My family and I had the best stay! The property manager Kim was prompt in responses and with getting AC issues that we had fixed same day.The pool was incredible and the golf cart on property was perfect for carting our group and supplies to the beach.Overall would stay here again!

Great Rental but Needs Attention

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was the perfect size for 11 adults. Overall, a great space, location, and sizable pool. A couple of annoyances: the pool alarm wouldn't stop going off when we first got there, the wifi was spotty, the oven didn't work, and the pool was very dirty. The house was surface-level clean, but the walls had markings all over them, the floors were dirty, and the light switches were gross. A couple of beds were questionably clean. It really could use a solid deep clean for future guests. However, Coastal Blue Vacations was wonderful to work with, and their communication is top-tier throughout our stay.

There are so many things we loved about this home. The overall space is beautiful and perfect for 16 people, the location is unmatched (close to the beach and restaurants) and the size of the pool and backyard space was incredible for hanging out. Communication with Kim was also easy and fast. The only downside is that there are a few maintenance/cleanliness things that could be done to make the property even better.

The home itself is beautiful, the layout is great, and the location is phenomenal. We really enjoyed the area, and the house has so much potential.Unfortunately, there were several maintenance and cleanliness issues that took away from our stay. The home was not very clean when we arrived. We had requested an early check-in, so initially I assumed the cleaning crew may have been rushed, but after reading other reviews, it seems cleanliness has been mentioned by previous guests as well.Our bathroom shower backed up every single time we used it, and the exterior doors were unnecessarily complicated to lock. The outdoor pool alarm/button also did not work properly. We had to run inside to reset it, which caused a very loud alarm to sound—especially frustrating at night when we had sleeping babies.The grill was broken, the middle garage door was not working, and the dishwasher was also broken when we arrived. We were able to get the dishwasher issue resolved during our stay, which we appreciated.Overall, this really is a beautiful home in an amazing location. It just feels like the property needs a week dedicated to deep cleaning, maintenance, and fixing some of these issues. With a little attention and upkeep, it could be an incredible place to stay.

Hi Allison, thank you for your review. It is unfortunate that when we read your review, none of the issues were reported by you. When you checked in, you text us "the house is amazing", so we assumed all was good. The only issue was the dishwasher, and it was promptly repaired. We have checked all of the other issues you state in your review, and all work fine. We are not sure if it may have been user error. The pool alarms are required by law, and they are functioning properly also. Again, if we are made aware of any issues, we promptly address them.

Beautiful home and wonderful host

Our week at Reel Deal was so much fun. The space was perfect for our large family. The host was excellent and answered any questions or concerns asap. There were a few things that we thought would make the stay even better and our suggestions were welcomed. The house is well stocked with everything you need. It's an easy walk to the beach. We will be back

Family Fun

Beautiful home with an Awesome pool . The beach is very close . Only a 5 minute walk. A golf cart is available .loved it !!!

Our stay at the Reel Deel

A wonderful property for our family of all ages. The kids loved the pool, everyone loved the easy access to the beach, the 6 bathrooms and lovely indoor and outdoor spaces. Enough room for all 17 of us. Golf cart was a hit and so practical. Could have used some more bath towels and the outdoor fp wasn’t working.

Family vacation

It is a beautiful property with very nice amenities. The pool had a splash pad for the little ones but large enough to accommodate everyone. Having the golf cart was very useful in transporting people and beach equipment to and from the beach. The beach was a 5 minute walk if wanted to walk. Blue Mountain Beach is one of the prettiest beaches I have ever been to.

Perfect house

The house is amazing. We had two families with young children who loved the pool and the beach. The house was exactly how it was described. There were even some extra beach chairs. We would rent again and if it ever went up for sale we would buy it. Amazing property.

Family Reunion

The property is lovely. The perfect house for our family of 13. The pool is ideal for all ages but especially for young children. The property manager was extremely responsive. The kitchen was one of the best we’ve seen. Loved the house.

Really is the Real Deal

This is an amazing house. Everything is as represented. We had a few initial hiccups with some things not working but the caretaker responded immediately and got everything in working order. Would definitely recommend this place!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We took this vacation to get all the little cousins together. It was the first time they had all been on a trip together and this amazing house made it so comfortable and fun! The best part of this house was the fact that each family unit had their own room with a bathroom and the bunk room was the highlight for all the little boys. The living space was the perfect size to feel together but also not cramped. The back patio and pool were a great addition to have on this trip, especially after beach time when we could just rinse off in the outdoor shower and then just hop right in the pool.

