Cute and cozy two bedroom, one bath in residential area of McFarland near an inlet that connects to the Yahara River and Lake Kegonsa. Situated next to a charming campground & marina in nature. Enjoy fishing off the pier in summer! Grill available for you to use. Lake Kegonsa State Park Trail is nearby for walking or snowshoeing. Just a 20 minute drive to downtown Madison! NO PARTIES. You will be asked to leave if there is any party activity seen. Quaint cottage with two bedrooms, about 800 sq. ft. Main bedroom has a queen bed and a Roku TV (no cable). Small bedroom has two twin beds. Living room has a Roku TV (no cable), as well. The home does not have central air, it has one window AC unit and ceiling fans. Pets are NOT allowed. Smoking is NOT allowed. Only two vehicles are allowed to park in designated spots. Guests have access to entire house. Guests may fish off a section of piers that are walking distance from home. Do not walk on or fish off piers past where the RV trailers begin. Do not walk on campground or campsites as it is private property and I do not own it. The owners will ask you to leave if you are on their property. Ice fishing is not allowed on the inlet. Guests are not allowed to walk on piers in winter months. If you would like to ice skate on the inlet please let me know prior so I can get you a waiver to do so. Do not walk on ice without filling out waiver first. Please do not throw rocks on ice as I make a skating rink.
Additional guests not on reservation must be approved first.

If you would like to bring a boat or other water equipment (kayak, canoe, etc.), it must be approved prior. Boats must be 2000 or newer. Boat must be insured and registered under your name. A boat slip agreement and storage agreement for trailer will need to be filled out. Your boat trailer will count as one of the two vehicles allowed to be here. There will be an additional fee to have your boat in a slip. Dry docking is not allowed.

This house is very strict on loud parties. Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am. Other people live on the property and there are neighbors so please keep voices low and music at a respectful volume.

All forms of smoking are not tolerated. Fireworks not allowed.

Trailers are not allowed on property without specific permission.

Do not hang anything on windows or walls. This includes decorations, wall hangings, etc.

Do not hang, stand, or climb on the railing outside in front of the house.

You do not have access to enter or exit through back door. There is storage in the back for the property.

Please have someone watching the fire at all times and turn off before leaving it. Please do not move fire table.

Copy of government issued ID for each guest may be required to book.

UWM college visit

This property is in a suburb of Madison on a lake only about 15 from UWM campus. It is an easy commute and was nice to have a place to come to and relax after our very busy days of checking out Madison and campus. Jordyn is an excellent host who communicates very well and is very hospitable! The home was clean and so welcoming!!! We had a lovely stay! Thank you! If you don't want to stay in a hotel I would definitely recommend!

Cozy home

We loved our brief stay at Jordyn’s cozy home. It had everything that we expected and a bit more. It was the perfect space for our family of 4. Jordyn’s commitment to communication prior to and during our stay was very helpful and appreciated. I would recommend this home and look forward to considering it again if we come back to this area.

Ironman base camp

We were in the area for Ironman Wisconsin. Jordyn’s place was perfect for the four of us. It was 20 minutes from the race transition area. It was nice and quiet and all the people we met there were super friendly. Jordyn went above and beyond our whole stay. Her place was clean, comfortable and just what we were looking for. There was a full fridge with a freezer, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. There were board games for rainy days. The beds were comfortable with lots of pillows. We had a lovely note and basket waiting for us when we arrived. The patio in front of the cottage was a great place to sit out and read or use the fire table. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Great Stay

This stay was wonderful. We came for the Crossfit Games and it was perfect. A little further out if Maddison than we would've liked, but the price was great and we knew the distance before we booked. No issues calling Ubers out there which was great. House was clean and cool (was worried about that because it was so hot and humid) but we had no issues with that. Jordyn was lovely. Would totally stay again!

Responsive Host

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The owner was very responsive to questions and let us check in early. Other than it rained for 24 hours the second day we were there (owner can't control that) our only disappointment was not being able to watch the Packer opening game day there. The place has Roku and a couple other TV subscriptions but no local stations so we had to go elsewhere to watch the game.
