This charming house has all the amenities to make your get away a magical experience.

If you like to people watch or look at nature, the only thing you need to do is decide if you want to sit in the front of the house or the back of the house.

Beautiful home in the heart of downtown Cambria. Location is central to shops, restaurants, and nature. Has all the amenities you need. A very cute home. The pictures don’t do it justice. Tristan is a great host.

We stayed at the Yellow House for a girls' trip. This was not my first trip in Cambria, but it was my first time staying in town. The Yellow House is great for a small group! It's clean and well-appointed. In addition, Tristan provides a great wealth of suggestions for places to eat, things to do, and where to shop. We tried several new places as a result, and we slept soundly each night. It's a great place to stay!

We've stayed at this house 3 or 4 times. I absolutely love it. It sits up high on the street and I love looking down at the people and the shops. Very quiet, I don't hear any noise from the street. You really have everything you need in the house; coffee, snacks, TP, paper towels, extra blankets etc.... At night it's even more beautiful, especially if the fog comes rolling in from the ocean. You can get every where on foot in the village. Moonstone Beach is down the street and across Hwy 1. You need to walk the boardwalk there, it's beautiful and so peaceful. I definitely plan on returning.

Small Town Charm

Enjoyed lovely 3 night stay in well-equipped, cozy vintage home. Close to great restaurants, antique stores and of course the beach. Host extremely helpful with info to maximize our vacation.

Great stay in town

It was so nice to stay right downtown with so many shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. The home is very comfortable and is well stocked with everything you need. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to Cambria.

The place was clean and seemed well stocked and the host promptly responded to my texts. We did receive a long message re ants on the property asking us to spray each time we left the house and not leave any food outside of the fridge. Having a serious health issue very uncomfortable with all the spraying, we didn’t have any food in the house and we came across scout ants in every room and at least 1 spider in the bedroom. The biggest issue was all but the front bedroom windows are sealed shut, all in the living room/kitchen. It was a very warm week for the area and I guess the house inside was high 80s when we got in. We didn’t check in till 9pm ish. We opened up the front and back door (which has no screen). And it did cool off..,but I was exhausted and wanted to go to bed and was not comfortable leaving doors open (it’s located on the Main busy Street) so ended up staying up late trying to cool the house. My issue was with all the fees that were paid we were asked to strip beds (start the washer didn’t see the message re that one till after we left re doing some laundry) do the floors and counters, empty all trash to the outside. There was a house note about if we wanted to be helpful to change bedding and remake beds/and doing some laundry. We were checking out really early…yikes!

Thank you for taking the time to write the review and I absolutely understand the concerns. Cambria is normally cool. You came during a heat wave which is unfortunate. I absolutely understand the aversion of sprain. I too am not a fan.

Great stay in heart of town

If you like to walk to shops, restaurants, beach, hiking, then this is your place! The house is so charming, and you can sit on the porch and watch passersby. It was a lovely place to stay!!

Absolutely perfect! Highly recommend staying at the Yellow House. My husband and I have been visiting Cambria area for decades and this roomy cottage is our favorite place to stay.

This house was built in 1910, refurbished in 1988, and again in 2020. I call this my rehabilitating retreat. I have always had people living here, mostly family, but I have decided I love it too much not to be able to come to stay whenever I want. I spend half my time here and the other half in LA. Every time I come here, I leave refreshed and renewed. I am not sure if it is the ocean, the pine trees, the sunsets, or the house, but I suspect it is the perfect combination of all that makes this place so special.

I wanted to allow others to enjoy this little soul-refreshing Gem so I have decided to welcome others into my home in the hopes it can wash away some of your day-to-day grunge and replace it with a renewed energy

2020 was spent remodeling and feel I have been able to breathe life back into this old house. She responded well and is ready for new energy from those who visit.

Perché ha scelto questa struttura

This is a historic property and one of the original buildings in Cambria. The same builders who built this property also built the Hearst Castle. Because this house is commercially zoned, it is in the thick of shopping, restaurants, and wine tasting and is close to one of the best restaurants and coffee shop in town.

The view from the porch will remind you that "it IS the pines that make Cambria so special." The ocean is also just a short walk through the woods.

Lastly, if you have dogs, they love it here. Cambria is absolutely a dog-friendly town