NOTE: A propane tank was left near the gas grill. This is not needed; the grill has a direct supply line. The burners & the shields need to be replaced. Wish the street had been paved (lot of dust)

Only complaint is the internet is very weak. (This may just be the Blue Mountain area, in general.) I usually work for about an hour at night while on vacation, and this was extremely hard with the low signal. The home had great wifi, but the internet was still very slow. Other than that, the house was great, and we would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful Time

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Coastal Blue was very accommodating allowing us early entry with the thunderstorm that came through and knocked power out. The house had more than enough space for 8 children, the pool area was beautiful. Walk to the beach was pretty easy, the house has plenty of beach chairs and beach toys, The only things I would love to see would be a better outdoor eating area, maybe a large table. The fireplace and pool lights never worked for us while we were there, not that it was a big deal. Also the golf cart never really held a good charge, would not trust it to drive to another town but to and from the beach it was great. Overall the house is beautiful, location to the beach was a easy walk. We will most definitely return to Reel Deal.

Thanks for your review and letting us know about the pool light and it has been addressed. The outdoor fireplace has directions attached and were not aware the guest had any issues with the fireplace. We have had the batteries tested on the golf cart, and they checked out good. Thanks!

Great House, Great Location

We just completed a fantastic stay here at the Blue Mountain Beach house alongside 30A. The house was bigger than we imagined and fit our party of 13 easily. Situated along 3-A, we walked to our favorite ice cream shops more than once and were super close to a few of our favorite restaurants. The golf cart provided quick transportation to the beach though it is in walking distance. Like most families, each time we went, we took a truck load of toys, chairs, and such, most of which was found in the garage of the house; so the golf cart was nice for that. The house was clean, and the pool was perfect. The only issue, (minor for us) was that we could not get the downstairs TV to change channels. I'm sure it was operator error, and we didn't bother the manager with it. Speaking of; Kim was great. Always relied back within seconds. One thing I didn't notice in the pictures is that the upstairs extra room above the garage has its own bathroom and kitchen area. It's like a little apartment. It was perfect for our teenage girls to have their own space away from siblings. If you have a large group and want a spacious house with plenty of room, close to the beach and right on 30A, this spot is perfect. We will be back!

Our Christmas/New Year's Family Holiday at Blue Mtn Beach House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, our family of 10 enjoyed our stay at this vacation rental property -- only 5 minutes from the beach! The house was huge and spacious, had many unique features, such as a chandelier over the bathtub in the first-floor bathroom, bathtub in the shower in another bathroom, and balconies attached to all the rooms we used! Really nice! The house also included a 6-passenger cart, which was very handy. We had plenty of room for large gatherings together as well as personal space. The house was well-lit (except no outside lighting in front) and had floor-to-ceiling windows in the Great Room leading out to the patio and pool area. The kitchen appliances were state-of-the-art. (It actually would have been helpful to have instructions on use of the oven and dishwasher!) The pool and patio areas were beautiful, just as shown in the photo. Our concerns about the property had to do with cleanliness. The yard, grills, and patio covers were dirty, but our host (Kim) was very responsive in getting the patio covers cleaned. As a matter of fact, she responded immediately to our emails with quick replies. We did share with her other concerns of lack of cleanliness in the first-floor, bedroom, great room, and kitchen areas, and one other bedroom area. We LOVED the house; however, as we told our host, there needed to be more attention to cleaning before guests arrived, especially since the rental included a cleaning fee. Despite that, we still enjoyed being there!

There is plenty of space throughout the house, including a large seating area near the tv, large dining room table (as well as extra barstools near kitchen island), and ample outdoor seating. The pool is great for days when you just want to relax at home, or maybe cool off after hitting the beach...we loved that some parts of the pool were also shaded from the hot sun.Communication with the property manager was timely and helpful. The golf cart was a nice bonus too...just make sure you watch the parking signs! We mainly used the golf cart to shuttle our family to and from the beach.We would definitely rent this property again if we are back in the area! Thank you for having us.
