Hi Jon, we usually appreciate every feedback even if it´s not positive for us. We try to improve our business with each customer and reviews help us to reach that goal. So thank you for taking the time and writing the review. We do include these basic items in our villas and if they were not available at the week of your stay, we are sorry about that. We follow guidelines with our house cleaners and do supply with toilet paper, paper towels, soap etc. Did you call us to let us know this during your stay? Thank you.

Let me clarify the items you complained about to explain future guests how it came to this review. Scott visited our Villa Moonshine in February 2023. As the meteorological weather recordings show, it wasn't 80°. It was 45° at night and a maximum of 65° during the day. You don't have to be a physicist to understand that water with an initial temperature of 75° cools down overnight in an ambient temperature of 45°. We tried to explain this physical problem to Scott. As a result we switched the heater to 24 hour operation to heat the pool but there is no remedy in Florida for such temperatures other than a pool cover. Scott we appreciate this feedback and as a result we bought a pool cover to be prepared for the next cold front.

We try to improve our business with each customer and your review helps us to reach that goal. Please let me clarify for justification some of your issues. First of all the home has a transparent terms and conditions section on VRBO/Home Away where you can review the check in time. Check in time is after 4pm. You showed up the first time on 2pm while the cleaners where still cleaning. They allowed you to drop of your luggage and you left to get some groceries but you were being told that the check in time is not earlier than 4pm because of the issues the last guest left for us. You showed up again with groceries at 3pm and put everything in the fridge and walked through the entire house. I´m sorry Melanie but complaining about the house not being ready at check in isn´t fair when you showed up too early. The other complaint about the garbage cans outside has to be explained as well for potential new guests. The guests before you checked out on Tuesday morning and garbage day is on Wednesday morning. Of course we can´t empty the garbage cans in a residential area with every guest turnover. The guests after you also found your garbage in the garbage cans until Wednesday on garbage pick up day. Your review implies the idea that there was a dumping ground in front of the house. That was not the case. To your convenience we pulled the garbage cans down to the street on Tuesday so you didn´t have to do it.
