Thank you for staying with us. Steps from the sand and the ocean from the deck are the reason this house exists. We look forward to having you back next year. - LuxStayUSA

Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We're thrilled you enjoyed the space, the ocean views, and had such a smooth experience from check-in to checkout. We'd love to host you again for another memorable Outer Banks stay!

Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted that you enjoyed the property and had the chance to see wild horses and pigs. It's great to hear you loved the pool and beach. Driving on the sand can be an adventure, but we're glad you figured it out. Airing down your tires definitely helps! We hope to welcome you back soon.

Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad to hear that the house worked well for your large group and that you enjoyed the location. We appreciate your honest comments regarding the maintenance needs, and we’re actively working on addressing those issues, including painting, pressure washing, and deck replacement. We’re also looking into the AC situation on the bottom floor to ensure it’s fully functional for future guests. Your feedback is invaluable, and we hope to welcome you back once these improvements are made!

Thank you so much for the thoughtful and kind review! We’re so happy to hear the Mark Twain home was a great fit for your group and that you got to experience the wild horses—that really is such a special part of staying in the 4x4 area. Sounds like you made the most of every moment, from soaking in the ocean views to relaxing in the hot tub. We’d love to welcome you back anytime!

Thank you for your amazing review of your recent stay at Mark Twain! We're thrilled to hear that our home was perfect for your large family reunion and that everyone loved the property and the breathtaking ocean views. We appreciate your feedback and suggestions for future guests. We apologize for any inconvenience regarding the starter packages of toiletries and kitchen supplies. We will work on improving our communication and coordination with the owner to provide a welcome package for guests. Thank you for your recommendation. We're glad to hear that you were able to access our property with a regular SUV with AWD and deflated tires at 15 psi. Our team works hard to provide accurate information to our guests about the necessary vehicle requirements for accessing the property on the beach. We're also pleased to know that you found the drive to the nearest grocery stores and restaurants to be breathtaking and well worth the effort. Our location on the beach does provide a unique and secluded experience, and we're glad you enjoyed it. Once again, thank you for your kind words and suggestions. We're delighted that you had an unforgettable beach vacation with us and we hope to welcome you and your family back to Mark Twain for another wonderful stay next year!

It sounds like you had an incredible experience at the house you booked, despite the last-minute nature of the trip and the initial challenges with the bedrooms and parking passes. It's wonderful to hear that the space was ample for your group and that everyone felt comfortable throughout the stay. The fact that strangers became like family by the end of the week speaks volumes about the atmosphere and experience you all shared. If you decide to return in the future, we hope it's just as memorable and enjoyable! If you have any questions or need assistance with future bookings, feel free to reach out.

I'm so happy to hear that you had an amazing stay at "The Mark Twain" in Outer Banks! It sounds like the property had everything you could ask for in a beach vacation rental, from the modern amenities to the classic feel of the Outer Banks. It's great to hear that the 18 bedrooms provided plenty of space for your large family gathering, and that the gourmet kitchen was well-equipped for all your cooking needs. The reverse osmosis water system is a nice touch that helps to reduce waste and make the property more environmentally friendly. The indoor lounges with the various entertainment options sound like a great place to relax and spend time together, and the private pool, hot tub, and pool house with a bar are definitely luxurious amenities that would be a big hit with any group. The private access to the beach via the elevated boardwalk and the opportunity to see the wild horses are also unique features that make "The Mark Twain" stand out as a special vacation rental property. I'm glad to hear that the reservation process was seamless and that the property management team was helpful and responsive during your stay. It's always great to have a positive experience with a vacation rental property and management team. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and recommendation. I hope you have the opportunity to come back and create more cherished beach vacation memories at "The Mark Twain" in the future!

Thank you for sharing your insights on the 4x4 wheel area, Lori. While it may seem daunting to some guests, it's great to hear that all you need is a regular SUV with AWD and to take air pressure out to 15psi and drive around 10-20 miles/hour based on traffic. It sounds like a beautiful and unique experience to drive on the sand and enjoy the surroundings. Getting groceries and restaurants may require a 4.5-mile/ 15–20-minute drive, but in exchange for this effort, you get to enjoy one of the most beautiful and unique opportunities to stay at The Mark Twain, which is different than 99% of other beaches. Thank you for sharing your tips and insights, and we hope they will be helpful to future guests looking to experience "The Mark Twain" in Outer Banks. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future.

It sounds like you had a good experience overall at the Mark Twain despite a few issues. It's great to hear that the property manager was able to resolve the problems and make your stay a positive one. It's always good to hear that guests would like to return in the future!
