Very responsive host. We stayed during Isais and lost power twice. Found mouse issues on arrival. They paid for breakfast and sent cleaners while we were out. Great for kids and the puppy. Appreciated wine, s’mores, firewood, and drum for campfires. Road in is very steep. And beds were too tall for my mom to get in. But plenty of space for everyone, close to town, and a beautiful deck to enjoy in dry weather.

The home is beautiful and the scenery was spectacular. I could have sworn that each morning we looked out off the deck and the colors were changing daily. The acorns were dropping and it was fun to hear and see them bouncing on the deck. Even when it rained the deck was a wonderful place to sit and visit and share meals. The kitchen was well stocked and even supplied for s’mores. The bathrooms and kitchen had provisions that we have often had to bring for ourselves in our other travels. Communication with the host was always quick and helpful. The shopping in Clayton and Dillard was delightful and the book store in Highlands was a treasure trove! We celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas with friends we won’t see until next year and it was so cozy and festive in the environment of this warm retreat.

There were helpful books about the area! We enjoyed coffee on the expansive deck every morning and then the spectacular sunsets there are amazing!Gigantic bathrooms for each bedroom with King sized beds with luxurious sheets!

Convenient to everything

Enjoyed our time in town trying fabulous restaurants and our evenings at the house on the deck with a nightcap looking at the stars…what a view!

Up on the mountain

Our stay at this house was nothing short of tranquility. Few minutes down the road from downtown highlands, a gated neighborhood, secluded escape.

What a lovely home! The views were spectacular and the location was perfect. I rented the house for my annual college roommate reunion, and it was exactly what we were looking for -- a mountain feel with a closeness to town. The property was exactly as pictured and described. We had a small issue at check-in, but Jennifer was extremely responsive and got it taken care of very quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend this property.

Perfect Getaway

This house was the perfect retreat for our friends in family on fall break. They small treats stocked in the home for us prior to our arrival was a wonderful personal touch. We will definitely book here again.

Beautiful house and perfect setting for a relaxing getaway weekend.

House is well stocked for every need. Artwork is interesting and adds a lot to the ambiance of the stay. Hospitality details made us feel most welcome and created an unexpected delight.
