I asked the manager if we could check in an hour or two for a business meeting. Nope, we could not. That was understandable because it had been rented prior to us. So, my husband conducted his business meeting in the truck at Leadville. However, when we arrived two hours after allowed check in time, we had to wait hours while they cleaned one of the cabins. Seems it hadn't been cleaned at all. There was no propane in the grill. The housekeeping staff was very nice. They did a good job. However, I booked for 12 people and we ended up having 10. BEWARE: you pay for what you book for. I had to pay for 12. Stupid. Another thing that rubbed me wrong was you have to pay a deposit for dogs for a cleaning fee that they take if you don't show up. You do NOT need the cleaning fee for the dogs if we cancel. That is a racket. Read carefully all the hidden fees so you know what you are paying. I had to request my deposit later. It took awhile to be refunded. Again, the property is great if you want to deal with the hassel of the management company. We also had three folks in our group who are 75 years of age. I think the altitude was hard on them. The view was great, but I won't be back.
