If you come during the summer know that July is considered Monsoon season so parts of the parks may be closed. Also bring a box fan, the A/C may not be able to keep up with the temperature depending on the room you book.

There is no need for a box fan. The rooms do require the intelligence to turn the AC on high

We had a great stay at Ten Bits Ranch. This was our home base for three days as we hiked in Big Bend. The room was clean, comfortable and exactly as described. The views from the porch and the fire pit were incredible. We enjoyed hiking to the apache cave across the street and the views from the cave were impressive. Ten Bits was very quiet. Check in and out was very easy. We would not hesitate to stay here again the next time we visit Big Bend.

This place was truly amazing!! It’s 2 miles off the main road so it’s secluded, but has multiple buildings so you’re not totally in the area alone. Each room is themed and you CANNOT beat the views. The bed was so comfy, the outside seating area was cozy and amazing. I can’t say enough about this place, it was perfect and we will be back!

The views are spectacular! From sunset fires, stargazing, or sunrise with coffee in hand, there’s no time of day you can’t be in awe of the vistas.The kitchen space is a great shared area. Lots of room for individual family units to store cold goods & even with rotating use of the area, no one seemed to be in any one’s way - all guests we encountered were more than happy to coordinate schedules or share stove space.

Special Remote Place

We had a wonderful time at Ten Bits. Everything was nice and comfortable. The views from the room and overall surrounding scenery, especially at sunset, were breathtaking. We also enjoyed the hike to the Apache Cave. Definitely a special and memorable place to stay!

One night in a desert oasis

Great location as long as you enjoy tranquility. The 2 mile dirt road into the property took me back to my childhood growing up in the country and the view from the porch is nothing short of majestic.

Perfect place with amazing views!

Ten Bits is the cutest little community. Our cabin was perfect for the 4 of us. The views from the porch were amazing. We spent every night watching the stars. Love this place. We will be back!

Very quiet location. Evenings are very special.

The road to get out to the location is somewhat rough, but I think better than last year. Love the peace and quiet of the location. The ability to watch the stars at night is great. Peace and quiet.

Getaway

Great place and clean lodging. Enjoyed the view and walking the area. Did not use the communal cooking and dinning area. It would have been nice to have a place to eat inside our cabin. Some outdoor grills around the area to cook a steak or meal would be a welcome addition.

Great Stay!

We had a great stay at the 10 Bits Ranch. Our only issue was with the internet. We could not get a connection during our stay. Otherwise it is a nice place to stay close to Big Bend National Park and Terlingua. Would definitely recommend.

The internet router in the guests room had been unplugged and reset by the prior guest. We did not figure this out until this guest had already completed their stay.

The room was immaculate. Loved the continual communication and extra things to consider about the Big Bend area. Loved the communal kitchen at Ten Bits, with all the amenities that were available 24/7. The decor was gorgeous and fit the western theme, very cozy and inviting. Just like dining with family.

Quiet. as advertised

The road in is bumpy and long, but other than that, nice property. Room was spacious, beds comfortable. Shower could have used a bit more water pressure but we understood that it was off grid. Enjoyed the look of an old western town.

Wonderful again!

This was our 2nd stay at Ten Bits Ranch. This time we stayed in one of the units that were underconstruction during our first visit. Had a perfect unobstructed view of the west and Hen Egg Mountain from our front porch & caught beautiful sunsets and sunrise reflections off the clouds in the west. Highly recommend a stay at Ten Bits Ranch if you are visiting the Big Bend/Terlingua area.

The room was very spacious and comfortable, with a major perk being the presence of a coffee machine and coffee capsules. The dining area was also well-equipped. The downsides were the lack of a soap dish in the bathroom and no storage space for clothes, which meant we had to keep everything in our suitcase on the floor.

Cool place in the middle of nowhere

Check in was simple, as it was all online, with codes sent to my email. The area seemed like a ghost town, with each of the guest buildings representing a different town function (eg blacksmith, bank, jail, etc). Our room was well furnished, the Wi-Fi worked surprisingly well, the outside chairs and fire pit were a great feature to look into the awesome sky at night. The only issue we experienced was we couldn’t get the heat to heat past about 65. The community “cantina” was nice, with enough simple options for breakfast. If I came back, I’d definitely choose this place again. It also would be an awesome place for larger groups to each stay here.
