Myself, husband, and 3 family members stayed one night in Anchorage before our cruise. We will definitely stay here if we visit Anchorage again. The host was great with reaching out on the day of our arrival and staying in touch to make sure we didnt need anything during our stay. We live in a small town and I'm a worrier when staying in unfamiliar areas. I had no safety concerns during our stay. My brother a ndhusband took a walk to town in the morning

Not sure there is a better view in Anchorage. It’s also centrally located, we walked to dinner one evening. Most city locations were a 5-10 drive. The house is thoughtfully stocked with things you wouldn’t even think of, and it has so much character. Owner is very nice and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone and would stay again

Super convenient (walking distance) to downtown, great views of the water to relax and enjoy. Host Veronica looked out for us. Highly recommend!

A glimpse into mid century Anchorages past. A wonderful property in one of anchorages oldest neighborhoods. We loved our stay. Nothing but positives to report.

What a unique and wonderful home! It had everything we could’ve needed during our trip. The home was very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed our stay and we didn’t want to leave! Veronica was responsive and was happy to accommodate us when we arrived a bit earlier than expected. Thank you, Veronica, for having us.

Great location in a classic 1950s vibe house with million dollar views. Perfect for a family to stay with parks and recreation near by. I had the pleasure of going to some great restaurants less than a mile away too. Lastly there were fresh raspberries in the yard to add to your meals. I would love to stay here again in the future. Mahalo

Perfect Intro to Alaska

As a long-time Alaskan, I convinced several other couples to join in an Alaska RV trip. I thought a few days in Anchorage was a great way to start. This home located on the edge of downtown overlooking Cook Inlet proved ideal allowing each couple and groups to easily walk to downtown shops, restaurants and museums. The Alaska railroad was only a couple hundred feet away. The multi colored passenger trains and cargo trains were fun to watch, and were surprisingly quiet. The BBQ patio area added another level of enjoyment. We rented the entire house. Built in the 1950s, the house itself was a time capsule having original glass ceiling light covers and other mid-modern features. Even the furniture continued the theme. We so enjoyed sitting in the living room with the view. The owner was fabulous. She communicated with me often over the few months prior to our trip and offered us the downstairs unit first after it's remodeling was completed. She allowed us to drop off piles of luggage several hours early and leave luggage there late while we were delayed in getting our rental RVs. This home is perfect for large groups. My group of Lower 48 friends agreed it was the perfect way to start our adventure.

Cozy slice of heaven

The stay was amazing. Veronica was the quintessential host. Beds were cozy, amenities were plentiful and the overall arrangement was a home experience I had hoped for with my family.

Great location, views and accommodations.

A lovely place with some of the best views in Alaska. Hostess was available anytime it was needed and we had anything and everything we required or wanted . Highly recommended.

Great location and perfect layout for a big group!

We enjoyed being right on the Coastal Trail. Watching sunrise on the mountains and water was a delight each morning. The layout was perfect for us and the living room was a great gathering spot for family games!
