We chose this townhouse because it was big dog friendly, had multiple pools, and was super affordable. My sons aren’t interested in theme parks, only water parks, and this place is less than ten minutes from Island H2O Water Park (which is awesome!). Just outside the resort, there’s a Publix, Target, and plenty of restaurant options. We were on an extended vacation, so we appreciated the close proximity to shopping. Having the washer and dryer was fantastic. I washed our linens immediately just for peace of mind.
The resort is very low-key, has two nice pools, and a pond/lake you can walk the dog around in the evening. It’s not fancy. If you’re looking for razzle dazzle, then you’ll need to pay more and look for a rental with stricter rules. But for us, with two rowdy boys and a dog, it was perfect because we felt no pressure.
We had to contact the manager a few times and he responded almost immediately each time (by email & phone). Everyone we met on the property was friendly and easy going.
The only heads up you’ll need is that the kitchen isn’t exactly stocked for full meal preparation. I had to get creative. Since we were on an extended stay, I just broke down and bought a few things from Target for cooking. The pots & pans in the rental are very battered. Oh! And pick up a pack of solo cups & paper plates/bowls & a bag of ice for the freezer.
We would definitely stay again. It was perfect for our needs - but definitely not for luxury seekers.
