Perfect for a family vacation!

Plenty of space for my family to stay! We visited Cedar Point and Put in Bay while we were there and a private beach is a quick walk to get to.

Wonderful Location

Great house for a family! Close access to a private beach, and all the beach toys/bikes/gear you could ever need. We had a wonderful time and the manager was extremely responsive and helpful.

Last minute family trip

We had a great time at the rental for a last minute family vacation. Short walk to the beach, which was clean and sandy. Great for little kids and bigger kids too. Plenty of ice cream places in town. Game room in the basement was a hit.

Excellent management and room

Ton of room to spread out and gather. Management was very responsive and helpful. Basement was great for the kids. Would love more outdoor seating and a firepit would make the house perfect !

Amazing House and Host!!!

Marcy is an amazing host and you will be lucky to stay at any of her properties! Old Homestead II is a great location and perfect for families all the extra touches make this the perfect home to bring children. The layout, backyard and short walk to the beach makes life so easy. Marcy was on right away answering and questions we had and questions we hadn't even thought of. Your welcome packet is amazing and you will feel right at home at reading. You will love staying here!

My family and I loved our stay here. The private beach was close by and the water was beautiful. We had watched the sunrise a couple of mornings. We were close to Cedar Point which was our main reason to visit. We left to take a break to go swimming and then back to the park again later. It was perfect! The fire pit in the back was a big hit to do s’mores on. The kids enjoyed the game room. House was stocked with everything we needed. Having the beach chairs and bikes was a big hit for days at the lake! Stores were close by for groceries etc. Marcy was a great host, she was available for any questions and makes sure the house is in order. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Great house in a perfect location!

Where do I begin? From the minute we made our reservation Marcy was in contact with us, responding quickly to email questions, and sending us details about the house. She even stopped by to greet us when we arrived! She was wonderful to interact with whenever we had a question. The house was great: comfortable furniture and beds, bathroom amenities, pack ‘n play and highchair for our grandchildren, toys and games, smart TVs, beach supplies, coffee bar, great back yard - I could go on and on; we really had everything we needed. Our only request would be for more privacy for the downstairs bathroom, especially with a lot of people in the house; but that wouldn’t keep us from staying here again. The location couldn’t be better. Literally 2 level blocks from a lovely private beach, with swings, picnic tables and benches. The walk is short enough that we could easily go more than once a day. Thank you, Marcy, for sharing your lovely home. We hope to return.

Family Vacay

Marcy was an excellent hostess, replying quickly whenever we had a question. The house and yard were perfect for our week long, 3 generation gathering. We loved the quiet neighborhood and the private beach.

Great for a family of 6 to 8

Super clean and easy in + out. Great spaces in the kitchen and basement for a whole family to play games and spend time together. The private beach is a short walk away and very cleaned + well maintained. The neighborhood around this property is pleasant for a walk or jog, and is less than 15 minutes drive to Cedar Point.

Best ever VRBO experience

We’ve been using VRBO for over 20 years and Marcy is hands down the best host we’ve ever dealt with. I can’t recommend her and her properties highly enough!

A Great Experience

Most importantly, this property was extremely clean, inside & out. Had a large back yard with games to play & it was a short walk to the private beach. And if you’re there for a baseball tournament, as we were, it’s a short drive to Sports Force Park. Also, the host was wonderful to deal with.

Family vacation

We have a large family of 9 and this home easily accommodated us. The home was clean, cozy, and in a great neighborhood that is located two blocks from the beach. We loved everything about our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Huron, Ohio.

Amazing home!

This past weekend was amazing and the home was exceptional. The neighborhood was very nice and the neighbors were extremely friendly! My family loved the home and we'll definitely book another stay in the near future! 10/10!

The best host I’ve ever stayed with!

We were in need of nothing. Beds super comfortable, plenty of pillows. Little details like Plenty of towels, wonderful coffee bar! The downstairs was perfect! Kids had lots to do and had their own space. We didn’t need a stroller or high chair but I was impressed that they had it!! This host goes above and beyond! Easily accessible. We had a hard time with using the pad. (Also could of been my daughter hitting too many numbers, lol) I called and second ring she answered and immediately was able to fix the issue from where she was. We were inside in minutes. I will definitely stay here again! 5 Stars!! 10 Stars if I could!

Perfect family getaway :)

We decided to celebrate our anniversary with our kids this year and wanted a cozy place close to Lake Erie. This place met all of our expectations! It is family friendly (lots of games and amenities to keep them entertained), beautifully decorated, comfortable and a short walk to an amazing private beach. We were very close to a grocery store and lovely restaurants as well. Highly recommend this vacation home! We are already looking forward to staying again soon! :)

Great Lake house close to Private Beach

We had a great weekend at the private beach, which was only 2 short blocks away. The beach was awsome with few people there wich was great the days we showed up late and found a spot right away.The owner was easy to communicate with with a great personality. Loved the neigborhood with its own park and quiet streets. We will be renting here again!!!

Beautiful house near the lake and Cedar Point

The house is beautiful. The host was great. She was in contact with us right away to see if we needed anything. She had signs in the house that were very helpful and a book about the home and the area. The house was very clean. We had plenty of towels, dishes, utensils. All the games kept our boys occupied. We stayed so we could go to Cedar Point, it was very close, about a 15 minute drive away. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

Great place

We wanted to find a place while we went to Cedar Point and this place was perfect. Perfect location. Added bonus that there was a private beach in the neighborhood. Marcy was also so sweet and very responsive. 5 stars!
