Great stay at the Ponderosa Chalet with our 2 adult children. The table was the perfect size for game night, and the pool table and ping pong tables were lots of fun. Hubby enjoyed the hot tub. Great communication by Jazzy and David, and an easy check-in/check-out process. Recommend!

Pictures were not current. Bathroom has a massive hole in the ceiling with a leaking pipe that dripped water all over the floor and the property managers did nothing to resolve it during our stay. Had to share our bathroom with another couple we vacationed with. Had ants all over the house and a mouse.

Lipstick on a Pig. Great Location and Views, But NOT "Luxurious""While this property is listed as a luxurious home and looks great in creative staging photos, the reality inside does not match the advertisement. Some people clearly have a very different version of what luxury actually looks and feels like.The Pros:The proximity to Yosemite is perfect, which is the main reason we stayed here. The back patio also offers the most amazing sunsets and is wonderful for nighttime stargazing.The Reality & Maintenance Issues:• Navigation Nightmare: The drive UP to the property is definitely not for the faint of heart. Furthermore, GPS will NOT get you here. You absolutely must save the final step-by-step instructions provided in the host's check-in email, or you will get lost.• Deep Cleanliness Issues: What the listing photos don't reveal is the heavy layer of grime. There were two inches of dust caked onto all the ceiling fans, and dust covering the upper railings to the loft area (which is blocked off anyway).• Bblah Furnishings & Dated Kitchen: Zero dollars were spent to make the inside feel premium. The interior features very standard, boring IKEA or Amazon furniture. The kitchen is just so-so, burdened by a dated dishwasher that looks like it's from 1982.• The Bathroom Issues: If you are tall or claustrophobic, the master shower is a nightmare—it is smaller than an old telephone booth. I am 5'6" and banged my elbows every single time I washed my hair. The guest bathroom w

We had a great time at this house! The hosts responded right away to messages. Everything was clean and well equiped. The living area and kitchen were spacious. It was a pleasure to be able to cook together, eat around a big table, & watch the game on TV. On top of that there was pool, ping pong and a hot tub large enough for an even bigger group than ours. And YES the sunset was gorgeous. We hiked next to two beautiful rivers each only 10 minutes away. We will happily come back.

Perfect retreat for Yosemite Fun

The property was amazing and so was the host. Both the home and the view were great! We stayed here for its access to Yosemite National Park. The location was great! We will definitely be back if we ever return to Yosemite.

We enjoyed everything. The hotel was perfect very nice grill where we made some steaks and chicken. Beautiful sunsets. Very quite neighborhood. Easy place to start your day in Yosemite. Only an hour from the airport! comfortable beds and linens. Lovely fireplace. If you are arriving after dark, it’s a little more challenging to find it the first time. Very private!

Our home away from home for our trip to Yosemite National Park was exactly as described. We loved staying at The Ponderosa. Close to the park. The hot tub was just what we needed after our long hikes. Thank you for sharing your home with our family
