We really enjoyed our stay overall. The sandy beach was a huge hit with our kids and made for a fun place to play. The lake was a bit weedy, but is to be expected after a warm July. The home is a nice, newer build and was very well stocked with amenities. There were plenty of towels, bathroom essentials, kitchen supplies, and even toys and games for both kids and adults, which we really appreciated. One thing to note is that the house felt a bit smaller than it appeared in the listing photos, and there wasn't a lot of comfortable seating for everyone to gather and relax indoors. A few areas of the home, including one bedroom, were locked or unavailable for guest use.Cleanliness was mostly good, but we did find some clumps of hair and eyelash clusters in one shower and cut fingernails in one of the beds, which was disappointing. We also had quite a few mayflies getting into the house overnight, leaving dead bugs on the floors and countertops each morning. Fortunately, a vacuum was provided, making cleanup easy. The mosquitoes and mayflies made it difficult to spend much time outside once evening arrived. Understandable given the wooded location, but spraying the outdoor area would probably help some.Overall, we had a pleasant stay with no major issues. We appreciated the owners' communication and flexibility leading up to our trip, and they were great to work with.(The random neighbor showing up to mow was surprising. Not a big deal, but could give guests a heads up).
