Hi Alissa, Sorry to hear about your stay. You messaged us immediately telling us you would not be staying and wanted a refund. As we informed you immediately there was no missing key and the lock box had just been left open on accident, as the other portion of our instructions said use the key pad to open the door. The lock box was an old back up solution we used years ago incase the lockbox battery died. Key was removed over a year ago. We have since removed the lockbox mention on the check in-instructions so no one else becomes confused or scared. I had two cleaners and my neighbor visit the house before and after your stay. All three said there was no smell they could detect, so I am sorry we were not able to verify what you were claiming. Had you given us any notice, we could have had one of these people visit while you were there so you could show them what you were talking about, but you left before we had a chance to do that. You then told VRBO employees that I had agreed to give you a refund which was not true. We continued to respond to you, I said I would work with you to try and resolve this and you proceeded to write this review. If we could verify anything you had claimed we would be more understanding and would have certainly provided a refund.
