This was a great place for a family stay. We had board games for the end of a long day of hiking. The dogs were welcomed and even found an old ball.

The house is located in the middle of a lot of attractions. It was secluded from the main town but there is a house located close to the property. The lake view is not seen from the property. We were not able to get in the creek that runs along the house due to very low water levels. The host was very nice and communication was great. The cleanliness needs to be more sufficient.

Franny, I greatly appreciate that you messaged us about the dishwasher and grill after you checked out. That gave us the opportunity to immediately give them a deep clean, and doing so is now on our cleaners monthly depending clean schedule. I was happy to refund you the cleaning fee due to the inconvenience. Fontana Lake is lowered by the TVA immediately after Labor Day, and the lack of rain unfortunately kept water levels lower. Thankfully we saw more rain this week! I hope you'd consider staying with us again if you're in the area. We'd be happy to have you return. Thanks again!

We really enjoyed our stay! The home was clean, roomy enough, had lots of extras such as pantry items, we enjoyed the hot tub, we enjoyed the firepit area, and overall had a great time.

A great place to stay for a quiet and peaceful getaway. We mostly enjoyed the view and the sound of the creek from the porch. Due to the drought this past Spring, the water levels were lower than usual but our 7 & 9 year old grandsons still had fun splashing around. Matt was very responsive to any questions we had.

Loved listening to the creek. Owners have gone above and beyond to stock this cottage with extras you don’t normally get in a rental. Area is lovely and only about 10 minutes to Bryson City for restaurants/stores. Boys enjoyed being able to fish!

Lovely home on the water. Secluded and private but still close to restaurants and shopping. House was well stocked with anything you could need and very clean. Host was wonderful and responded immediately. Will stay again!

Everything was fantastic. The home was clean, had all the necessities we could need. It's quiet and super close to town and pet friendly! We enjoyed the fire pit at night and went into town during the day or just enjoyed the sound of the stream. Very relaxing and the host is excellent!

Great Getaway

We found the cabin to be clean and well stocked. Having kayaks provided was also a plus. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch as well as the dock.
