This house was in an ideal location, so close to the beach, on a quiet street, within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The home was cozy, clean, and as advertised, perfect for a week at the beach with family.

Property was clean and priced appropriately for off season. Was perfect for our family getaway. We were disappointed that there weren’t any surfboards available. They were pictured in the advertisement G Wenger

Thank for the comments and feedback. I'm sorry to hear that the boogie boards were not available for your use. If you had notified me while on site I would have gladly reimbursed you to buy new ones for your vacation use. If you did, drop me a note and we can work out some for of compensation. At the beginning of each rental season we make it a point to stock the cottage with all the amenities as advertised. During the season, things get lost, misplaced or accidentally taken home. Unless tenants notify us that those items were missing we have to assume they are there and in good condition.

The house was in a great locationI feel they need to consider hiring a different cleaning agency By no means it wasn’t nasty but I don’t think it had been cleaned before we arrived Floors needed sweeping and moppedCarpet needs to be cleaned I always travel with Clorox wipes and the kitchen counters when I wiped were dirty I feel we left it cleaner than when we arrived

Thanks for the feedback. It’s always important for us to know how your stay went. If cleaning was improperly done it will be corrected. But to add some clarification…..and based on our 20 years of renting experience Re: the floors and carpeting…..the cleaning you expressed concern about is handled every off season. Shampooing of the carpets, scouring of the kitchen floors and deep cleaning of the grout in the bathrooms. The short time we have between turnover of guests does allow this extensive work. The flooring in the kitchen and baths gets a lot of wear and tear during our season which kicks off off in March. Needless to say…..the house has seen a lot of traffic and varied use by October. We wish we had more time during the year to do the extensive cleaning.

Fantastic home steps to beach. Decks are great. One sunny. One shady. House has everything one would need. Used BBQ a few times. Awesome outdoor shower. Everything close by. Would absolutely stay here again.

Thank you. We had the decks rebuilt about 4 years ago to make them safer and more enjoyable to use. I rebuilt the outdoor shower 6 years ago (I'm a retired remodeling contractor). I wanted to create a more enjoyable experience showering outdoors. Needless to say .....the old outdoor shower (like most) was pretty disgusting.

The property was great as it was pretty centrally located to grocery stores, restaurants and shops. It was a two minute walk to the beach as well. There were a lot of updates to the property and we even got to meet the property owners. He fixed the patio door handle that broke and replaced a light bulb. We would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in OBX.

We had an excellent stay for our five person family! We especially appreciated that the house was well equipped for beach time--beach towels, boogie boards, a beach umbrella we're well used. And we loved the outdoor shower.

Wonderful location to enjoy the Outer Banks! Cozy, comfy & great outdoor space…especially the porch swing! Outdoor shower was amazing…sad we didn’t get to use it as the weather was a bit chilly for swimming!

A charming place with close access to the beach and anything else you could want or need for a beach vacation. Very clean with a well supplied kitchen. Guests may want to bring their own toilet paper or buy some once down there. Host communicated well.

Thanks for the comments and the constructive feedback. Re: the TP...we've chosen to provide it as a short term solution for guests that have just arrived and need to use the restroom immediately. We know how frustrating it can be to need to use a toilet and not have everything you need at hand.

Family Getaway

Clean, close to beach, comfy beds. The cottage had everything a family could need for their stay. It was a great place for our family to getaway for several days!

Extremely nice stay

We rented this house to attend a wedding. It was perfect for us, nicely decorated with all amenities that we needed I would definitely stay there again.
