This was a fun and as described “eclectic” place. We enjoyed the getaway to an unusual but refreshing place filled with lots of cool trails, amenities, off the wall things to do like a movie room, disco barn, campground area and waterfall. The house/land are like a mini vaca in its own and the owners were very helpful and responsive. Our family highly recommends this property. Go an experience Red River Gorge and make this good location a part of your journey!

The house was just as the pictures show; clean, spacious and very cute! The host was very quick to always respond with any questions we had and the check in process was super easy. The trails were very overgrown so we were not able to really find the areas the pictures show but we enjoyed coffee and family time on the porch!

We enjoyed our stay at Shasta Valley. It has a nice large kitchen that is well stocked for cooking your own meals. The bed we slept in was comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the large porches, it was very peaceful and quiet. The owner was very responsive. Great wifi, no issues there. We would stay here again. We were surprised by the pet fee as that was not in the listing.

The property was beautiful! The trails were great and the clearing with the outdoor kitchen was really cool. My 8yr old loved playing in the creek and catching lightening bugs! The host was great and responded promptly to a couple questions we had. The house was clean and well stocked. The only minor downside was hearing traffic. Not enough to impact our stay and would absolutely stay here again. One of the bad reviews I read was about a smell in the house. It’s an old farmhouse but it is in good repair and very clean. The smell mentioned is just the smell of an old country home (like my Grandma’s) not something wrong with the place. I highly recommend!!

Great location, lots to do on the property. Very peaceful area. We really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen; has lots of itens you need to enjoy a meal outdoors. We loved all the game options supplied for guests. Very family friendly. Would recommend a great for guests to use if they want to cook over a fire.

Fun getaway

Very comfortable, had everything you could possibly need, dogs loved it, fun hiking on property and close enough to Red River Gorge. Would definitely go again

Amazing experience!

This property is beautiful! The owners were very quick with almost instant responses and had everything stocked in the home that you could need. Very nice location for all the Red River Gorge has to offer. I would very much recommend a stay here!

Good clean house and the owner was very very accommodating. The property itself allows time to just stay at the house and explore/rest. This is a great place to disconnect from technology (even though the owner provides great WiFi) and to just rest. Just a short drive away there is the red river gorge area. This is a huge park to explore with some easier hikes to some more difficult ones, plus some neat restaurants and gift shops. I’d love to get back to this property at some point.

Fun, quirky little place, perfect for our family of 5! Kitchen has everything you need for meals. My kids enjoyed the games, Alexa and watercolor paints. Outside is amazing- you have to hike up the trail to get to the “outside kitchen”- but it’s a beautiful little hike. We could hear the waterfall from our bedroom!

Everything was immaculate and our stay was so peaceful and relaxing. If you want peace and quiet, this is the place to go. There is so much room and the property is very well-cared for. We very much enjoyed taking a walk around the property. There is an incline on the way to the waterfall area, which isn't extreme, but will be easier to navigate with some traction on your shoes. If you do, you are rewarded with a truly beautiful and tranquil space to sit and listen to the water. I really didn't want to leave!The tub in the master bath is gigantic and excellent for relaxing with a good book! The kitchen is also very well stocked as well. You have your pick of places to sleep, and the beds are cozy. Our host was so kind and helpful as well, which definitely made the stay feel even more relaxing. I would absolutely love to come back to Shasta Valley again! Highly, highly recommend! :)

Relaxing and Comfortable

We spent most of our time visiting at the rental. We took two hikes and enjoyed the property---beautiful rock formations and nice hilltop veiws. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant.
