This was the perfect spot for our family moving our son into his UNCW dorm. The locking garage was a selling feature but the place was great aside of that. It’s a cute neighborhood, walkable to downtown while still having all the comforts of home. I wound definitely stay here again!

This townhome has everything one needs, a definite home away from home. It is also spacious. It is a very short walk to downtown Wilmington and the neighborhood is very quiet. Within a 5 minute walk is a lovely coffee shop that has amazing donuts and a great lunch spot. The garage fits 2 cars which was great since we had 2 cars on this trip. Also, the hosts are very timely with any questions you may have. I would highly recommend this townhome!

There was an issue with the garage door code that made check-in difficult, but Gail and Chris came to help and solved the problem. They were great. The place is gorgeous and walkable to anything downtown. We loved it! We will stay again!

The property was great. Super clean, well equipped and in a good location for us. The host is very responsive and even gave us some tips on places to eat (which were fabulous). I highly recommend this property.

Great cabin, wonderful view, very impressive all around

The property was beautiful and the view was awesome. We enjoyed the grill and hot tub. This place was well stocked with amenities, and would be a great get away for families. Maggie Valley is a very good location- we enjoyed a winding drive through the beautiful Pisgah Forest to Brevard.

Relaxing mountain getaway with amazing views

We had a wonderful stay at the hootie owl. The property was clean, comfortable, and had the most amazing views. We really enjoyed relaxing on the porch in the rockers and hot tub. There was ample firewood for the cool evenings and everything we needed to cook a nice quiet meal at home. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Private Retreat

The cabin is beautiful and true to what is pictured. It was private and quiet, and the view did not disappoint. Gail was easily accessible and quick to respond. It's a terrific location, too. There are lots of options for hiking and scenic drives. It's also close to a variety of places to shop and eat. Would absolutely stay again!

Wonderful

What a pretty "cabin"! It had everything we could possibly need and thoughtful touches we really appreciated. Loved the location of 40 minutes to Biltmore, middle of Smokies, 10 minites to Blue Ridge Parkway and Great Smokey Mountains National Park, and drive to Dollywood etc. Perfect!

Wonderful Long weekend!

The cabin was beautiful! The view was the best we have ever seen from rental! Extremely clean! A 5 Star experience! We will definitely return! Definitely up a steep climb for driving! Bring some pots and pans if you plan on cooking!

Restful getaway

The cabin is beautifully situated and just as described. Well appointed with very little left to chance! The homeowner was available for any and all questions. We truly enjoyed our stay. As with other reviews, the drive up to the cabin is not for the faint of heart, but once we did it a couple of times we were fine! Very restful and peaceful with stunning views.

Hootie owl cabin

This property was fantastic. Everything was as listed. The kitchen was well stocked with new items. The road up the mountain was a bit steep, but we had no problems going up or down. The cabin location was perfect for going to Bryson City, Cherokee, Asheville, and Brevard as well as into GSMNP. The view was great, the hot tub was hot. It was everything we wanted in a cabin for our weekly stay.

Will book again!

Went for a weekend getaway and we absolutely loved everything about the cabin! My 3 year old son was in absolute awe of seeing the view! The cabin was perfect for him, nothing breakable on his level! He loved the loft and playing up there! The host promptly replied to us as well! 10/10 stay!

This is our second year in a row staying at this fantastic log cabin. Everything in the description is accurate. Gail and Chris were a pleasure to work with. They responded to our emails within minutes! The cabin is super clean and well stocked. We'll be back again since it's the best cabin in Maggie Valley.

This is the cabin you want

If you’re scrolling through VRBO Maggie Valley cabins trying find the perfect one, STOP. This the cabin you want to rent! The cabin was very well appointed, decorated beautifully, and the views were spectacular. The photos and disciplining in the listing is 100% spot on. My wife and I have stayed at several Maggie Valley cabins over the years. Hottie Owl cabin is the only one that we’ll consider when we return next year and the years to come.

Fireworks in the Valley

Hootie Owl House is a beautiful home that was immaculate. The view of Maggie Valley is beautiful, especially looking down on the fireworks on 4th of July. Our family enjoyed the grill, outside dining table, rocking chairs and hot tub on the porch over looking the mountains. Communincation with Gail, the owner, was easy, clear and immediate. We would love to stay again.

Dog Friendly, Cozy Cabin, Breathtaking Views with Gorgeous Sunsets!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hootie Owl House! We spent a week hiking around, exploring the area with our dogs and kids. The cabin had everything we needed. There is a great fireplace, and the reclining couches in the great room are very comfy. We enjoyed rocking on the porch watching the sun set over the mountains. The drive to the cabin was not difficult in summer. We had a AWD minivan that had no trouble getting there. All in all, we had a wonderful stay! Hope to be back!

Mountain Retreat

We enjoyed our week in Maggy Valley in the Hootie Owl House. The cabin was clean and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed to buy groceries and make meals at home. The drive up was scary the first time, but after that we just took it slow and had no issues. My son and husband enjoyed the hot tub and making fires. We went tubing at Tube World down in town and ate pizza and Italian at Frankie’s on NYE.

Cozy perfection

This was such an amazing place to hide away and spend some quality time with each other for our 18th anniversary. This cabin was so cozy, provided comfortable furnishings, and was in the most beautiful location. There wasn't anything more we could have asked for and we will definitely return again on another trip up to the mountains. We got a little turned around on our way up the first day getting there. The hosts answered our call right away and walked us through our mistaken turn. This place definitely deserves its 5 star rating!

Top 5 private cabin

We rent a cabin in the Maggie Valley area 2 or 3 times a year and I can say this cabin was amazing! In fact, we rated it in our top 5 overall favorite cabins since we started coming up in 2015! There are so many great things about this cabin. We really enjoyed the privacy and view. We really found it relaxing without all the noise and distractions. We also really appreciated that they emptied and cleaned the hot tub right before we got there. Really the entire cabin was extremely clean. I’d really like to comment on whether the host was helpful but I don’t know because everything was so well set up that I never contacted them! We will definitely be booking this cabin again!
