Perfect home with the best view of Surfer’s Beach. Honestly, it was breathtaking! The home is very nice, the beds are comfortable and we had plenty of room. It couldn’t have been any better!

What can I say, this place was Amazing!! A true dream house! The house was so well built, we loved all the features like the high ceilings, large bedrooms and bathrooms, views… The walk up patio overlooking the water was a dream. It truly took my breath away the day we arrived( and everyday after). We enjoyed our coffee outside every morning and sat out there every evening and just took it all in. Truly beautiful. My young kids thought the walk down to the beach and back was a great adventure! My youngest is 5 and had no problem with the walk. We enjoyed one day at Surfer’s Beach snorkeling and surfing( sadly high winds the rest of the time we were there didn’t allow for anymore surfing) but there was so much to do in the island we had an amazing time.The house offered everything we needed and more! The beds were big and comfy which I really appreciated. My kids loved the loft. The decks all around the house were big and my kids had so much fun exploring the property. We loved having an outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach. Cecil, the house manager, was attentive and helpful. The owners gave us a great guidebook to help us navigate the island with great recommendations. I truly appreciated the whole water filtration system and the solar panels! We had high winds and we heard many on the island lost power but we didn’t! Overall, we loved this house and we hope to be back!

This was by far a top of the list vacation for our group! Everything was perfect! Location, views, snorkeling beach, amenities and did I mention the views!!!!! We will be back for sure! Todd and Mary go above and beyond to help make the stay great! They are full of so much great information.

Location is stunning, the platform is an amazing touch. The host communicated well. The packet of information that was sent was perfect. So much to see and explore. Definitely not for families with small children. Loved the private path to the ocean, felt like part of the adventure.

Eleutheras vantage point

The property was perfectly secluded with short drives to beautiful beaches and other attractions. The house was perfect for our family, comfortable, attractive, and an amazing view from a deck that was percect for a cup of morning coffee.

Fantastic location !!

Me and my family spent the last week here and it was a top-notch experience from start to finish. We actually missed our flight from Miami the first day but Todd was very accommodating and understanding. The views were breathtaking and we felt like we were in secluded paradise the entire time. Definitely would return again.

Pretty great

Everything was perfect, we were on a surf/dive trip. Surf was great for two days then diving was great for two days. Couldn’t have asked for more. Todd has some great recommendations for sure!

Great Hosts!

The hosts thoroughly and accurately described everything necessary about the property and surrounding area. They responded in a timely manner to our many questions. We rented the Villa, Apartment, and Cottage for our large group of 7 and an infant and it was a perfect fit. We had a great time and would recommend to orhers without hesitation.

My family and I stayed here for a week in June and loved it. The house was immaculate, beds were comfortable, and everything worked. The view from the deck was amazing and lent itself to many sundowners and time spent just enjoying the view. The beach is great. When winds were out of the south, the water was relatively calm and we snorkeled the reef. When winds were from the north and east, it was quite rough, so we opted to take the car and find calmer Caribbean side beaches. Found two incredible beaches just south of the glass window. Lake-calm turquoise waters with sandy bottom all the way to the horizon. And we had them all the way to ourselves. If the waters are calm out back of the villa, don’t bother paying to swim with the turtles up north. They were right there snacking on some of the sea grass about 15 yards off shore.We should have invested more time on the front end in local Gregory Town venues. Everything you need is close by, but you have to seek it out. The only frustration was finding fresh seafood to grill at night. On an island known for its world class fishing that has fishing villages every few miles, it was extremely hard to find! We’ll have to crack that code next time! Looking forward to coming back.

Thank you for your stay, Stephen. I have a couple of new contacts plus one already in the planner for fresh fish, lobster (in season), conch and only $20/lb large stone crab. Since there is no real fish market you have to call them and meet them some place often closer to Gov Harbour. All safe. You nailed it on the winds and which beaches to visit. We always let the wind determine where we will go since there are so many options. Please come again and ill load you up with more contacts. Thank you

Pure Bliss

The view from the observation deck was amazing day or night. We watched the sunset every morning and looked over a moonlit beach every night. Accommodations were as described and fit the needs of our two families. We were close enough to enjoy each other's company, but there was space to step away if you needed some alone time. Best vacation in years, we will be back Eleuthera.

The View!!

This property was amazing in every way! Everything you need, comfortable beds, shade as needed in August, outdoor shower was very private, the upper deck was amazing in the mornings and evenings, the beach is fantastic with your own protected pool at the point of rocks, the trail to the beach is fun and hanging out at night was fun playing board games etc! We just had a blast at Eleuthera Villa!! Thanks so much for letting us enjoy your home for a week!!

We love Eleuthera Villa!

This was our third stay at Eleuthera Villa. There is always something to do or see. This time we traversed the island to the legendary Lighthouse Point beach, Cathedral Caves and back north to some of our favorites, French Leave Beach (Tippy's!), and even north to Harbour Island to the restaurants and shops and of course to see Pink Sands Beach. Loads of options for adventures, but most importantly beaches literally everywhere if you'd like to do nothing at all (Need a great beach with shade? Check out Gaulding Cay). Hosts are always great and house has everything you'd need except food and drink. We will see you again soon!

