This is a very unfortunate review by a very confused and now apparently vindictive person who shouldn’t be traveling on VRBO, and anyway has close family living permanently just around the corner. I in fact stayed at this beautiful brand new apartment myself for seven months until the day before she arrived (while finishing renovation of my own personal apartment just nearby), the supposed neighbor issues she made an incredible fuss about simply do not exist…at all, nada. There was not a trace of any such things all the months I lived there, nor when we checked her in, nor when we stopped by right after when she started writing unbelievable streams of messages abour unlivable conditions, nor when we checked her out the next day, nor with any of the ten subsequent groups of guests through this platform and other platforms who have had wonderful stays at this beautiful condo apartment since then. It was simply impossible to have this troubled person staying ranting about imaginary things, so VRBO - who understood our dilemma - indeed kindly agreed that we should cancel this reservation…at very considerable cost to ourselves btw as the booking was made almost a year in advance at the start if our high season, which merely highlights the fact that we had no choice but to part ways with this individual. To emphasise, this guest has booked and cancelled on us in previous years, has changed this and previous bookings with us at short notice and at considerable cost to us, and I originally accepted this booking against the advice of my mother out of kindness to the guest in question as she had stayed with us previously. As for the guest chosing to highlight her age in this unfortunate and vindictive review, my own dear mum with whom I co-manage this and other apartments is 81 and was most upset by this guest’s appalling behaviour and by the unnecessary hassle that it caused her son (me!) and others working with us providing genuine guests with a terrific experience. In spite of her awful behavior and the trouble and cost to us we chose not to leave any review at all for this guest, as it would have had to be very negative. I tend to follow the saying that if you don’t have something good to say about someone don’t say anything at all…unfortunately she chose the low road by leaving this nonsense of a review, so I have been forced to respond with the reality. Anyway, as they say you can’t win ‘em all, that’s life, and we move on to better things.
