Welcome to the Ava Belle Inn, your family’s peaceful island retreat in Galveston. Ava Belle is located in the beautiful historic district near the Strand yet only a half mile from the fun of the Galveston beach. This three bedroom retreat is perfect for families, and friends, medical professionals rotating through the Galveston hospitals, or snowbirds who want to escape the winter cold. Our historic home also has amenities people love: bicycles, boogie-boards, indoor/outdoor games, and a great gas grill for cookouts. The Ava Belle Inn is where tranquility, location, and hospitality equals fun!

We had a lovely stay. The home was comfortable, cozy, and clean. We felt safe in the neighborhood and there’s a wonderful French bakery around the corner (Bleu Sucre). All bedrooms are upstairs. The weather was too hot and humid to enjoy the cute front porch and side yard. Communication was a breeze. Would stay again.

Enjoyed our stay to celebrate two birthdays. House was stocked with everything we needed, and location was within walking distance to the Strand and other desirable locations. Host was very responsive.

Lovely home! We enjoyed every part of our long weekend. House was very clean and came equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Mattresses were super comfortable and the bed linens were soft and cozy. The proximity to the attractions were within walking distance which was great. We will definitely book again!!!

We loved our stay in Galveston. The first night we ate at Vargas and it was excellent. While there we ate at the Black Pearl and Tequila Rocks also. We loved the Chocolate Factory and the store Gracie's. The house was very nice and well equipped except for towels. We only had 1 large bath towel and 2 hand towels in our bedroom. The outside patio is nice but in the heat of the summer a fan is needed. The upstairs bathroom shower was stopped up and luckily one of the men with us fixed it where you were not standing in water. It seemed it was clogged with hair! The downstairs shower is for short people only as the ceiling is very low. If you plan to cook while there it has plenty of pots and pans. The location is nice! With some tweaks this place will be a nice place to stay.

Visiting the Island

Very nice property in a very convenient location. It is a nice Victorian house that has been renovated. We had a great weekend visiting family. Well apportioned house with all the modern amenities. We highly recommend this place and will return.

Winter in Galveston

Our stay at the Ava Belle was nothing short of delightful. The house is steps away from all the activities of Galveston's downtown, restaurants and beaches. We had an extended stay of two months and were sad to leave. Our hosts were very responsive and helpful. The property is bright, cheerful and very comfortable. Highly recommend!

Great property close to everything we wanted

We stayed at Ave Belle Inn over the weekend and we had a great time. The house was perfect for our family and withing walking distance or VERY short driving distance to everything we wanted to do. The owners, Marshall & Christa, we very accommodating and friendly. When we arrived, the house was very clean and all of the instructions were very clear. We would definitely stay here again. Cute, relaxing and quaint.

This house has every appliance and toiletries one could need for a family beach trip. Beds are super comfortable. Short walk to historic downtown Galveston and piers and situated in the middle of many historic society homes. Well lit and safe. House interior is modern beach and comfortable. Great rental!

Very Comfortable.

I sat on the porch every night and enjoyed the quiet breeze. I met and visited with the neighbors. Inside was so comfortable! Kitchen had everything we needed. 8 minute walk to church for Palm Sunday. Close to everything we wanted. Will stay again!

My husband and I stayed with my mom, our three children (26,13,2) our nephew (9) and our dog. The house was the perfect size for all of us, we never felt cramped. It was very clean, the beds were so comfortable, kitchen had everything you needed to cook, back yard area was shaded and had a really nice ambiance. It’s so close to the historic downtown area and it’s very quiet at night time. We did not have hardly any traffic on our road, which was nice because of all of the kids. It was exactly what we wanted for our trip to Galveston.

Marvelous Mardi Gras!

This beautiful historic home was ideal for a Mardi Gras weekend! We had seven adults, so the bedrooms were the perfect configuration. We walked to the beach in the mornings and walked to the strand in the evenings. Could not get a better location! Communication was excellent, house was clean and comfortable, and beds were amazing! Highly recommended (except for Mardi Gras... that's for my family!! LOL)