Perfect!!!

The villa was everything that I wanted for a place to stay! The view was epic, it was surrounded by nature and adventure, and was full of exploration. It was a very important health anniversary for me, and I wanted this trip to be extra special with my 3 adult kids, and the villa was absolutely perfect for us! This place, or even Eleuthera is not for everyone, but was absolutely PERFECT FOR US!!! We loved every minute of this place and everything the beautiful island had to offer. Tip if you don't like to do dishes, because who does...pack paper plates, paper cups, and paper bowls to cut down on the amount of dishes you will need to do...we will be doing this next time :) BTW the beds were very comfortable, we all slept like babies, which I never do when I travel, so that was a huge plus!

A Truly Special Place

The property looks exactly like the photos, but there is no substitute for actually being there. The location and views are absolutely beautiful. The house is in a very private setting, and comfortably furnished. There are great mattresses in the bedrooms, and 2 large and very comfortable sofas in the living room. There are plenty of places to sit in the kitchen, and the cooking area is well equipped. The covered breezeway on the side of the house was a wonderful place to relax. We had a nice breeze while we were there, so we were able to sit outside without being bothered by any bugs - even at dusk. The host was very responsive while we were setting up our trip, and sent helpful information about restaurants, grocery stores, and other items of interest. Check-in, as well as communication with the caretaker while we were there, was very easy as well. We loved our stay here.

Rejuvenation!

We will be back, Todd and/or Mary were absolutely incredible hosts. Reading the travel planner is essential and the description on VRBO so you won’t be surprised by bugs or power outages on island. The biggest advice I would give is to bring plenty of cash there are only 2 ATMs we could find on island and one did not work on one of our cards. Almost no one takes cards. This was a challenge at first but if i would have doubled my cash I brought i would have been fine:) this island has so much beauty and charm that if you complain about bugs on an island maybe a vacation by the water isn’t for you.

Wonderful place

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house is clean, comfortable and attractive without being overly fancy---kind of a beach house crossed with a cabin. The view from the upper deck is truly spectacular. The house was a great base for travelling around to other beaches, and to shops and restaurants, with many very close by. (We strongly suggest ordering pineapple tarts from Monica's Dis and Dat in Gregory Town.) We also enjoyed a great day out with Tom of Bahamas Out Island Adventures, who lives nearby and has great ideas for fun activities. The northern part of the island did have an unusually long power failure during our stay, but Todd was great at keeping us updated on progress reports from Bahamas Power and Light. Any visit to the out islands requires a bit of resourcefulness, and this visit was no exception--as they say, Eleuthera isn't for everyone, but that is part of the charm. We would return to this house again in a heartbeat. We are already talking about planning another visit.

What a view!

We stayed as a family with friends at the Villa for 8 days. The view did not disappoint.The trip planner prepares you for your stay at the Villa as well as the area. I do recommend the new grocery store (formerly Burrow’s) in Governor’s Harbor over the North Eleuthera shopping center. The local 711 in Gregory Town was surprisingly good resource too. Farm stands and restaurants were either closed or had reduced hours when we were there (late May) but we had no issue working around that. Daddy Joe’s just south of the Glass Window Bridge saw us several times, and they never disappointed. Due to the size of group, we used the apartment that was a bit musty so note that if you are sensitive. We were careful with water usage and had no issues with it. The remodeled bathrooms a plus. Wish we had two beach towels per person but we lived, lol. The beds in the main house were super comfortable. There were a few issues that were easily taken care of. The highlights of the house for us were the hammock, top deck at night under the stars and Thurston aka Taco the ginger kitty.Oh, and we did get to see surfers from the deck which just added to the atmosphere.With so many beaches to explore, you can be as busy as you want. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks, Todd and Mary (and Cecil)!

Beautiful location with unbeatable views

My group of 8 had a fantastic week at this property. We were two families with kids aged 5, 7, 11, and 13. Views from every vantage point on the property were spectacular and finding all of them was part of the fun. Sunrise and stargazing from the upper deck was incredible and the 180-degree panorama of the rocky coastline was pretty astounding. The hosts thoroughly prepared us for our visit with both the listing description and a comprehensive planner they sent at the time of booking. We spent the time to review that planner and found it both helpful and accurate. The road from Queen's Highway to the villa is rugged but we knew that and it was part of the adventure. We rented SUVs as recommended and had no problems. The private beach trail is a rugged and steep route down through the jungle and the rocks, but our 5-year-old had no issues with it and we were well prepared by the recommended reading. For surfers: I rented a board from Tom (recommended by the hosts) and had a few really fun sessions. The peak and paddle-out spot is the pair of surf shacks located south of the big rock in front of the house. Overall the house and provisions were great. One note: we had planned to sleep one couple in the downstairs apartment. That unit did have a very strong musty/mildew smell however so we ended up sleeping everyone in the main house. The hosts are aware and are working on it. All in all, great communication and recommendations from the hosts. Embrace the adventure!
