We had a fabulous stay in Freeport! The house was clean upon arrival, and the views were stunning. The check-in process was smooth, and the property manager, Jeff, was very responsive and answered all my questions leading up to our stay. The welcome guide that Jeff and Jess put together was super helpful, especially as I was putting together an itinerary for the weekend. It was a short trip to Portland, which was convenient as well. We cooked breakfast once at the house and found that some of the stocked items were empty (specifically the oil), though we understand that was likely an oversight by the previous visitors. We had a lovely stay overall and highly recommend if you're looking to spend time in Freeport!

Bachelorette Party

We had a great time staying at this property. Very clean, big, and great accommodations for a group of 12 females. The hosts were excellent, and super responsive. We would definitely recommend this house to others!

This house has it all: Comfort, Spaciousness, and Beauty. Our group of eight (including 4 children) stayed here the first week of August. We came from DC, MD, and MA for a family reunion with Maine relatives. The house is more spectacular than the photos on the site. The cathedral ceiling LR/DR looks over the woods and cove, a deeply peaceful scene. One family stayed in the upstairs BRs, the other in the lower level; one adult stayed in the first floor BR. The layout of the house gave us time to be together as well time apart. The kitchen is fully stocked. We felt very welcomed and at home. On a rainy day, we had fun looking through all the outlets and of course, LLBean. We ordered pizza one night from Bow St Market, which was excellent. Another night, we ordered Chinese from Asian Garden in Brunswick, which was also good (we did pick up). Portland is only about 20 minutes away. The Children’s Museum was fun; we also enjoyed walking along the Eastern Promenade. Overall, we were sad to leave. (Note: Because of the woods and water, there are mosquitoes, so bring repellent.)

Huge Maine Home

We had such a good time at this beautiful home for our family. There was so much space and such a beautiful views. We can’t rave enough the accommodations and all the little extras that were provided! Cannot wait to come back!

Beautiful property just outside Portland!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this property, as it was a perfect place for our weekend trip. Nestled in the woods with a waterfront view, it offers close proximity to the shops in Freeport and nearby downtown Portland. The owner was incredibly responsive and set us up for amazing stay! Definitely would rebook here!

Perfect location! Close to Freeport shopping area, breweries, and state park for hiking! The property is beautiful and the house is so comfortable and spacious. Would definitely come back if there’s a chance! Thank you so much for an excellent experience!

From start to finish, renting this wonderful house was a great experience. Jeff Jess are friendly, easy to communicate with and on top of all the details!!! The house was perfect for a group of 9 women hanging out for the weekend. Huge kitchen, dining table for 10, comfy sectional for morning coffee late night chats - it checked all the boxes! Thank you!

JUST AWESOME!

We we in a bind and needed a large place to stay with some family andfriends for our 50th Anniversary. Jeff and Jess were great and answered all our questions. Place was very accomodating for our group of seniors. Gorgeous views and we loved the sundeck

Great family vacation spot!

We had a wonderful stay. The amenities were great, and the house was so spacious for the family to gather and also enough space for family members to find their own private spaces when they're reached their limit! :) The wifi is not strong, but this only encourages everyone to be present and be outdoors. After all, you are in beautiful Maine!

60th birthday getaway

We had 10 women celebrating our 60th birthdays. It was a great house to accommodate all of us. Everyone had comfortable sleeping arrangements and we enjoyed the large living room and the screened in porch. We were able to walk to Freeport and access great walking paths with a short drive. The property manager was an excellent communicator and extremely accommodating. Highly recommend this house!

