Longbow Lodge on the Lake

This classic log-style retreat is our family's home-away, and we are pleased to share it with you. Nestled deep in the heart of the Adirondack Park, surrounded by private and "forever wild" State land, Longbow boasts unparalleled seclusion, while still only a short trip to some of Upstate New York's premier towns and attractions.

*Pontoon Boat available with stay upon request

**Longbow Lodge is committed to being a courteous and respectful neighbor to the other residents of the Lake. As such, we ask all guests to abide by the Shore Owners Association Quiet Hours between 10pm and 7am.

The property is amazing. I recommend ceiling fans or more floor fans in August, especially upstairs. The boat was great and the rocks were excellent for swimming.The kitchen was very well equiped and supplied.

The property is absolutely beautiful and the views are spectacular. It was a great experience and hope to rent again next year. The host, Jim, was very responsive and picked up the phone when I called or texted me back right away.

Stunning lake front property with all you could ask for from cleaning supplies to entertainment. We spent more than we hoped but we gained memories to last a lifetime. Nestled by Saranac (easy for groceries) and Lake Placid and easy distance to Tupper and Whiteface for quick day trips. We traveled with our two autistic young adults who enjoyed having lots of living space and the beauty. Loved hearing the lions at dawn, daytime and nighttime. We hit locations of interest: Saranac: Loon Conservation Center Bitters and Bones Adirondack Carousel Lake Placid: Olympic sites Creperie and Deli Main Street shopping Tupper Lake: The Wilds Wilmington: Whiteface Jim (host) was immediately responsive to any needsHope we go back sometime!

Wonderful stay

We could not have appreciated more James and the house team's work, support and help in a lovely, well-maintained and spotless place in a beautiful, quiet corner of the Adirondacks. We were particularly appreciative of our ability to bring our dogs.

The house was everything we could have imagined. Great location for activities in the Greater Saranac Lake region. The manager, property, and all amenities were perfect. Secluded location on a lake was an excellent get-away!!

Incredible Property, Incredible Hosts

This house is every bit as perfect as the pictures show, and then some. The features and amenities are top-notch. The location and the serenity of the property are unparalleled; it really made for a special family reunion. The host was responsive and personable, provided helpful tips for local attractions and restaurants, and was genuinely committed to my family having an unforgettable experience.

Outstanding

This property is one-of-a kind. Location, amenities, aesthetics, are all over-the-top. Even in the deep of winter it's head and shoulders above anywhere we've ever stayed. Kudos to Jim for being an excellent manager of the property.

Amazing house amazing location

We spent the perfect fall weekend in the property. The house is beautiful and clean, the lake location is just paradise. Service was great and Jim was super nice and responsive. The only but was the kitchen: pots, pans, serving plates, utensils, etc were in need of a serious update.some drawers were broken

A genin Saranac Lake

We have loved this house and the aura of hospitality that fills it. The thoughtful details that bring joy (the flowers, the beautifully set table, the preparation of the fireplace), along with the overall masterpiece—the spectacular architecture of the house and its uncompromising comfort—confirm that the owners are truly generous.And Jim embody these values in a wonderful way. It was a pleasure to renew our friendship with our American neighbors (!)

This home is beautiful. Our 3 generation family loved every minute. Main kitchen has everything needed to toast a muffin, to baking Mac n cheese. The outdoor grill and firepit were very useful. Beds are comfortable. Bathrooms spacious. Property well maintained. It was great walking out on the private dock every morning to fish or swim. Property manager toured us through the house upon our arrival. We were greeted in the kitchen by a pretty vase of flowers. Dining room table was set! Wi-fi worked great. The game room was a huge hit with all is us. An excellent experience one we hope to return to.

Perfect Adirondack Private Getaway

We stayed here with three families, each with two teenage young adults. We came to enjoy post-Christmas getaway and hoped for a winter wonderland. This fit the bill perfectly. The location is private and surrounded by the beauty one hopes to experience when planning a trip to the Adirondacks. It is also close to Whiteface (we spent a day skiing), Lake Placid (we spent a day shopping, ice skating and touring the Olympic facility) and plenty of outdoor adventures in Saranac Lake or The Adirondacks. Jim was always immediately responsive, easy to communicate with and oriented us to the magnificent property efficiently and graciously. The home/lodge is just perfect. Clean, orderly, magnificent. Kitchen is well stocked, the bedrooms are cozy and the we enjoyed relaxing evenings every night by the grand fireplace with plenty of wood to burn for hours and hours. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

Family Christmas Vacation

Our family of 15 (ages 5-71) had a FANTASTIC time at Longbow Lodge. The lodge is Gorgeous and as others have said the pictures don't do justice to the reality of the place. It was very cozy (especially with the lovely Christmas decorations) yet spacious enough that there was plenty of room for privacy. We enjoyed playing games and doing jigsaw puzzles by the fireplace along with making use of the pool table, ping pong table and dart game.The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The lodge is close to Whiteface Mt. Several family members enjoyed skiing for two days. Lake Placid Village is even closer. We enjoyed spending the day there checking out the Olympic Museum, the shops and restaurants. We also went to the Olympic Jumping Comples and took the Skyride Gondala. We were lucky enough to see some ski jumpers practicing. Jim, the manager, could not have been nicer. He was very accomodating and got back to us in a timely manner with answers to any questions we had. Overall we had a very memorable vacation. We would definitely recommend Longbow Lodge to everyone. And we would love to return someday, maybe visit in the summertime. Donna M

The property was beautiful! The house was very clean with fresh flowers on the kitchen island to set the amazing atmosphere. Jim, the host was exceptional ! His communication was immediate and with helpful, caring responses. It was very family friendly with a lovely gathering living room in the heart of the house. The lake access is perfect with a view that is absolutely stunning. We had a wonderful family vacation that we will always remember! Thanks to Jim!
