We had a great visit at Elk Mountain Lodge. The cabin is fantastic and the scenery unbeatable. There are bears on this mountain so visitors need to be alert when driving and walking around the property. We had a couple sightings without consequences and were grateful to see the wildlife, but you want to stay alert and not have food accessible. Overall, this is a great property and we had wonderful stay!

We met dear friends for a reunion for a few days and this was the perfect property for that. The weather was fantastic, sitting on the deck together sharing stories, sharing meals at "1 table for 10 adults"!! (We loved that).The views were wonderful!! It was great, we all would recommend this clean, comfy, and peaceful property!

Elk Mountain Lodge struck the ideal balance between "off-the-grid" serenity and modern comfort. Morning coffee on the deck with the panoramic views was definitely one of the highlights.

The house was beautiful, clean, well stocked, and fit our needs perfectly. The owner was very communicative and accommodating of our last-minute early check-in request when the airline moved our flight up. The only reason for 4 stars is that the grill and picnic table in the porch were in disrepair and unusable, but they could be easily replaced.

We had a great time staying at the Elk Mountain Lodge! Every room was clean and spacious for our group. The house had a great view and was near trails to hike. We would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed staying at this property. The house is beautiful, and the scenic views of the mountain were amazing. We had eight guests, slept comfortably, and enjoyed the hot tub and fabulous kitchen. Every person in our group raved about coming to stay again.

We loved Elk Mountain Lodge! The house is beautiful, very clean and extremely comfortable. All of the bedrooms are spacious. The bathrooms are very nice and well appointed. The kitchen is pretty and also well equipped. One of the special treats is the upstairs deck which overlooks the Blue Ridge Mountains. The view is spectacular! We spent much time there relaxing and grilling on the brand new grill. We also had the luck of viewing the most gorgeous rainbow after a short rain storm. It was magical! We also had the excitement of watching two bears explore the woods next door. The hosts and Brandon, the property manager, were amazing. We had a couple of issues at the beginning of our visit but Brandon was “on it” and took care of everything promptly and diligently….even with a very sick one-year old daughter for whom he was caring.This is a wonderful house and we look forward to returning. We have actually referred the property to some good friends who are interested!Thank you to Elk Mountain Lodge…a 5-star property! Until next time!

We had 11 adults in our party and the house was perfect for that. Enough space for alone time and family time. The home is about a 15 minute winding mountain road from civilization, which was perfect as a getaway.

Beautiful lodge

Our group of 10 loved our stay and would return again. Large space with cabin vibes, beautiful nature views, and a quick 20 minute drive to shops and restaurants. The hosts were very responsive, friendly, and accommodating.

Enjoyable stay

Very nice home, especially for families. Very clean and decently stocked. Roads here are tough and driveway very steep, but that's Asheville! We enjoyed the hot tub and the views!