This is a great property for multi-unit families as the bedrooms/sleeping spots are spacious, well-situated, and numerous. We took full advantage of the amenities, including upper grill, kayaks, outdoor fire pit for smores night, and laundry!! Kitchen is well stocked including 4 coffee pot options! Oyster knives (we left behind several sets of lobster tools), cutting boards, spacious and clean refrigerator, unbreakable plates and wine glasses. The living room accommodated all of us for a game night of Taboo. The kayaks are tricky launching in deep mud but we ventured out twice and it's a great way to explore the cove. (The mosquitos are vicious waterside, but once launched they go away!) Amazingly there were no bug issues on the upper deck. We spent a lot of time there. The Bow Street Market is a must....they prepared steamed lobsters to go (really delicious) and we brought to house for eating on the deck. We tried their oysters also. Small but tasty and fun to shuck. Jess and Jeff were responsive throughout this experience...before, during, and after. Terrific hosts. We did not have a dog with us but the house is dog-friendly, which our dog lovers appreciated. Of course proximity to shopping (LL Bean and outlets) was a big plus for teens and adults alike. And take the time to go to Mainely Custard, the best ice cream ever for a truly local, old fashioned down home experience. We love your state and will be back! Beats our Mississippi heat!Thanks, Jess & Jeff

Winter Get Away

We needed a space for our group to celebrate a milestone birthday. The listing looked perfect. The large open living/dining room was the perfect space. There was accommodations for our party of 12 and everyone raved about the beds/rooms. We loved the view for morning coffee, yet it was so close to shopping and dining. The owners are very responsive and we enjoyed learning about the history of the house in their welcome manual. Lots of little touches in the house. Would highly recommend this space for your group.

Perfect spot for a girls' trip / reunion!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful and very comfortable Freeport house! It is well appointed, with everything you could need for cooking meals. Everyone in the group agreed that the beds were incredibly comfortable as well. The main space sat us all easily and comfortably for catching up. The house itself is in such a pretty spot, looking out over the cove. You feel like you are quite remote, but it such a quick and easy drive to downtown Freeport that it was easy to run to the grocery store and the main Freeport attractions. Wifi worked perfectly. Can't speak to the TVs, as we were busy chatting and catching up, but the instructions left were clear. Communication with the hosts prior to our check-in was prompt and easy. We would love to return in the future, and highly recommend!

A nice spot in Freeport

We had a pleasant stay at this home. We’ve stayed at many top notch VRBO/AirB&Bs, so we were looking forward to a comfortable visit. The bed was in fact very comfortable! There were only 2 of us, so we can’t speak to the other beds, but this is the home’s greatest attribute- it can sleep a HUGE group. We were surprised that the kitchen was sparsely supplied- only plastic plates and cups, and I couldn’t find measuring spoons, e.g. There were a few items that needed maintenance, but they didn’t impact our stay and the owners were very responsive. I’d also say the sectional in the living room was rather uncomfortable, should probably be replaced soon. Our thanks to the owners for allowing us to share your home.

Hi Margaret, thank you for staying with us. I wonder if maybe you did not look through all the cabinets (there are a lot). We certainly have many many plates/bowls/dishes etc. that are glass and melamine (we don't have plastic dishes). Thanks for the info on the couch, we have this couch as well and love it at our house. Fantastic location-private but close to town

12 adult family members. Easy access, easy parking, Lots of room (common space and bedroom space) & plenty of bathrooms. Seats for 12 at the dining room table, more than enough outdoor areas for everyone to enjoy each other's company. Even though Hurricane Lee blew through off the coast of New England, the house is situated so that we were not exposed to the direct wind when we were outside on the deck. We just had to duck the falling acorns! Lots of hot water, very comfortable beds & linens. The electric cooktop was tricky for us to figure out (we all cook with gas at home!) BBQ grill burners were a bit rusty, but every burner fired up right away & our chicken wings were perfect! I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful spot

Very happy with accommodations and location. Everyone raved about their beds and how comfortable they were. Only complaints: If you plan on using the grill, know this. The grill has seen better days. Half of the burners are shot so cooking was limited to 2 burners. We were reminded ad nauseum from the owner about Freeport's noise enforcement...and that policy will show up. It's too bad prior guests have caused this. This is more of an observation than complaint. Generally speaking, it was as advertised and the owners made sure everything was well stocked.
