This is a delightful property very close to our favorite museum and was the perfect family gathering . The house was convenient, walkable, and had a large enough table for all of us.

Joe and Karuna were great hosts. The house was huge, in a great location, and perfect for our group. Everything was in great shape and they even sent the extra mile to make sure each roomed had proper AC units and airflow. Thank you Joe and Karuna!

Great Stay for a Big Group

We were attending a family wedding and needed a house for 20 people. This home was perfect, parking, enough beds and bathrooms all in beautiful vintage home. We loved our stay!

Nicest rental place I’ve ever stayed in

Great time in the Charm City!!

Our time at the Victorian Mansion was amazing!! We had family come in from all over the country and they all thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The mansion was roomy enough for all of us to be together and still allow for individual privacy. The hosts were The Best!!

Great stay for big group

The house comfortably slept 18 people and has the perfect set-up for a group outing. One tricky thing to navigate is lack of keyless entry, which was somewhat complicated for a large group. Even with that said, though, this was a phenomenal find and I would not hesitate to book it again with a group.

Regarding key-less entry, we are concerned about the password being shared with unauthorized people which is why we decided to keep the physical keys. This also ensures that the primary guest who booked will have control over entry into the house so they are not liable for unknown persons entering the house without their knowledge during their stay. It's a very unique, gorgeous property that's very handy to mid-town locations. We got married in a nearby location and it was the perfect staging ground for various guests and decorations. The only real caution I would suggest to anyone wishing to stay there and fill it to it's maximum is that it is a highly vertical home, so whoever you will put on the upper rooms will have a lot of climbing to do if they be social with the rest of the house

Beautiful historic mansion in convenient Baltimore location

I stayed here with my wedding party for my wedding weekend and it did not disappoint. The house was huge and very comfortably housed our group. The hosts were friendly and generously allowed us to complete an early check in so that we could get settled on the property before wedding festivities began! The setting is gorgeous and we took many of our wedding photos either inside the home or outside on the street - they turned out great. Overall, would recommend this property for any large group to spend time in Baltimore.

Theater Experience

We were from a community theater representing the state of Florida at the Southeastern Theater Conference We enjoyed the house as we had large spaces to run lines, rehearse and just hang out together plus we won and will be performing in Iowa next.

Step back into history

Charming and spacious Victorian townhouse, with plenty of room for extended family was what we found in a lively, convenient location in downtown Baltimore. The home, while spectacular with high ceilings and marble fireplaces, was surprisingly comfortable. Everything was made easy by our hosts as we were quite busy with our daughter’s college graduation festivities. Would have loved to stay longer to cook in the amazing two-story kitchen or relax in the outdoor spaces. Maybe next time!

Historic House

Our stay was great. No issues with anything until check out when one of the group accidentally locked his suitcase in the house and sadly the owner was over an hour away. Only recommendation would be to have an easier check in/out process With a digital lock or key somewhere at the property just in case the owner is over an hour away with no immediate solution. Again, outside of this we did not have any issues. Neighborhood is fine, but walk a couple blocks on either side and you could have a very different experience.

In response to your review- a digital key is not possible for the security of our guests and of the 200-year-old house--digital keys may be shared with outside vendors or people who may not be in the guest list. In our 5 years of hosting, we have never had guests leave their suitcases behind. In our check-out instructions, we remind our guests to ensure that they have their belongings with them. However, during emergencies, we do make it a priority to attend to our guests' needs. Thank you again for staying with us. Have an amazing year ahead.

Oh my gosh! What an amazing find in Baltimore! This property is absolutely stunning! We booked this for our wedding party and it was beyond perfect for our friends and family. For those with an eye for photography, the decor, furniture, and natural lighting are a wedding photographer's dream! For those looking for a space that can offer a side unit, perhaps for a groom's parlor, look no further! For those with a love of old houses, what a charming find! The only note of caution is that you will get a workout going up and down several flights of stairs. (I promise it is worth it!) The hosts are very responsive and super thorough. You can trust that the property will be clean and ready for you!

Beautiful Home

Great place to stay with a large group. Plenty of rooms and beds. The beds were so comfortable! The house is absolutely stunning. Clean. The hosts are wonderful to deal with, respond very quickly with all questions. Easy check in and check out.

Giant place, great location, great communication

My group had an excellent time staying at Karuna and Joe's mansion. The place is in a tremendous location. You are caddy corner to an art museum, a block away from a great food hall, and walking distance to most things downtown Baltimore. The place itself is great for hosting large groups, with nice central gathering areas as well. We brought about 12, but we could have fit many more. Karuna was impeccable with communication before and during our stay. Highly recommend this place!
