This property is the perfect place for a relaxing weekend away. Still close enough to town to where you can go grab food or entertainment but secluded enough to enjoy a nice break! It’s so beautiful with some pretty nice views. We fished and made some memories on the back porch! Definitely one we will save and hopefully book again!

The only thing missing was there is no Wi-Fi, and the reception is spotty for phone data. If Wi-Fi was available, the password and username wasn't made available

Great experience with beautiful view

This was a wonderful place with a fantastic view and all accessories needed to be very comfortable. I would choose this again when I am in the area.

Lakeside getaway

A nice little lake house for our trip to Auburn for our son's graduation. Peaceful country setting with some exotic wildlife for us New Englanders (we spotted an armadillo!) - pack your binoculars for bird watching and some fishing gear. House was clean and neat and communication with the host was quick.

House on the lake

Absolutely beautiful!!! Thoroughly enjoyed or stay!!! The porch looking out over the lake is amazing!!! Host is very prompt at returning messages and seeing of you need anything!!

Quick stay for a family wedding

We were just in for the weekend and spent very little time at the property all told, but the stay was great. There were a few things that were a little dated, but definitely what I think you'd expect from a country vacation rental. We really appreciated the stay on a busy Auburn home game weekend!

Family Weekend

This house was as advertised. It was very clean upon arrival. The porch overlooking the pond is a great place to relax. Our Verizon cell phone service worked fine there.

Cabin with a veiw

What a wonderful little hideaway. No internet which frustrated the younger generation but, most of us relished the peaceful environment. Less squeaky beds would be great but overall we really enjoyed our time.

Football weekend house needs a few upgrades

My family and a friend stayed with us for the weekend. The lake and property was beautiful and the back porch was great. The bed mattresses all definitely need to be replaced, as they were very plastic/crunchy and squeaky with every move. The living room was huge and comfortable, although it was frustrating to not be able to watch football on the tv without cable and without any internet. We had to try to watch a game on our phone, which didn't work very well without a good signal. The showers and toilets were not very clean, and I actually had to clean the windows so we could see the beautiful lake. It looked like somebody had tried to clean them with a dirty towel. We actually found dirty towels in the kitchen cabinet, and I sprayed bleach in the bottom of the guest shower before my family used it. The shower in the master bathroom had either scalding hot water, or cool water. It was hard to get a warm in between. I don't want anyone to get burned. We were surprised to find that the beds were made without the top sheets on them. We found one top sheet in the closet. If a few of these things would be fixed, it would be great, and we would stay there again because it was quaint and beautiful property. It was also a great size. It was further from Auburn than we expected in order to drive in for a football game though.

You pay for the view

The view of the pond is exactly what you are paying for to stay here, it is gorgeous all day and very relaxing. The fishing was fantastic and if you have a blow up raft or own a kayak I highly suggest bringing those along. For the most part the house was clean except under the beds and the couches, it looked like those areas had not been touched in a very long time. There was a layer of dust, crumbs, hair, and clothes left behind under the beds as well as both couches.The front toilet had a leak and when I contacted the host about the issue the response I got back was “how bad” then nothing after that. We had to use towels to keep the water from puddling on the floor. The beds squeak every single time you move, you are basically sleeping on plastic and there really isn’t a way to have 8 people sleep here unless you bring an air mattress for the 8th person. We had a random car drive up on the “private driveway” thankfully the man was very nice and explained he has the owners permission to come there and fish, we had young kids with us and it made us feel very uncomfortable to have a stranger just show up. We had no idea we could close the gate considering there is a rv parked not far from the house, we thought it might have been a shared driveway. The host did not get back to me after I messaged her about the toilet leak, the stranger coming on the property, and the paper wasp nest that was on the back patio. Beautiful view just not very comfortable.

Hello! When I entered the house after check out there was trash in the kitchen all over the counters, dirty baby diapers under the beds. We clean and move beds after every guest. The toilet wasn't never leaking. I'm confused on what changed your mind on the bad review when I asked you the day after you checked in if everything was going OK and your words was "Everything is perfect We love it here" I messaged you right back about toilet leaking and asked is it leaking alot! I also responded with I live across the street are you guys there I can come fix it right away, no response! Someone staying during your stay put a hole in the master bedroom wall. No big deal it can be fixed. I hope next time you book with vrbo you have a better experience!

Love it!!

My sister is in the military and she’s leaving to German in a few weeks. We book this house for thanksgiving weekend and it was perfect place to stay, my toddler loved this place and my little brother too he’s 12. The only thing I wish they had is WIFI.

Peaceful lake retreat

We greatly enjoyed relaxing on the porch swing and looking at the lake. The property is very private. The house was clean and just as pictured. Communication with the owner was great. We came for a wedding in Auburn. Thank you Kristen for an amazing visit to Alabama!

Penn State vs Auburn

The setting with the lake is pure serenity! Easy drive without traffic to the game at Auburn. I highly recommend this little slice of heaven!!!

Beautiful property and house. Close to Fort Benning, which was great. Our family had a great time on our visit. The only downfall was no wifi.

This lake house was an AWESOME place to stay!

As we turned onto the driveway that led to the house, the view was AWESOME! The residence was clean inside and out especially near the lake! It was a perfect size for the 5 of us! I will most definitely be coming back, bringing my mom and dad to enjoy a home away from home mini vacation! Dont let me forget about the fishing that we done! We caught fish from sun up to sun down! This was the best mini vacation that we have had in a while! We done absolutely NOTHING except fish and made some unforgettable memories! #HeflinAlabama💕

Quite and secluded

Property is located several hundred feet from major road and is very relaxing. Beautiful setting with large private lake nearby. Large, nice, older home that has been remodeled. Host was very good to work with......Would definitely stay here again.

Family Retreat

From the front drive way decorations to the cleanliness of the property/house( pumpkins,scarecrows, haybales) this was AMAZING!!! My husband and I fell in love with the house/location when we first walked in. I love the big covered porch for drinking coffee in the mornings. My daughter and her boyfriend enjoyed the pond. (nice touch leaving the fishing gear)We didnt want to leave. We will be back for sure!!!
