The Bamboo Hut, completely remodeled in 2025, features a huge game room with foosball, air hockey, pool table, jukebox, large screen tv, and other games. Your pet can also get in on the fun in the fenced yard.

Boasting furnishings with a coastal flair, a wide open living space, and 4 comfortable bedrooms, this Pirates Beach beachside home is a breath of fresh air. Plan to bring your whole family on your next island getaway - including your VIP (Very Important Pet).

Make yourself at home with lazy mornings in. The primary king suite is on the main level and boasts deck access plus a walk-in shower and soaking tub in the private en suite bath. Three more bedrooms are tucked away on the upper level -- one king bedroom, one 2 queen bedroom, and one built-in bunk bedroom that’s perfect for kids or teens.

The relaxing island decor invites you into the living room, and a large sectional with a chaise plus an oversized sofa keep you comfortable. Two dining tables seat a total of 12 guests, and the breakfast bar can seat 4. The fully equipped kitchen features stainless steel appliances, abundant storage, and a long island perfect for prepping or serving family favorites on your island vacay.

Bring a glass of wine out onto the deck and soak in the Galveston sun. Prefer the shade? The ground level patio has a picnic table and charcoal grill - perfect for family barbecues. Take the short neighborhood walk to the beach. Sun, sand, and surf are only 3 blocks away!

PET POLICY
This house is pet friendly and accepts 2 small dogs (each <20 lbs) OR 1 medium dog (40 – 60 lbs) with a non-refundable pet fee of $125+ tax. You must indicate you are “traveling with pets” prior to booking.

PARKING
Parking is available for up to 4 vehicles in the private driveway of this home. Per HOA rules, street parking is not allowed.

LINENS & STARTER SUPPLIES KIT
We want to help get your trip off to an easy start, so you’ll find a set of starter supplies at your home when you arrive: a roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, dishwashing soap, and shampoo, conditioner, lotion and hand soap for the bathrooms. For longer vacations, please plan to bring your favorite brands with you.
Sheets & bath towels are included with every reservation. Housekeeping places freshly laundered linens in the home before every arrival and will collect any used linens after you depart.

LOCAL & LOVING IT
We are here to help! Our office is right at the entrance to Pirates Beach and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day. Our Property Services team is available for guests 24/7, so be sure to call us if there’s anything you need!

On the West End, you’ll find miles and miles of beaches, birding sanctuaries, boat ramps, and great fishing spots (beaches, bay & canal) as well as restaurants, groceries, and convenience stores.

In-town attractions are an easy, short drive away – The Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Galveston Railroad Museum, Historic Downtown Galveston, the Tall Ship Elissa at Pier 23, and many others.

Gorgeous beach home with walkable beach access

Loved the home - we had our family base camp here for a beach weekend. The beach is barely a block from here. The home is stunning with lots of space. Great kitchen but could use some updated chicken tools. There is also a crazy mosquito problem. They swarm you the second you step out the door.

Beautiful home, not super great for medium to large dogs

The home is beautiful, although there are a few key areas for improvement. The yard is NOT fully enclosed, despite the fence going all the way around the property - there is no door on the opening from the patio to the driveway, so we had to barricade it with garage cans and the grill to allow our dogs to run in the yard. The coffee maker was only 8 cups and the carafe leaks when it is full, so minor thing, bit for a home that sleeps up to 8 adults and 4 kids, a larger coffee maker would be welcome. The trash cabinet also does not stay shut, which was a little problematic with a toddler running around. Otherwise, the kitchen was very well appointed with great appliances and it was very organized with plenty of pots, pans, and accessories for cooking. There was even a Vitamix blender which was also nice for margaritas. The kids had a great time in the bunk room, and we loved that the storm shutters blacked out the room so our kids would sleep in past sunrise. The beds were not the most comfortable. For a house as nice as this was, I would have expected higher end mattresses. Overall it was a really great stay - the only thing that might keep us from coming back is honestly the quality of the mattresses for a good night's sleep. Otherwise Morning Star is a great property!

Great Home

Plenty of Towels and Linens all packaged. Enjoyed the decks and the short walk to beach. Great place for families.
