Beautiful view of the water. Feels away from civilization but is literally 5 minutes from the local safeway and other places. Beautiful yard and home. Nice bedding and comfortable beds. We loved the kitchen. The daybed in the playroom is an actual twin size bed so a good option for school age kids. They even provide bodywash and shampoo/conditioner. Beware they will ask for a background and credit check prior to approving the booking. Not bad, not good, just different from other bookings I've made. They've probably encountered some rude and disrespectful renters that caused this policy so I can't blame them.

The home was spacious and comfortable and the property manager responded quickly to help with an issue with the tv. We loved looking at the beautiful water views. We really enjoyed our stay.

This is a very nice house for a great price. Three bedrooms and three baths, nice back yard with a view of the harbor, very private and comfortable. I wished I had my dog with me so he could have enjoyed the big fenced yard. Nice views from the bedrooms, too. I could not figure out the entry system and was able to reach a rep immediately who walked me through what I was doing wrong. Totally, user error, but I was so glad to reach a human so quickly. I should have given this five stars but there were a couple of things so tiny they are not worthy of discussion in the review. I have given these suggestions to the owner. Definitely worth a second look!

I brought a team over to work on floor covering for Boys and Girls Club in Oak Harbor and was hoping to find a quiet and peaceful place for my crew to stay... This place was absolutely awesome!! Clean, Spacious, and as peaceful of a property as we could ever have hoped for!! We ended up staying for 3 of the 4 week job duration!! I would recommend this home to virtually Any group in need of lodging!!Thanks So much for making our work trip so comfortable!!

This was the perfect place for my two sisters and me to stay for a short trip to Whidbey Island! It was convenient to Oak Harbor and very comfortable with everthing we needed. Would definitely stay again!

This house was a great location with stunning views of the Harbor. The kitchen pots & pans could use updating, but there are plenty of fantastic places to eat on the Island, so if you don't cook, it's no problem. Beds were comfortable & the house is clean. I would stay here again.

Our stay was wonderful. House was clean and spacious. View was fantastic. Kitchen provided everything we needed to create family dinner. We were very pleased with our stay at the Balda Getaway. I would absolutely stay here again.

Incredible Family Stay

The property was clean, family friendly, and well appointed. The kids playroom was such a bonus, and the views made morning coffee a delight.

Great place to stay

We had a wonderful time staying in this house.(3 adults and a doggy) The house was amazing and so clean. Property manager was responsive and kind when we reached out. We hope go back soon!

The house was beautiful and super clean! Very easy to communicate with the property manager and they were very sweet and accommodating. Very close to town and has privacy. Would definitely stay here again and recommend

At first glance we were really excited. Great location, great view, wide open kitchen and living area. Arrived about 5pm started putting things away in the kitchen and started seeing roaches. Kristeen was very helpful but couldn’t find anything else for us. Spent two more nights in 3 hotel rooms.

Stunning View

This is a large, spacious home with an incredible view of the Puget Sound. The host provided a nice coffee station in the kitchen. There are nice showers with good water pressure. The house is quiet and located not too far from town. It was a good "home base" for us while we explored the island.

We fully enjoyed our time here! Stunning views and comfortable space for 7 adults. (Which is hard to find). Such kind hosts - prompt in responding and so thorough!

Great house and location. Very comfortable, the only issues was the lack of pot and pans. With that being said we would stiill stay here again

The kitchen has nice appliances and a lot of room. The house was very clean and comfortable, with enough towels/blankets and a decent selection of kitchen implements for a short term rental. Our dogs enjoyed the yard and spacious rooms. The bathtub and shower are very spacious and 2 1/2 bathrooms made things a lot easier for our family.If I had suggestions for the host, maybe add an additional chair to the living room and get a stainless steel skillet instead of nonstick to stand up to the demands of short term guests :). Lovely stay, lovely property overall, made our vacation comfortable and restful.

Very roomy and more space than expected. Could have used more chairs in living room and pans that weren’t scratched. Otherwise we were very comfortable and enjoyed the view.
