as if no one had been there all week! Thank you for taking such great care! I truly hope our paths cross again, that we’ll see you back here, or maybe someday we’ll make it down to Tucson!

The owners treat you more like a B+B but not intrusive. More supplies than you can use. Excellent communication. Like being with your family.

Most wonderful hosts!

Shauna and Mario are the most welcoming of hosts. They could not have been kinder to us. We enjoyed hanging out with them and the animals. Due to ill health and the heat we spent a lot of time at the apartment and found it most comfortable.Everything that you could possibly need or want. Lots of extras such as snacks, beer and wine

I know the first time you were here, you weren't feeling well, but when you came back around the second time, it was so good getting to know you both, hearing about you life in England, and even listening to your accents. Shauna and Mario are amazing and have created a very comfortable, special and well stocked space! We stayed here with our grandchildren, they had a blast while we made treasured memories. Shauna and Mario were welcoming to extended family to stop in for visits. Shauna really took her time to make us feel welcome, show us around the farm, shared a wealth of knowledge and the kids loved her! We appreciated all the little extras...snacks, drinks, an extremely well stocked kitchen, plenty of linens and pillows, laundry essentials, night lights and their use of motion lighting was a special touch. It was quite, the beds were comfortable, water was hot and we had great water pressure. The location is convenient and very beautiful! We hope to stay here next time we are visiting our son and definitely would recommend to anyone staying in the area especially with children. Shauna and Mario are so very accommodating, great people with an amazing place!

The Perfect Place To Stay

We were so excited for our stay in Centennial after reading so many glowing reviews prior to booking this property. But I must say, everything about it far exceeded our expectations. We had such an instant connection with our hosts, Shauna and Mario, that we felt as if we were staying with old friends who rolled out the red carpet for us. The apartment was so clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with just about everything needed for our stay. Some of our other family members who were in the area came to visit us there and were welcomed with the same warmth and kindness. We all had so much fun visiting with the animals and our young granddaughter just loved the egg hunt that Shauna had prepared for her. Thank you again, Shauna and Mario for such a memorable stay! We hope to see you again soon!

Escape to Denver

Shauna and Mario were amazing! Friendly, accommodating and professional. The property is conveniently located just off a busy road...but perfectly situated for NO traffic noise. This single level, ground floor access is perfect for anyone with mobility challenges. They provided so many basics, more than any other rental we have used. Fresh eggs (from chickens on site), bacon, snacks and a pantry and refrigerator full of staples and condiments! They provided way more than expected. The property was clean and everything was in perfect working condition. Thank you Shauna and Mario for a wonderful week in Denver.

We absolutely love staying here! This was our second visit, and we’ve already booked again for the spring because it’s just that special. Shauna and Mario are truly exceptional hosts — warm, thoughtful, and always going way above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. You can feel how much care they put into every detail.The kitchen is honestly the best-stocked of any VRBO I’ve ever stayed at. Every tool, gadget, pan, spice, and staple you could possibly need is already there — cooking here is a dream. It feels like staying with incredibly organized friends who thought of everything.My daughter is obsessed with the goats, chickens, dogs, and all the birds visiting the feeders. She wakes up excited every morning just to go say hi to everyone. It’s such a sweet, wholesome bonus that makes the whole place feel magical.The location is ideal — tucked in a peaceful, relaxed, low-key neighborhood that feels wonderfully quiet and private, yet it’s only about 10 minutes from the heart of Centennial/Parker. You get the best of both worlds.We couldn’t recommend this place more. Shauna and Mario make it feel like home, and we can’t wait to come back!

This was our third multi-week stay at Shauna and Mario’s property, and it continues to be one of our absolute favorite places to stay. They are incredibly kind, welcoming hosts who genuinely make you feel at home from the moment you arrive.The location is perfect — close to everything you could need in the greater Denver area, yet it somehow feels completely removed from the hustle and bustle. The neighborhood is peaceful, charming, and very walkable, with easy access to nearby walking trails that made it easy to enjoy the outdoors every day.The house itself is wonderfully comfortable and thoughtfully equipped. The kitchen is INCREDIBLY well stocked, especially if you enjoy cooking — high-quality pots, pans, and everything you could possibly need. We also loved waking up to bird calls in the mornings, enjoying the farm fresh eggs, and relaxing at night with the great TV setup and endless channel options.It’s just a truly lovely place to spend time, and we already look forward to coming back again.

Grandparents Welcome

A sign overlooking our parking spot on the property said in Spanish Grandparents Welcome. So true. The working farm with immaculately tended chickens and goats, as well asthe two regal white Pyrennese dogs are a magnet that draws suburban grandchildren to this rental. We had come to Colorado to assist at the birth of our second grandchild. What a treat it was to have the big sister visit here while her parents were in the hospital with the newborn. The owners were most solicitious and took our granddaughter on multiple trips to gather eggs and feed the chickens. But our own stay over three weeks couldn't not have been more enjoyable. Arriving late in the afternoon, we found a fully stocked kitchen with all the basic spices, oils, flour, sugar, etc. But even more wonderful was the food left in the refrigerator and freezer with all the fixings for the next morning's breakfast plus the ice cream for a late night snack. The two bedroom apartment is roomy and very comfortable, with a wonderful sense of style. Coming from the East Coast, we were quite ignorant of many renowned Southwestern artists. Each room had quality prints of several such masters. In addition, unique lamps, striking dried floral arrangements, added to the charm. The neighborhood also was very attractive to us. Minutes away from suburbia, it was an enclave of ranches which offered us many nice walks among cottonwoods and old growth trees conveniently located out our back door. Finally, I must remark on the gorgeous sunsets from our patio, and the big sky all around, the whole globe as it were before our eyes. Highly recommended.
