Two bedroom, fully furnished apartment with private entrance on 3 wooded acres
This cozy fully furnished apartment is located on the ground floor of our log home. Located on three acres just 15 minutes from downtown Fairbanks.
The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, utensils, pots and pans, basic spices (and if you need a spice and I have it in my pantry, I will gladly share!), Keurig coffee pot with a starter supply of coffee pods and teas.
The bathroom has a good-sized shower and we keep a supply of body wash, shampoo and conditioner on hand. Leave your hair dryer at home -- there's one in the unit!
One bedroom has two twin beds and the second has a queen bed. All have comfortable bedding - all of which are washed after each reservation using ALL Free and Clear detergent and Lysol laundry sanitizer.
The washer/dryer unit is located in the mechanical room just off the kitchen and an initial supply of detergent and dryer sheets is kept on hand.
The property has lots of birch and aspen trees, a few spruce, lawns and flower beds, corrals and barn.
During the winter months and the northern lights are dancing in the sky above, you just have to step out the door to take in this amazing phenomenon. There are no street or city lights to prevent a good viewing.
If you're visiting us during the winter months, we highly suggest you rent an all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive vehicle with good tires that is winterized for our Fairbanks winters. Driving can be challenging! An engine block heater is especially helpful. We have an extension cord and outlet to plug into -- but we are not responsible if your vehicle doesn't start during our cold winter days.
PLEASE NOTE. We (owners) live upstairs. We have pets and we're a busy family. We are conscientious of noise levels and try to be as respectful as possible about this while living upstairs. If you are looking for silence and a more isolated location, I suggest looking for alternative accommodations.

Kathy was a magnificent host. Her provided list of activities for the area was extremely helpful. The precise directions to the property’s location provided by Kathy made it a stress free act. The kitchen was gorgeous and stocked with essential utensils, pots, pans, cleaning supplies, etc. The beautiful wooden trim in the bathroom did not go unnoticed. This property was built with love and cared for at the highest level of maintenance. Kathy wrote in her description that they live in the upper level of the home. Hearing the dogs play was a plus to us. I highly recommend staying in this beautiful apartment. I wish my stay could have been longer.

Absolutely wonderful
We were all very impressed with the communication and ease of finding the property and met the hosts and some of their animals. Definitely will be staying there again when we visit!!

Comfortable stay with beautiful trees all around the property. Plenty of helpful Alaska travel resources available in the living room, and host Kathy readily answered our specific questions about the Fairbanks area!

Kathy is such a gracious host. The property is beautiful, peaceful and easy to find. Would love to stay there again on our next visit.

Property was just as listed. Hosts( including Kathy, her husband, dog and Chip their horse) were very welcoming. We enjoyed the property and stay in this very comfortable and cozy home.

We had an amazing stay. Raspberry Acres was very comfortable and our hosts were wonderful. The horses and pups amd chickens were welcome companions as we walked the property from time to time. We truly enjoyed our stay here and it provided everything we needed...just like home! We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Alaska! Thank you, Kathy!

Home away from Home
Raspberry Acres is a beautiful, comfortable, and private location- easy access to Fairbanks and nearby points of interest. Kathy is a superb host.

Very pleasant and homey
Kathy and Steve were very welcoming and hospitable. The rooms were very well decorated and we were provided with everything we needed.

Beautiful setting
We loved staying here. We felt like we were in the woods but still very close to Fairbanks.
Property was clean and comfortable with many extras. Our hosts were welcoming and checked with us to see if we needed anything. Would definitely stay here again.

This apartment is beautifully furnished and maintained. Everything you could want is there. The Hosts were Welcoming and available if i needed them. Location was all that i could ask for. I highly recommend

Absolutely perfect!
We were met by our host who was so friendly and even made us Alaskan-grown blueberry bread! The entire facility was comfortable, and we had plenty of room for four of us to spread out and relax when we returned from a day of touring. Definitely would stay here again and recommend it for families too.

Clean spacious property
This was a great property with plenty of room for a family. The property owners were very accommodating! The location was secluded, which felt like we really were getting away, but it was easy to get anywhere in Fairbanks/ Ft. Wainwright.

40th Anniversary get-away
Lovely home in a rural setting. The hostess was amazing, and couldn't have been kinder. It was easy to get to, just a short drive from Fairbanks. Made a great "home base" for us to do some interesting activities.

This place is absolutely amazing!! Clean and well maintained with all kinds of stuff you need there. Kathy is such a nice person provided with lots of details before we getting here and checked in with us for needs. We really enjoyed the stay and everything there, will definitely recommend to any group of family or friends traveling to Fairbanks!!!

Steve and I grew up in Juneau and moved to Fairbanks in 2005. Our two adult children, their spouses and a total of five grandchildren ranging in age from 10 to 23 live nearby.
Our little mini farm includes our golden retriever Mila, Dillon our orange tabby cat, several chickens, our Rocky Mountain horse Chip, and the newest addition to the family, Shelby, a German Shorthair Pointer.
Steve is an avid hunter and fisherman. Kathy loves riding Chip, gardening and quilting. As a family, we all love camping, spending time at our cabins on the Chatanika River, snowmachining and four-wheeling and trips to Valdez for fishing.
