My out of town family group of 11 stayed here for my wedding during the 4th of July heatwave. Even with record high temps and humidity, the units all stayed cool. It worked very well for our group.

This rental serves our needs for a weekend of football. We were lucky that it was also Apple Festival weekend as the town was full of activities and fun! We had 3 women in the upstairs apt and 3 in the downstairs apt. I would recommend that people with mobility issues secure the downstairs apt, as the steps upstairs are very steep and the final step up into the porch is a tricky step. It rained a little bit and the wet steps added to our fear of going up and down. Also lugging up big luggage was tough. I'm sure if the renters were not in their seventies, like we all are, it wouldnt be an issue.

Also there is a second set of stairs leading to the apartment that are enclosed so no issue with rain, snow or ice.

Great location, spacious house for a large group.

Our large group really enjoyed this house. We loved the convenience of restaurants and bars, and we also had a blast staying in and making dinner. The beds were comfortable, and we had everything we needed. Thanks!

The house was not handicapped friendly, my fault for not checking. Front and back entrances were very hard to use no side rails. All of my families felt unsafe, The bathroom in both unites were very very small. Don’t expect to shower and dress in there. . The place was nice and clean inside and well equipped, the outside yard could have been a little neater and the grass was in need of cutting. It was like 7 or 8 inches long, made it hard to walk around on . The stairs going to the upper unit were in need of repair. Steep and wobbly. The beds were very comfortable, The town is very cute and a lot of good places to eat. Cute place but small.

Great experience at this properyy

The host was very accommodating and very helpful. We highly recommend this house. Southington is an old town with quaint restaurants and coffee shops…we will definitely stay here again when we are in the area. We had a family wedding in Torrington.

Wow! Great place well furnished. Walk to very cool factory with a few shops activities coffee place and micro brew. 5 minutes to downtown and hair of restaurants. The house has two apartments with 3 bedrooms each. Great for family. Nice backyard. Dated but well kept up. And James is incredibly helpful and responsive. Thanks!

The host required a photo of my license the night before check in and I had serious concerns providing it due to obvious identity theft concerns. It was too late to find other lodging for a holiday weekend. If he needed it, he should have required it BEFORE I paid.
