This property served the needs of my grown children and their families very well. Clean, comfy, and just what was needed for 8 adults, 3 children, and one infant.A bit hectic with getting in and out of the property due to road construction, but I'm confident this will be an awesome property to drive into once the main road to it is resurfaced and smooth.

This is our second time renting the Orca House and we will definitely be coming back again. The accommodations in the home are amazing, coming with everything you need for a weekend getaway. The pool and ping pong table in the garage are so much fun and gives us something to do on a rainy day. Aside from that, the view is spectacular from the house and the deck. Always being able to see wildlife in the ocean and boats going by makes this experience even better. I would recommend this house for anyone and everyone visiting Homer. Being pet friendly helps as well for our fur babies to join.

What a view! I really would not have minded just sitting by the huge windows for the full time that we were there. Wonderful, well stocked kitchen. Big living room/greatroom with good seating. Plenty of bedrooms with king beds (multi bed bedroom had smaller beds but not too small. Great for kids). The bottom two br's are kinda odd-gotta go through one to get to the other. We stuck the adult kids down there lol. Game room was fun. The grandkids loved it. There is not access to the ocean, so be aware. Great communication before and during our stay. Would go back tomorrow!

Perfect for a great family gathering!

This property couldn’t have been more perfect for our family get together! From a very well stocked kitchen to a view that was so amazing to ample space to socialize and visit! Everything was clean and organized. The weather was stellar which added to our birthday celebration! Gorgeous setting!

Everyone in our group was so surprised by the stunning views from the second floor, the beautiful design of the house and space of the house. It was clean and well taken care of.

A wonderful place to stay

Our family of 4 generations had an amazing time in this wonderful home. All the amenities we could need and stocked like no other vacation rental we have been in. The views from the wrap around deck is breathtaking. We saw hundreds of seals/otters playing right in front of us! The decor throughout this home is so nice in every room. We can’t wait to stay here again and again. Also Connie is an amazing host and communication with her was great.

Great Homer house

Stayed here for NYE with extended family. Property is spacious and has remarkable views. Plenty of bedding, towels, etc. The ‘play room’ was a hit with the kiddos. Access to one room was a little awkward since you had to go through another room (in summer I think outdoor access is available) but no complaints. Thank you so much Connie for a delightful stay!

Perfection

This house was beautiful, completely stocked, with a terrific view of the bay. The kitchen was a chef’s dream and allowed plenty of room for the many sous chefs. We enjoyed watching the seals and otters in the bay, majestic eagles soaring above and cute bunnies romping around the yard. S’mores were enjoyed by all at the fire pit. All photos of this property were completely accurate. Connie, the property manager was excellent. We will definitely stay here again.

Breathtaking

As a VRBO owner we are very aware of the difficulty maintaining a place that feels like home and that meets our standards. The Orca House far exceeded anything we could have imagined. As a “foodie” the kitchen was fabulous and well stocked with all of the comforts of home. The beds were very comfortable and there was an ample supply of linens for both the bedrooms and bathrooms. We really can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay at the Orca House and can’t wait to return!

First Time in Homer

10 family members (3 generations) spent 11 nights at the Orca House. Lower level has 2 bedrooms and a separate game room including a family-favorite ping-pong table. Fantastic! Upper level has the remaining bedrooms and open spacious gathering area with a very well appointed kitchen. The views from the deck (snow capped mountains and seals sunning on the rocks in the bay) can't be beat. We maxed out on Halibut fishing and very much enjoyed the friendly folks and atmosphere of Homer. Orca House is a first rate property in a beautiful location. One note of caution: The nineteen steps to reach the upper main living area can be a challenge for people with mobility issues.

Northern Lights were amazing

I would have never thought about seeing Northern Lights in Homer. But they were all down the bay and over the glacier across the bay. Absolutely the best I’ve seen ever (and I’ve lived in Alaska for 13 years).

Great property for four adult couples. Huge 2nd floor allowed for gathering, dining, card playing etc. Fire pit was great, when it wasn't raining. Beds were very comfortable

Excellent stay

Communication with Connie was excellent from the time we booked all the way through checkout. The property was everything the description said it was, very quiet and the views were amazing, This was the cleanest property I have stayed at, and will make sure anyone asking makes this a first choice if staying in Homer. Thank you Connie and the crew that maintains the property, we had exactly what we were looking for in a VRBO.

This high end newly appointed comfortable home is just the place to relax and make
wonder-filled memories. The Sea is in your front yard filled with whales, otters, and seabirds. The local fishermen are passing in their vessels on the way to the haul out.
The Glacier is glistening across the bay...the View is fabulous. Nicely private.
